Sioux Falls Premier Body Art Studio. VB Tattoo specializes in all types of tattoo art including traditional, oriental/Japanese, Realism/Portraiture, and Tribal tattooing. We have a talented, artistic staff willing to create from scratch or help develop your concept. We also offer a wide variety of piercings and body jewelry. A government issued ID is required for all tattoos and piercings. You must be at least 18 years or older to get pierced or tattooed on your own. We WILL NOT tattoo minors even with parental consent, however we will pierce anyone under the age of 18 with parental consent NO EXCEPTIONS will be made.

Sense they won't post my review on Facebook I'll tell my story here.....Let me start and say please don't go to Asher..I was getting a cover up all around horrible experience!!!! Mainly on my last session. My first session I went in and seen my design she had drawn up and I liked it it had everything I wanted and asked for but I didn't want it to go around my leg so I told her that and I told her I wanted it to go Down my leg so she went on google and printed out a bunch of flowers and took 3 1/2 hours to place them ( which I didn't get charged for) and by the end of it and looked at it it was completely purple so I couldn't even see what the tattoo was so I figured everything was in there and that it looked good. That was a mistake. So she did the lines I paid her and left. Then I actually seen the tattoo and I got ahold of her before my next session and told her that everything wasn't in it and sent her a picture of what was missing and she said she would add it! Mind she had a huge spot to put it in because one side of my leg wasnt Symmetric to the other. When I got there I asked her about the banner the main part in the tattoo and she told me not to worry she would put it in later. So I believe her! That was my second mistake. And she asked me if I wanted it all color or black and white and I told her I wanted the flowers black and white and the humming birds color and told her the colors I wanted, and she told me that people don't do that because it contrasting styles and that it either had to be black and white or color. So I told her ok I wanted color. So she redid every line and colored two flowers and charged me another 280. Before my third session I asked her what this random diamond was she added at the bottom and she told me that she would have to look at it so I sent another picture and she said oh it's part of the contrast of the final design so when I got to my third session the first thing she said is I figured out what I was doing with the diamond and I will fix it today and told me she was going to do color on the inside and black and white on the outside.( I thought that couldn't be done) Little did I know it was all fucked up from there not only did she add a bigger random diamond she didn't do anything to the existing one she told me she was fixing! When I seen it I was crushed I went to other tattoo artist to get a second opinion on what could be done for it and they both told me another cover up! I cried my eyes out hearing that not only have I already paid over $800 other people think the only way to get it fixed was to cover up the cover up that was the hole back of my leg. But the stupidity I have I went back because she said I was going to be done and everything was going to blend together and look great. So I went for my final session and as soon as I got there I asked her what this random black patch was in the middle of everything and she told me it was the back ground and it had to be like that so the colors could pop. So she did the background and finished the flowers and put some random dots on the outside of the diamond no shading or black and white or anything she did no highlights in the flowers or the background and said ok I'm done and I looked at it and my heart absolutely broke and she told me it would be 310 and -50 for the deposit so it came out to $$260 so I paid her and I only spent 2 hours and 20 min and we took one break and in the middle a lady came in and she stopped for about 15 20 minutes to do her consultation. That she made me pay for! Well after I left I was thinking about it that and I text her and told her I had a question about how much I paid and she came up with three different prices after that and was like oh I over charged you by $59 and said I could come get it and that it would be on the front counter in an envelope so I went and got it and she texted me later saying I stole her change for a $50And I texted her back and said I took the money in the envelope you gave me and that I never even understood her math. Long story short the banner the main part of the tattoo never got put it and my design was lost and it was nothing like I wanted she didn't take my opinion into any part of my tattoo! All I wanted was a simple tattoo of flowers and hummingbirds for my grandma that's all I wanted and she had to make everything complicated and I paid over $1200.

I set up an appointment with Dale a month ago for May 23 at 1:00pm. I arrived early, met with Dale who informed me that I was suppose to be there last Tuesday. I informed him that it was indeed set for today. He said that he tried to call me, I informed him that he did not call me. He finally brought up our emails back and forth and I was actually scheduled for today at 1:00pm. He said, well, I tried to call you. I said no, you didn't, my phone is my business phone and I ALWAYS answer it. He brings up another section of his Ipad and reads a phone number to me, not my phone number. He never apologized, never said I'm sorry, I screwed up. In fact he acted like it was my fault for not showing up on a day when I didn't have an appointment. If this is his attitude toward business and customer service I'm glad that things transpired as they did because I don't want someone with such a careless attitude working for me. Avoid Vishnu, stay the hell away from Dale.

i had an impulsive decision to get a tattoo and this is the place i chose! i called on a saturday at 11:45, and they got me in at 1:30! i had Solomon (i think that's how you spell it) as my artist and he was great! i just wanted a small rose on my upper forearm and i was out of there by 2:45 (with changing the tattoo up a bit, paperwork, and the tattoo taking about 45 minutes itself). i loved the feel of the place and everyone was so nice! this is how it looks 5 days after, and i'm still loving it! 10/10 would recommend.

I was originally so excited when I got a tattoo a year ago here. I heard it was a trusted place and the artist’s portfolios looked great. I had a lady who I asked to do a rose on my arm. I liked the piece originally and then noticed many novice mistakes - mainly because I saw her starting/finishing the sketch haphazardly before my appointment. It’s beyond the point of touch-ups and just looks messy. Then I asked her to do a cover up. I could tell she was nervous to do it but instead of advising me to go to someone who has more experience, she did it anyway. It ended up looking like a huge black blob (the only word I can find to describe it). I immediately left the building after paying and fell into tears. I’m into my 5th session of lazer removal and down so much money because of it. It makes me sad because I really think this is a great location and I understand that mistakes happen, but it just seems to continually be a disappointment - and one that changed my life. I’m embarrassed of my tattoos to the point I can no longer wear short sleeves and can only wear long sleeves to cover up the mess of my arm tattoos. Not sure if there’s much anyone can do now.

Wrote again a few hours later and was assured again I'd get a message back. Next day called in and they took my name and number and assured someone would call me back. Never heard from anyone.Giving them two stars because the artists work looks great on the site, just wish I could have gotten in. Maybe try a new scheduling system?

Very willing to fit you in their schedule, I had called and asked for an appointment for that day after work -I live an hour away so when they set up an appointment for me that day I was grateful!

My boyfriend and I went to check out the artists and talk about getting another tattoo. However when we entered the shop no one greeted us. We were there for 20min looking at books waiting for someone to talk to. We saw an artist finishing up and two more wondering around so we figured “let’s give them a few minutes to catch up” however still nothing. A few minutes later a group of girls came in to look at jewelry and immediately they were greeted. I enjoyed the art bust customer service is terrible. Hope this doesn’t happen to everyone.

I am disappointed. TL;DR - Waited 2 hours for a 3 minute tattoo we called ahead for and it's not even done well. Other clients came and went in the time we waited. Not very clean environment.My husband and I decided on a whim to get tattoos. We called ahead early on a Saturday morning and were told there would be an artist available for us at 3:30. So, we arrived a little before the scheduled time, but had to wait 30 minutes for the artist. No big deal. We did schedule on a Saturday. We were brought back to a room with computers to design the tattoos. Mine was a simple quote. The artist proceeded to choose fonts for me. I would have liked the option to choose the font I preferred and then have him provide input on sizing and whether or not he felt it was appropriate for placement and aging/wear. Instead, I felt pressured to like fonts he chose. In the end, I decided to go with a different tattoo because 1) he said my first choice was not practical in a small size and 2) I didn't like the font. I had brought 2 back ups, a quote and a design. I went with a quote on my wrist in a super simple font. We then proceeded to sit in this back room for 40 minutes while the artist wandered about the shop, not keeping us informed at all. Other staff seemed confused as to why we were sitting around. This back room also had dirty Tupperware and dishes strewn about. We considered leaving. To make the situation even more frustrating, a woman walked in off the street looking for a tattoo. One of the artists brought her back and left her alone with the computer to design what she wanted; her son's names if I remember correctly. (Note, she also ended up getting her tattoo and leaving before I got mine). Finally, our artist informed us that his machine had broken...twice. A reassuring thought when about to get tattooed. It took another 20 minutes for him to get me set up at his station (where it appeared his machine malfunctioned again). I should have left. The tattoo itself took 3 minutes and is unimpressive. Definitely not worth $80. I will post a picture, but you can see that the first 'v' is too high and thicker than the other letters. It's not easy to see in the picture, but the second 'v' and the 'd' have some funky looking lines, too. It wouldn't bother me so much if I hadn't waited almost 2 hours for it. My husband, on the other hand, got a great tattoo. Our artist actually gave him to another artist (Nando) so he could get what he wanted; our artist said he felt uncomfortable giving a tattoo with the detail my husband wanted.I am only giving three stars because of Nando and his willingness to help out.I would only be willing to try this place again with another artist and an appointment scheduled way in advance.

Just received my second and largest tattoo by Rob. I walked into the shop and he was ready to go. He walked me through his process and the whole three hours he was wonderful and explained everything he was doing. He took his time and put his own creative spin into my piece. He even asked me to come in once it's healed to make sure everything looks good. I told him he couldn't leave because I don't want to go to anyone else. Vishnu Bunny is lucky to have such an awesome artist. Will definitely be back.

The piercing was quick, and he was very thorough when explaining cleaning and maintenance. I've never had a piercing heal so flawlessly and I'm so happy with it! I have already recommended him to friends and will absolutely return here for future piercings.

My five star rating is for the excellent customer service I received today. I had an appointment today ( according to my appointment card) at 1 pm today. The appointment book had me down for 1 pm on 5/11/17. The manager, a very helpful young lady called my artist at home. We talked for a few minutes. Every one was very professional. We got things sorted out. And even though I have to wait a couple extra weeks, I am even more stoked to get my tattoo done.

Vishnu will be my go-to shop for a very long time. We have brought many of our friends here as well. Erik has done five of my piercings (conches, philtrum, and nostrils) and all of the piercings healed wonderfully and the paired ones are lined up perfectly. Johnny did my tattoo a little over a month ago now (the storm cloud with lighting that was posted) and it has healed beautifully and is incredibly vibrant. I can't wait to continue working with Johnny and Erik! Thanks so much Vishnu!

We are very happy with my daughter's ear piercings. Amy was very nice. We were very disappointed in the selection of earrings. Everything we liked, they didn't have the match for, and it wasn't clear that the prices quoted was for 1 earring, which when you are getting a child's ears pierced, you'd figure we would like the set price, lol. The process turned out to me a bit more traumatizing for my daughter and bemusing for me than getting the gun earrings put in at the mal...l, but I am hoping it turns out that this way of piercing turns out to be better in the long run for healing in a way that makes it easier for her to get her earrings in and out in the future, which is why we chose this route, as it was recommended. I would use them again in the future for our other daughter's piercings, but I would make sure to check WELL in advance to make sure you get any sort of earrings styles you hope for. Žiūrėti daugiau

When I got there I asked her about the banner the main part in the tattoo and she told me not to worry she would put it in later. So I believe her! That was my second mistake. And she asked me if I wanted it all color or black and white and I told her I wanted the flowers black and white and the humming birds color and told her the colors I wanted, and she told me that people don't do that because it contrasting styles and that it either had to be black and white or color. So I told her ok I wanted color. So she redid every line and colored two flowers and charged me another 280. Before my third session I asked her what this random diamond was she added at the bottom and she told me that she would have to look at it so I sent another picture and she said oh it's part of the contrast of the final design so when I got to my third session the first thing she said is I figured out what I was doing with the diamond and I will fix it today and told me she was going to do color on the inside and black and white on the outside.( I thought that couldn't be done) Little did I know it was all fucked up from there not only did she add a bigger random diamond she didn't do anything to the existing one she told me she was fixing! When I seen it I was crushed I went to other tattoo artist to get a second opinion on what could be done for it and they both told me another cover up! I cried my eyes out hearing that not only have I already paid over $800 other people think the only way to get it fixed was to cover up the cover up that was the hole back of my leg. But the stupidity I have I went back because she said I was going to be done and everything was going to blend together and look great. So I went for my final session and as soon as I got there I asked her what this random black patch was in the middle of everything and she told me it was the back ground and it had to be like that so the colors could pop. So she did the background and finished the flowers and put some random dots on the outside of the diamond no shading or black and white or anything she did no highlights in the flowers or the background and said ok I'm done and I looked at it and my heart absolutely broke and she told me it would be 310 and -50 for the deposit so it came out to $$260 so I paid her and I only spent 2 hours and 20 min and we took one break and in the middle a lady came in and she stopped for about 15 20 minutes to do her consultation. That she made me pay for! Well after I left I was thinking about it that and I text her and told her I had a question about how much I paid and she came up with three different prices after that and was like oh I over charged you by $59 and said I could come get it and that it would be on the front counter in an envelope so I went and got it and she texted me later saying I stole her change for a $50And I texted her back and said I took the money in the envelope you gave me and that I never even understood her math. Long story short the banner the main part of the tattoo never got put it and my design was lost and it was nothing like I wanted she didn't take my opinion into any part of my tattoo! All I wanted was a simple tattoo of flowers and hummingbirds for my grandma that's all I wanted and she had to make everything complicated and I paid over $1200.

I set up an appointment with Dale a month ago for May 23 at 1:00pm. I arrived early, met with Dale who informed me that I was suppose to be there last Tuesday. I informed him that it was indeed set for today. He said that he tried to call me, I informed him that he did not call me. He finally brought up our emails back and forth and I was actually scheduled for today at 1:00pm. He said, well, I tried to call you. I said no, you didn't, my phone is my business phone and I ALWAYS answer it. He brings up another section of his Ipad and reads a phone number to me, not my phone number. He never apologized, never said I'm sorry, I screwed up. In fact he acted like it was my fault for not showing up on a day when I didn't have an appointment. If this is his attitude toward business and customer service I'm glad that things transpired as they did because I don't want someone with such a careless attitude working for me. Avoid Vishnu, stay the hell away from Dale.

i had an impulsive decision to get a tattoo and this is the place i chose! i called on a saturday at 11:45, and they got me in at 1:30! i had Solomon (i think that's how you spell it) as my artist and he was great! i just wanted a small rose on my upper forearm and i was out of there by 2:45 (with changing the tattoo up a bit, paperwork, and the tattoo taking about 45 minutes itself). i loved the feel of the place and everyone was so nice! this is how it looks 5 days after, and i'm still loving it! 10/10 would recommend.

I was originally so excited when I got a tattoo a year ago here. I heard it was a trusted place and the artist’s portfolios looked great. I had a lady who I asked to do a rose on my arm. I liked the piece originally and then noticed many novice mistakes - mainly because I saw her starting/finishing the sketch haphazardly before my appointment. It’s beyond the point of touch-ups and just looks messy. Then I asked her to do a cover up. I could tell she was nervous to do it but instead of advising me to go to someone who has more experience, she did it anyway. It ended up looking like a huge black blob (the only word I can find to describe it). I immediately left the building after paying and fell into tears. I’m into my 5th session of lazer removal and down so much money because of it. It makes me sad because I really think this is a great location and I understand that mistakes happen, but it just seems to continually be a disappointment - and one that changed my life. I’m embarrassed of my tattoos to the point I can no longer wear short sleeves and can only wear long sleeves to cover up the mess of my arm tattoos. Not sure if there’s much anyone can do now.

My boyfriend and I went to check out the artists and talk about getting another tattoo. However when we entered the shop no one greeted us. We were there for 20min looking at books waiting for someone to talk to. We saw an artist finishing up and two more wondering around so we figured “let’s give them a few minutes to catch up” however still nothing. A few minutes later a group of girls came in to look at jewelry and immediately they were greeted. I enjoyed the art bust customer service is terrible. Hope this doesn’t happen to everyone.

I am disappointed. TL;DR - Waited 2 hours for a 3 minute tattoo we called ahead for and it's not even done well. Other clients came and went in the time we waited. Not very clean environment.My husband and I decided on a whim to get tattoos. We called ahead early on a Saturday morning and were told there would be an artist available for us at 3:30. So, we arrived a little before the scheduled time, but had to wait 30 minutes for the artist. No big deal. We did schedule on a Saturday. We were brought back to a room with computers to design the tattoos. Mine was a simple quote. The artist proceeded to choose fonts for me. I would have liked the option to choose the font I preferred and then have him provide input on sizing and whether or not he felt it was appropriate for placement and aging/wear. Instead, I felt pressured to like fonts he chose. In the end, I decided to go with a different tattoo because 1) he said my first choice was not practical in a small size and 2) I didn't like the font. I had brought 2 back ups, a quote and a design. I went with a quote on my wrist in a super simple font. We then proceeded to sit in this back room for 40 minutes while the artist wandered about the shop, not keeping us informed at all. Other staff seemed confused as to why we were sitting around. This back room also had dirty Tupperware and dishes strewn about. We considered leaving. To make the situation even more frustrating, a woman walked in off the street looking for a tattoo. One of the artists brought her back and left her alone with the computer to design what she wanted; her son's names if I remember correctly. (Note, she also ended up getting her tattoo and leaving before I got mine). Finally, our artist informed us that his machine had broken...twice. A reassuring thought when about to get tattooed. It took another 20 minutes for him to get me set up at his station (where it appeared his machine malfunctioned again). I should have left. The tattoo itself took 3 minutes and is unimpressive. Definitely not worth $80. I will post a picture, but you can see that the first 'v' is too high and thicker than the other letters. It's not easy to see in the picture, but the second 'v' and the 'd' have some funky looking lines, too. It wouldn't bother me so much if I hadn't waited almost 2 hours for it. My husband, on the other hand, got a great tattoo. Our artist actually gave him to another artist (Nando) so he could get what he wanted; our artist said he felt uncomfortable giving a tattoo with the detail my husband wanted.I am only giving three stars because of Nando and his willingness to help out.I would only be willing to try this place again with another artist and an appointment scheduled way in advance.

Just received my second and largest tattoo by Rob. I walked into the shop and he was ready to go. He walked me through his process and the whole three hours he was wonderful and explained everything he was doing. He took his time and put his own creative spin into my piece. He even asked me to come in once it's healed to make sure everything looks good. I told him he couldn't leave because I don't want to go to anyone else. Vishnu Bunny is lucky to have such an awesome artist. Will definitely be back.

The piercing was quick, and he was very thorough when explaining cleaning and maintenance. I've never had a piercing heal so flawlessly and I'm so happy with it! My five star rating is for the excellent customer service I received today. I had an appointment today ( according to my appointment card) at 1 pm today. The appointment book had me down for 1 pm on 5/11/17. The manager, a very helpful young lady called my artist at home. We talked for a few minutes. Every one was very professional. We got things sorted out. And even though I have to wait a couple extra weeks, I am even more stoked to get my tattoo done.

Vishnu will be my go-to shop for a very long time. We have brought many of our friends here as well. Erik has done five of my piercings (conches, philtrum, and nostrils) and all of the piercings healed wonderfully and the paired ones are lined up perfectly. Johnny did my tattoo a little over a month ago now (the storm cloud with lighting that was posted) and it has healed beautifully and is incredibly vibrant. I can't wait to continue working with Johnny and Erik! Thanks so much Vishnu!

We are very happy with my daughter's ear piercings. Amy was very nice. We were very disappointed in the selection of earrings. Everything we liked, they didn't have the match for, and it wasn't clear that the prices quoted was for 1 earring, which when you are getting a child's ears pierced, you'd figure we would like the set price, lol. The process turned out to me a bit more traumatizing for my daughter and bemusing for me than getting the gun earrings put in at the mal...l, but I am hoping it turns out that this way of piercing turns out to be better in the long run for healing in a way that makes it easier for her to get her earrings in and out in the future, which is why we chose this route, as it was recommended. I would use them again in the future for our other daughter's piercings, but I would make sure to check WELL in advance to make sure you get any sort of earrings styles you hope for. Žiūrėti daugiau
