I was referred by a friend to come see Dustin to fix my tattoo I got a month ago. I will say he's a good guy who has had a lot of experience working and training other tattoo artists. Dustin was a genuine nice guy while tattooing me for the day. The things that kept me from giving a full 5 stars is being little late for my appointment and smoking constantly during the tattoo process. I learned a lot that that your work makes you accountable rather than your past discretions which everyone makes mistakes in life. I've gotten a total of four piercings from here, two of which I just got today, and never had a problem. Very clean and professional, but keep a casual environment so you can feel comfortable. They also have a dog in the waiting area, which is very calming for those who are anxious (like me lol). They'll also give you water if you need it before or after a piercing or tattoo. I am 110% content with my piercing! I decided that I wanted to get my earlobes pierced, and I'm so glad I came here instead of Claire's. My piercer was so friendly and approachable, and the piercing process was quick and easy because my piercer used a sterilized, one-time use needle rather than a piercing gun. If you're under 18, you'll need a parent to come with you to sign a form. I will always suggest this place to friends. I have gotten 2 piercings there so far and both have been quick and painless. My most recent piercing was my nose and I'm not going to lie I was very nervous. I believe her name was Sid or Syd something like that but she calmed me down and walked me through it until I was comfortable enough to get it and I didn't even feel the piercing at all. My sister and I walked in today and right away Polo went to work drawing up a design for us. We've never gotten tattoos or even pictured ourselves as ever getting one, but had a death in the family earlier this year and wanted to honor her. Came in today to get my nose pierced and from the moment my friend and I walked in, we felt the atmosphere was great. We had a fun little chat with a few of the employees while filling out some paperwork and whatnot. Lots of jokes, staff was super easy going and pleasant to be around, and the studio was very clean. Syd was the one who pierced my nose and I couldn't be any more satisfied. It was quick, easy, painless and all the aftercare instructions and the thereafter were explained to me thoroughly, which I very much appreciated seeing as I haven't had a new piercing in over 7 years when I took most of mine out. The thing that really won me over was how comfortable I felt when I was inside. I'm glad we decided to come to this specific studio because I now know where to go for my next tattoo. Oso did an amazing job on the tattoos I got with my best friends! We walked in that day figuring we'd likely be turned away, but they were able to start on our tattoos right away! Oso was very friendly and professional with all of us, including my friend who had never gotten a tattoo. My other friend got a little lightheaded during her tattoo and he gave her his own unopened water bottle and waited until she felt okay to continue tattooing. When you walk in the door at Studio 42 you haven't walked into a tattoo parlor or piercing shop, you've walked into the house where you're welcome to like family. Extremely skillful, knowledgeable, warm, friendly and caring staff. They will take excellent care of you here, whether you're getting pierced or tattooed or anything in between! Ok. Dustin is awesome. He pierced both of my tragus'. It was quick, and easy.  His years of experience showed in the room, because he eased my nerves.  I was scared as hell of the pain that was waiting ahead, but not bad at all.  He made me take a big breath, and it was over.  Seems like less than a minute for both.  Clean. Sterile. Pleasant. Had my daith pierced here by Dustin Schild. I came in as a walk in and was accommodated immediately. The piercer and receptionist were both very kind and easygoing, and made me feel at ease as I was clearly nervous. Everything was sanitary, and the piercing itself was done quickly and skillfully. Dustin was very concerned for my wellbeing and asked if I was alright, if I needed anything, etc. I was given clear instructions for taking care of my piercing, and told to call if I had any (and they meant ANY) questions or concerns. As a person who is not heavily tattooed or pierced, I often feel intimidated in tattoo shops. However, the people in Studio 42 made me feel comfortable and welcome. We didn't get started till almost 930 and I felt so bad because Dustin had been working the whole time but he took an extra h...our and a hlaf after the store closed to give me the most gorgeous tattoo I have so far. I love these guys! Their work quality is probably the best in Memphis. I get stopped over my piece all the time and so does my husband. It is amazing. They are fair priced too especially compared to the mediocre shops around here. Dustin tattoos my husband and he is now the only one that will.
