If I didnt have to put that one star up there i wouldnt have. I went to Paul because I really thought of him as a great tattoo artist. I had a friend working under him as an apprentice, so I seen a great deal of his work and such. I just recently decided i wanted a new tat. So I decided to let Paul do the honnors. A couple days later its red, swollen, hot, burning and my arm was in pain. So, I went to the shop to talk to him about it to find out what was happening because I h...ave never in my life or with my 6 other tats delt with anything like this. And some of my tats are from a younger time when I was stupid enough to get them done with a homemade gun. Anyway, I was trying to show him and talk to him about it, mind you I knew he was busy, i wasnt blind nor am i stupid. But he wouldnt even give me the time of day, told me nothing was wrong with it without looking at it, told me its because my shirt sleeve was tight(it wasnt), told me he was a tatto artist not a doctor and was just being a total jack ass to me. And believe me i was super nice to him the night I had gotten it done and tipped him very well. If i were and artist and wanted to keep my good rep i damn sure wouldnt treat customers that way! If he had asked me to wait until he was done with the person that was there, maybe didnt treat me like I was stupid and be so cruel I may not be as upset as I am. He did call my phone the next day and I had my sister answer. He asked her what was the problem I had. Yeah im upset the Tattoo is messed up he went to deep in some spots, but i wouldnt be that upset if hse would have just done what he should have and looked at the damn thing to see what we could do to fix it! Now im stuck with an aweful tat on my forearm thats going to be scarred and the color is coming out of. I am not a bad person, im pretty understanding, I realize people have bad days,but, he DID NOT have to be a douchie jerkoff and he could have told me to sit and wait and looked at this mess he made on my arm! And so I posted to this page a pic and circled the bad spots and put a note with it telling what happened, but i think he took it down. Im thinking about going to a lawyer to see what i can get done about this. Its not just something that goes away! I have to live with it forever!!! If you're looking to get a great tattoo Paul Stoner is the man. Not only is he an awesome guy but unbelievably talented. So talented he was voted best tattoo artist in Sumner County. Definitely worth the money and the drive wherever you you may be from. Paul has done a Beatles sleeve on me and I couldn't be happier. I get so many compliments on the inkwork that he has done. Paul Stoner is the ONLY person who touches me with a tattoo gun. I have 5 tattoos and Paul did my last four and is doing my next one this weekend. He is an amazing artist and even fixed my first tattoo that his once-upon-a-time apprentice Kelly (Second Skin) completely screwed up. He fixed it for me completely free of charge while doing my side piece. I didn't even ask. I just showed him what it looked like and he said, "Why not let me fix that while we're here with the same color ink?" He explains everything and will allow you to listen to music and just chill during the entire process. He is also very reasonably priced, especially given the amazing quality of his work. While I was getting my 9 hour back piece done I counted the awards in his studio at 70+. I've been recommending him for years. I've been going to Paul since 1997 and he has done 9 of my 11 tattoos. I wish I had gone to him for all of them because neither of my other ones compare to his work. I have a Cross tattoo on the side of my neck that Paul has done and of course I get comments about it all of the time and the work is so good everyone that sees it asks where I got it and tell me how vibrant and colorful it is. When I tell them it has been there for 11 years they are amazed it still looks like it had just been done, and of course when they ask where I had it done I say Second Chance Tattoo! I have been to Paul four times now and every time he has taken the time to design unique pieces according to what I am looking for. He takes his time and tries to please every customer that walks through his doors, which is made evident by the numerous awards he has received throughout his career that he has displayed in his parlor. I have one flash tattoo and three entirely custom tattoos and everyone has resulted in a wonderful piece. My latest piece, a chest piece, is one of the finest tattoos I have ever seen. Paul worked extremely hard to make the tattoo perfect. I was in his studio for 12 hours (three for design and nine for the actual tattoo) and he charged only 600 for a piece that others would have charged 1000+. He took his time and despite undercharging me for hourly work, made sure that the tattoo was done right without ever rushing. When you enter Paul's studio you have the choice to listen to any music you would like to, although his musical tastes are great for getting a tattoo. At his old parlor you had the option of watching movies while getting your tattoo, and he is currently working on that for his new location. Bottom line: When you choose Paul Stoner for a tattoo you are getting unmatched quality and an unmatched price for a true piece of artwork. He's a great guy and is much more amiable than the guys from Second Skin (who the owner was Paul's understudy). I have tattoos from both and I will never go anywhere else again for a tattoo because the experience is just not the same. Paul should be the only choice for your tattoo experience if you live close enough for his shop to be an option. Was sent here by a friend for a cover up..Paul gave me the run around for 2 weeks on drawing something for me.I was in the shop 3 times and it was never busy.If my cover up was too much for him or he just can't draw, honesty would have been appreciated. I got my first tattoo from Paul. Since then I've gotten tattoos from other places but none have been as beautiful or such a pleasant experience as my first (and my first tattoo is on my foot). One of those tattoo's I got from somewhere else turned out horribly. I thought I was stuck with this ugly tattoo. Then I thought of Paul and made the trip to Gallatin from Antioch. He is truly an artist not just someone who can trace pictures. He was able to take my horrible tattoo and make the most beautiful piece I've ever had that also had a lot of meaning to me.
