I will get right down to it. I was on vacation and wanted a new piercing after looking at the shops in the area I went with this one after reading reading their reviews and looking at their photos. Both the wife and I have extensive background in emergency medicine. She also has extensive in infection prevention. With our backgrounds, our expectations were so high we weren’t sure how it was going to end up. Upon entering we were greeted by Jenna, who was very kind and soft spoken. I talked to her about what I wanted and the placement. She then began her questions on material, gauge, etc. Once all was decided on, we continued with paperwork. Once we entered the piercing studio, everything was very clean and well kept. As she was getting setup she engaged us in small talk all while explaining everything to us including showing us it was new unopened materials. The procedure was very quick and swift. Before I knew it she was explaining aftercare. The wife and I couldn’t believe how clean and professional everything was which totally blew our expectations out of the water. We finally told her our backgrounds. She never batted eye which tells me that she wasn’t surprised she did an outstanding job. My friend got her nose pierced at this place and the placement was incorrect. They take advantage of people who haven't had piercings done before and overcharge them...the piece of jewelry they used on her nose cost them only 64 cents and they charged her 25 dollars for it. A professional piercer we later went to had to take the jewelry out and showed us how cheap the metal was and that numbing gel should not be used anywhere on the body because it damages the nerves when the needle goes in. The placement of the piercing was also in an area that hits nerves and causes unnecessary aches that should not be there. NEVER GO HERE ITS NOT SAFE!!! I came in to get my nose pierced and I got it pierced by jackie, the experience was pleasant UNTIL I saw the price, the total was $87 which is way too much.. my friend wanted to get her nose pierced but waited till we got back in town since we were on vacation at the beach, so we go to another piercing shop and I have the lady check out my nose and she said “what the hell is that” she said the sizing of the jewelry wasn’t correct and would eventually cause problems with the healing process, said the placement wasn’t correct, and I also got the numbing cream at Jackie’s and was told by this other piercer that numbing cream is unsafe do to nerve damage!!! Also the after care process I was told to use a saline soulution and neosporin and those are horrible!!! To use on a healing piercing everything about this was done incorrectly, I had to get my nose stud taken out before it healed, basically nothing was done right. Never go here please. Granted the lady (Jenna) did take me 5 mins to closing but she act like she had an attitude or didn’t want to pierce me...dry conversation and she act like she didn’t want to honor my military id...and when I asked her a simple question instead of making small conversation she was very dry and had a simple answer: “I’m just a piercer I can’t give advise”... when she was done she didn’t even show me the piercing she said she forgot and my husband had to take a picture to show me because she was worried about getting off which all she had to say was we’re closed if she didn’t want to do it...next time I will just wait and go to dr piercing especially for $109... I would put ten stars if I could. AMAZING place to go. Traveled all the way from GA and was hesitant to visit a place out of town. I have several piercings and wish I had let her do them all. A few days ago I went into "Professional Body Piercing by Jackie" to get a Daith piercing with the hopes of attaining migraine relief. Only time will tell... Jenna was amazing from the minute I walked into and out of the door. She explained EVERYTHING from the different types of metal choices, as well as breaking down the costs of EVERYTHING. I wasn't surprised with ANY hidden fees or costs, I knew ahead of time exactly what the cost would be. She explained everything as she ...did it and I barely felt a thing as she pierced me. (My 10, almost 11, year old daughter was standing outside of the room looking into the glass window laughing at me, which helped some!) After my piercing was done, I then starting talking to Jenna about titanium hoop earrings for my daughter being that she, also, can only wear titanium or solid gold earrings. The hoops my daughter wanted only came in 18 gauge in which Jenna explained that she would have to stretch my daughters prior piercing a little in order to get them in so, needless to say, my daughter went with the smaller hoops! Jenna even went a step further and put my daughters hoops in for FREE, using Neosporin as a lubricant for easier insertion since my daughter hadn't worn earrings in quite a while. She explained to my daughter, prior to the purchase and insertion, that these weren't the type of earrings you change out every few days or even weeks. They stay in for months unless, or until, we buy a new pair but, even so, I would still probably need them changed out by a professional, which is fine. Thank you Jenna for the wonderful experience. Took my daughter in to have her septum pierced and while I was there I went ahead and had the daith piercing done. Immediately when I walked in I was very impressed with the clean and sterile environment. I'm ALWAYS leary of tatoo/piercing parlors so immediately I was a bit more at ease. Jackie was sooo professional, friendly and most importantly, knowledgeable and honest. She explained the types of metals, then she went over all the pricing BEFORE it was done, explained exactly what she was doing, when she was going to do it, how everything was sterilized and in their packages, and ALL the aftercare instructions. Went to get my belly button redone this past weekend while on vacay at the beach. The cost was double what I thought it would bc the disposal cost and sterilization cost aren't on the page but they are posted in the shop. I also had to have titanium which costs more and I wasn't aware I would need something better than stainless steel but that is not the shops fault it was actually very helpful to know that. I'd had it done before and they just used a piercing needle so I was... worried this would be the same and I was nervous, had the option for numbing but didn't want the extra cost so decided to tough it out bc they use clamps so I hoped that would take the edge off. Jenna explained why I needed the metal I did, she used the clamps and talked to me about my vacay and I felt the tug of the piercer going through but didn't hurt a bit. So I'm another one who's guilty of getting a piercing (or two, or three, or...) back in January and forgetting to write a review. Bygones... I had been contemplating dermal's for almost a year before I got up the courage to visit this establishment. I stopped into two other shops on different occasions and opted not to proceed for various reasons. Jenna and my fellow Patriots fan at the desk (I'm so sorry but your name is escaping me �) were AMAZING! They both took quite a bi...t of time making sure to address all my concerns and answer all my questions. I'm not much for numbing as I feel pain is part of the process but Jenna still wanted to make sure I knew these piercings would feel quite a bit different from any others I had done in the past. I passed on the option but appreciated the time that was taken to explain what to expect. My biggest concern was, what if they "reject"? Unfortunately there's no simple answer to that. I mean, you can do everything right from an aftercare perspective and your body may not agree with the foreign object you've put there... Jenna told me what to watch for, what to be cautious of, best practices, etc. I had one minor problem with a top jewel coming off the base but it was because I chose to use a q-tip instead of a cotton ball and decided to gently dab in a circular motion which ended up loosening the jewelry! Jenna explained what happened and reattached it with no problem. She told me to wait at least four-six weeks for healing before coming back to change the sizes so I did. After waiting the appropriate amount of time I returned to the shop and my jewelry was swapped to new ones of my choice! Apparently this can be done as often as you like. � Since my initial experience went so swimmingly I've been back for additional dermal's, I have received the same exceptional level of service, and I will most definitely plan to visit again in the not too distant future. Disappointing experience. I would not recommend! We were told that the cost for my daughter's navel piercing yesterday would be $30 for the piercing plus the cost of jewelry. They didn't mention the additional fees such as sterilization, etc. I believe that was an additional $20. We got there early and waited for the doors to open. Jenna showed up and walked a dog into the shop and told us to wait outside. We went in after waiting outside a few minutes. My extremely timid and... well behaved 4 year old granddaughter was sitting with her mother on the couch and stood up on it. She is extremely petite and the size of a two year old. She was not jumping or being loud. Jenna told her to sit down instead of standing which would have been fine if she'd been nice about it. My daughter in law actually left the shop because of her tone and manner. I wish I had left then but my daughter really wanted to get her navel pierced for her 16th bday while on vacation. Jenna's rudeness continued through the rest of the visit. She acted like we were an inconvenience that she had to suffer through. Thankfully it was a short visit because you definitely don't feel welcome! The only reason I gave a 2 instead of a 1 for this review was because the piercing went fine and we were in and out in a timely fashion. When you own a business, customer service goes a long way. That's something this shop really needs to work on because I found it ironic they had a license plate in the front window with "friendly" on it when our experience was the complete opposite. Btw, when we left the shop the temperature was 90 degrees and there was another dog left in her car in a crate in the back of her car with the trunk propped open a few inches. I walked in on my 3rd day in a row with a migraine to get the daith piercing. As soon as she was done the migraine dulled and within 30 minutes it was completely gone! That was 2 weeks ago and I haven't had a migraine since! Very professional and caring place! Would definitely recommend! Read Less

Ok....I got my piercing in February, I didn't leave my review then because I forgot. But after reading the 1 star review I figured it's time to leave my review. I was terrified and they made me feel a lot better. She talked to me about metal type before I even looked at jewelry. I bought double numbing and it still hurt BUT I attribute that to Jenna being the professional she is, new I wouldn't make it 15 minutes of waiting for it to kick in...and just went ahead and did the piercing. I could be wrong but even though it wasnt numb I don't feel ripped off....we will give the numbing another shot when I go for my next piercing...soon! A few years ago I went to Jackie to go get my nose pierced. Walked into every shop in that strip and as soon as I walked into Jackie's I said to myself "this is where I want it done". The environment is so clean. The staff is so friendly. I was frightened because I am terrified of needles. She sat there and talked me through it. Told me what was gonna happen and what to expect. She didn't cut corners. I had no problems whatsoever. She made it very clear to me what metal I sh...ould use. Told me what was in each metal so there was no reactions. The numbing was terrific. So 2 years ago I was very pleased. Especially when I had any questions after the piercing, she was only a call away and more than happy to answer any questions. Today I made a spur of the moment decision to go get my daith pierced to see if it really helped with migraines. Didn't consider anyone else for my piercing other than Jackie. Once again she talked me right through what was going to happen. Recovery time. EVERYTHING I needed to know BEFORE the piercing. Once again she talked me through the metal I needed (which I already knew) and what shape jewelry would be best for me and she couldn't have been more right. Let me start out by saying that I did not get pierced at Jackie's. However, I do have input about both the shop and the managment as well. I am not from the area, but from New Jersey who was on vacation and spoke to one of the girls weeks prior. I dediced to bring information needed to get my piercing. When my family and I got there, Jackie, the manager approached me and asked for some identification. However,  I forgot and mistakenly did not bring my birth certificate thinking that my report card, would be enough because it said my grade number. She did not think it was enough and I did not get pierced. Although, I was disappointed and pissed, I did however learn two things. One: bring a birth certificate.  Two: Although, I was really hoping she would budge and pierce me anyway, she didnt. Which shows her true character and professional stand point. I absolutely recommend Jackie's shop to anyone who wants to get pierced!  It was clean and Jackie was extremely professional. Other shops, possibly could've let it slide (since my mom was there) but she didn't due to her love and loyalty to her business and because she's an honest person who follows the law. I went to Jackie's to get some jewelry for my nostril piercing. I did not get pierced, but if I lived in Myrtle Beach I would not hesitate to go to Jackie! Would have given 0 stars if possible.  Went to get my daughter a piercing for her 16th Bday in 5 days but was told we needed a physical from her Dr. or school, which is fine since that's the law but her attitude, rudeness & comment "well come back in 5 days!", was just unnecessary.  It may not mean much to most but a little kindness / customer service goes a long way...you will not find it there!
