The shop is extraordinarily clean, the staff is very helpful and nice. One young man came in after I did wanting a tattoo on his hand and they refused him, explained why, and showed pictures of hand tattoos after they "heal." They also stated that they wished they had had the information themselves in the past, but the main reason they won't do hand tattoos is because it's a job killer. So I'm sure you're wondering, why one star when this place gets so many 5 star reviews? Well, I was very serious about getting my tattoo here, at Ambition, until I walked in the door and a honestly rude man with blonde hair looked at me and blurted "what do you want." Yes, I am a young girl, but I had cash in my pocket waiting to give to get a piece of art. I simply said "hi sir, I'd like a tree of life tattoo on my foot" and he said "okay give me a second to draw your design and I'll take you in the back." Excuse me? I never gave you the permission to work with me after you rudely greeted me. I may be young, but money is money. Doesn't matter if it's my first tattoo or 500th. TAKE EVERY COSTUMER SERIOUSLY. My first experience ever getting tattooed was awful because the artist was so rude to me. It made me never want to get tattooed ever again. On Friday the 13th I decided to go to Ambition for their $20 tattoo special and give it another shot. Tommy Lee was so awesome. He shook my hand and introduced himself, he was pleasant, friendly, and funny. Even though my tattoo probably took all of 5 minutes from set up to clean up, he completely changed my mind about getting tattooed and the entire experience. My boyfriend and I both will be back to get more work done by him. So professional, super clean, and a stellar staff to boot! Could not have asked for a better experience. Amanda was walking one of the apprentices through my septum piercing and she was great. Showing him all the important steps and things to look for. Will watched while she made some marks on my nose and got all the instruments set up.
