I had a super tricky predicament. I had a tattoo started by my normal artist, and I did not explained the style well enough. ( I feel like I should take more pictures every time) So we did the beginning of my tattoo and it was not the direction or style I wanted and I decided ( with his blessing) to have it finished elsewhere. So I looked up the potterhead Jennifer Edge and fell in love. It was a patronus tattoo, and she was almost more excited than me. She invited me in that day to just look at it and discuss it. So I went and we set a date.Now I'm a baby when it comes to my back and have a bad pain tolerance. She was so nice about it. She said she wanted me to just let her know to take breaks and she used products that would help to sooth while she worked. Then whole time not making me feel like I should be ashamed. I have a few more sittings to finish it and I am so excited to go back. She was the kindest person and honestly made me feel like I was hanging out with friends. I had a great visit and plan to visit that shop even after my piece is done. She had a very talented team so it's worth a look. I was super excited about getting a tattoo here by one of the artists.. we had a date picked and something came up with them, then something came up with me the next time, and then after that i never really heard from them again. I had already paid the $50 deposit, but wasn't hearing back from the artist to reschedule. Super frustrated because I was super excited about the tattoo and i figured they would have wanted my business. I honestly think there shouldn't be a star for ratings. When someone comes in with a drawing they wish to have tatted on their body, that they have connected with because it's 'their remembrance of their grandparents', then telling someone you don't feel comfortable doing the work because it's not 'realistic' or 'your design' is BULLSHIT! NEVER will my child walk back into your shop for anything. That's the realistic part of poor business ethics. Read Less

I'm very disappointed in my experience with Main Line Ink. I contacted the shop about 5 months in advance to make an appointment for my friend and I to get large tattoos done by Danny. My friend and I were going to travel the country for a little over a month, and the plan was to get commemorative tattoos at the end of our trip before we got back home to Florida. A month before we left for our trip, the shop contacted us saying that Danny was now going to be out of town the date we had our appointment set. Because we wanted to get tattooed by him, we changed our schedule and stayed in Tennessee a few extra days. What we didn't know was that he was out of town for a tattoo convention. So, did he decide to blow off an appointment to go last minute, or was the appointment booked when he really wasn't available? We also had to contact the shop a few days before our appointment to find out what time to be there, because they hadn't told us. Two hours before our appointment, Danny emailed me and said that he was still at the airport and was sick, so he wouldn't be able to tattoo us. He said that he was hoping to feel better when he got back, and would contact me. So, my friend and I hung out in Chattanooga all day waiting to hear back from him, and never did. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe he actually was sick. However, I follow him on Instagram, and I shortly after found out that he was not sick at all. He was in Nashville having a grand ole' time, posting videos to his Instagram story. So, we got completely screwed over and weren't able to get the tattoos that meant so much to my friend and I. Main Line is truly an amazing shop! The employees are friendly and everyone so in incredibly talented! I contacted Lynn to see if he would be interested in a rework/ cover up that I got with another shop in town. After having a horrible experience I was hesitant to give another shop/ tattoo artist a try. I'm so grateful that I did. I got a tattoo from Jennifer at a festival, so I haven't been to the actual shop, but if Jennifer Edge is tattooing there, you should go!I didn't come to the festival with plans of getting a tattoo, but then I saw someone with fresh ink and decided to look into it. I had been thinking about getting a hashtag tattoo for about a year (there's a lot of significance in that symbol for me), and I've been wanting a watercolor tattoo, but haven't found anyone whose work I loved and was accessible. From the second I saw what Jennifer could do, I knew I wanted her to tattoo me. We had a quick consult, she totally got the vision I was trying to articulate, and it was awesome to have her sketch it right on me and use her creativity. Given that it was at a campground, I was worried about how clean it would be, but she had her little tattooing cabin set up impeccably, and I knew I didn't need to think about it again. She worked really quickly, and helped make exactly the right amount of conversation to take my mind off the fact that it "tickled" A LOT. I literally shed a tear when I saw the finished product because it was even better than what I had imagined, not only in design/style, but in execution. My boyfriend has a lot of tattoos, and when he saw it, he was truly impressed by how well it had been done, especially when I told him how quickly she worked - I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Jennifer was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would travel to Chattanooga to have her tattoo me again. Her artwork is stunning, and a friend is considering having her design a tattoo and then traveling to have it done because of how unique and realistic her watercolor work is.
