I don't usually write reviews, but I have to give credit where it's due. This place is awesome! Ive been getting tattooed for 20 years and am no stranger to tattoo shops. LBI is my favorite. Got some traditional work done by Dizzy and he exceeded my expectations. The tattooers at LBI are truly masters of their craft. Super professional and welcoming staff, extremely clean comfortable shop, and top notch tattoo's at a fair price made for a great experience. Very military friendly (just friendly in general). The atmosphere in this tattoo shop is pretty cool. My problem when I went in was that they had me look through artists' work, and when I chose an artist he didn't even tattoo there anymore. They had a lot of loud rap music blaring, which is not something that is very inviting to me. My boyfriend and I came in to get matching tattoos before he deploys. We were set on this cute idea on our wrist. I described the idea to doozy and he created something he liked instead of what I liked. He basically ruined our love momento. I was very disappointed with his idea and I should have spoke up but he basically belittled me since I only have 2 tattoos and I am not a expert in this field. We live in Tennessee where minors cannot get inked. After checking the health scores and making the drive to check out the place for myself, I knew immediately this was the place to allow my 17 year old to get his first tattoo. John was fantastic!  Kept asking my son if he was doing ok. Everyone was very personable and made us feel very comfortable. Cannot say enough about John (Jonathan) and the other artists and the sweetest receptionist. My only regret is I cannot remember everyone's names to publicly acknowledge them. Everyone here has great work & is extremely friendly & respectful. They care about what you want, but still give recommendations based on what they think is best for your vision. Some artists work solely in one style, but are obviously FANTASTIC within that style. I appreciated that my artist, Steven, was very sensitive to making sure my bits were covered when I was getting a large piece on my ribs & back that required my shirt being off. I came into LBI after visiting a few shops in town, but I didn't get the vibe. Instant love to the LBI environment. The receptionist(who's name I didn't get but she had red hair and was super nice) instantly greeted me and within minutes referred me to Kevin. Kevin came over within minutes, sat down, and actively took interest in what I wanted. He understood how important it was to me, which is something I had not gotten at the other shops. I came back today for my appointment. I left with the most wonderful tattoo I have ever received. I'm awe-struck! From what I've seen, their tattoo work is not bad. I went there during one of the free/$5 piercings promotion and the three piercings I got there, I have since had to remove since they were not done properly. I didn't expect the low quality to be the catch to the low price. My first piercing was my Tragus and it actually ripped out of my ear because it was pierced too shallow and was not going through the cartilage. (As said by the excellent piercer from my preferred shop...) Now I have scar tissue there and my ear is slightly misshapen. My other two piercings were my nipples. As soon as I got home I noticed my right one was a little crooked but I figured it wasnt too noticeable. I would say the biggest problem I had is instead of the suggested long bar for the new piercing, horseshoe rings were put in because "they're easier to clean". After later research when I began having problems it took me maybe five minutes to read that the horseshoe rings are not good for new nipple piercings because it puts too much downward pressure on the new fistulas. Because of the downward pressure put on my piercings they began to slide downward. Instead of having piercing holes, I had more or less a slit. Which made my right one extremely noticeably crooked. I went to my regular tattoo shop to speak with the piercer to get his professional opinion before deciding to remove them. He agreed and suggested I go ahead and remove them because they were already too crooked. Now when I go to get them redone at my preferred shop I will have to deal with the scar tissue with an already sensitive area. Though not my personal experience, the friend I went there with also got three piercings. She got both her tragus' done and hers are perfect. To which we guess is because she pierced mine first, realized what she did wrong and corrected it on her. She also got her belly button pierced which she has also had to take out because it was pierced too shallow. Since taking it out it is so shallow you cannot really tell where the entry was versus the exit because it looks like one large wound. Though the piercer was very kind, courteous, fun and easy to talk to, I find it hard to believe that she didn't notice the flaws after/while piercing and I wish she would have just said to me that she had messed up and taken them out and maybe offered to redo them later. When I first got to fort Campbell I was looking for a good tattoo artist. I found LBI and LBI II and couldn't be more happier. They do excellent work and are friendly people. Was greeted by a very friendly staff and got the opportunity to have the owner work with me. I chose to have my piece done. Y Dizzy but I wouldn't hesitate to have any of their other artists work with me. The pricing is very fair and it won't leave you stressing out over the price. Came in as a walk-in today. I only had the barest idea of what I wanted, which was a Doctor Who quote. Kevin was able to run the idea into a tattoo I throughly loved. I was a bit nervous going in. It was my first tattoo in 10 years and a much larger and more lavish design than my small wrist tattoo. I loved the work. I loved the atmosphere. I will be back for more. Cannot recommend enough. I have visited LBI on several occasions.  I have been with friends when they've gotten work done, I took my son there for his 18th birthday to get a piece done, and I have gotten work done there myself.  Everyone there is very friendly and approachable.  They actually WANT to talk to you about your ideas and vision for your piece instead of telling you how they think you should do it like other places do.  All of the artists are very talented, but Steve has become my artist of choice.  He is amazingly talented and does everything he can to make your vision a reality.  He gets excited about getting you in the chair.  And its not just because he is getting paid to do it, but because he honestly enjoys creating the artwork that is going to last you a lifetime.  And, of course, he guarantees his work for life!  All in all, its just an amazing place to go for any tattoo or piercing work you want done.  I HIGHLY recommend LBI!!
