So. Many. Bad. Vibes. Yesterday after a trip to the see the Angel Oak, we stopped in to have lunch. We had a large party... 3 adults and 6 children. Despite having two open tables inside, they told us we would have to sit outside. The heat index was around 105. The staff initially attempted to sit us in direct sunlight, when we requested a shaded area, she took us to the very back of the patio where there was zero airflow. While they do have outside ceiling fans, it was quite obvious that they are NEVER turned on. They were coated in cobwebs and dirty. The staff member said we would receive "quicker service" being seated where we were. After about 5-10 minutes we had not seen any wait staff, so my sister went inside to inquire about inside seating. While inside waiting to speak to someone, she was passed over by a staff member for two gentlemen who came in. They were offered immediate seating. She was eventually told they would have to make room and clean off tables for us. While we were inside waiting, a staff member approached me and said "we have to find chairs for everyone." Her exasperated tone was the final straw. We collectively decided to go elsewhere to find lunch.  There were other large groups, as well as children, present at the time we attempted to dine here. So, we aren't really sure what the issue was with our particular party. Could have it have been that it was three women with kids? Possibly that we are a racially diverse group? Maybe it was because we are all tall! Who the heck knows! We will never know for sure. What is certain, is that we will never attempt to grace this establishment with our presence in the future. We are not tourists, we would have tipped well, and mostly they could have gained loyal customers. However, their treatment of us assured us becoming future or loyal patrons will NEVER happen. I haven't been to Tattooed Moose in awhile, I've known they opened this larger location but when I'm on this part of town I'm usually "doing something" ( Firefly Distillery etc.). Well today finally went and I had to say, I'm so happy for them to have so much room compared to their downtown location. Tattooed Moose still has it's super laid back vibe of, "Sure, write on the walls.. good one". My main memory of TM is their basket of Duck fat fries with a blue cheese fondue, roasted garlic heaven. And let me tell ya, if you haven't tried these.. why not? You'll thank me later! There's something so satisfying when you turn over the bulb of garlic and release their little pearls of roasted sweetness onto your already decadent French fries! This husband and wife tag team duo are nothing but geniuses! It's so difficult to re create that memory, so many times I go back somewhere to only be disappointed and come away feeling as if I only romanticized my previous experience! Stop by, thank me later... go relaxed and ready for a nap later (I had the Thanksgiving Sammie and again, not disappointed)! Read Less

I got the chicken salad sandwich which was alright. I got watermelon as a side and it was very tasty. I was disappointed because there were virtually no healthy options. You could get a salad but only with ranch. Basically no vegetable side options. They also have a vegetarian option where you can sub mushrooms for meat in any sandwiches, but they said they cook the mushrooms on the same grill as the meat so it isn't truly vegetarian. I'm not vegetarian but I thought that was stupid. Read Less

Yes-Yes-Yes-!! Ok here we go - so we arrived a little after 6:30 on Saturday (memorial weekend) we have had the T.M on our list. We live in NC and often come for the weekend.  The place was full, our wait was going to be 30+minutes.  So we sat in the rocking chairs and had a few drinks.  The table was ready in about 15 minutes.  We took our time with the menu - Moriah was our girl - she was a wealth of knowledge and so much fun!  We had two people with food allergy's and she took the time to talk with them to make sure every was right.  She even made to trips back to the kitchen.  So we settled on the duck confit Sammie, the lucky number 1, a few burgers, chili, street corn and baked beans.   All were awesome - I tried everything we order.  The beer selection was really good - we were impressed with the selection of sour beers.  I checked in on Yelp but forgot to redeem my offer! -- a High Five!  Maybe next time they will honor it, fingers crossed. Stop in for a craft beer and to listen to live music.  But If you're looking for  a good meal .... I say, "keep going."Their cobb salad was perhaps the worst I've had. Piled onto a too-small plate with romaine hanging off and a blob of shaved turkey on top, the salad was visually unappealing and tasted no better.  My daughter's hamburger was dried out -- someone said it's "award winning"??? -- and the much touted duck fat fries were nothing more than regular shoe string potatoes.  The accompanying garlic aioli gave 'em a little pizazz.   My husband, a fan of pork belly, enjoyed  Lucky #1 Sub -- but commented that the pork belly was not seared, as indicated on the menu.A firm believer in omens, we should have left when the waiter spilled a  glass of water, narrowly missing me. (I know, accidents happen -- but why he placed the glass between two uneven tables is just careless.)Maybe this is your kinda place --  it was indeed busy Saturday night --  but it sure isn't mine! When you want seafood, a burger, country cooking, but don't want to dress up you come here. When you want to bring a date, a few friends, or the whole crew for a meal you come here. When you want to play Cornhole, hear live music, and have your dog at your side you come here. Rolling up in here for lunch with our two furry family members, we sat outside. The inside looks like it will hold plenty plus the bar has outdoor seating (via stools). The main outdoor seating is picnic tables. Parking is a plenty so don't worry about that, but be aware that the outdoor space is within earshot of the main road. I am sure live music would drown it out though. The menu, drinks and food, leave you wishing you had a bigger appetite and more time. Everything sounds delicious. And don't underestimate the sizes. If you think you might need an additional side or appetizer, wait to order it. I have a feeling you will be changing your mind on that. I try not to go into detail with items that are seasonal, but I believe the duck fat fries are year round. At least I hope they are, for your sake. The name says it all. Duck fat, on fries. Mic drop. I wish I could give some insight on dessert, but at that point I was doing my own duck waddle to the car because I was so full. Such a friendly team and enjoyable time. Make a trip there soon! Tattooed Mooses' duck fat fries on the menu truly drew us in! It was a busy Friday night, with college students all around and live music being played. The parking lot was a bit of a mess, so finding parking was not the easiest. Seeing the duck fat fries made my friend and I really curious on how it would taste, so we ordered it! Our food came out shortly after we ordered and we were so surprised by the speed. Food was good and the duck fat fries were okay. I think we both had high expectations on the fries, so when we were faced with it, we didn't really find anything special. The fries were very skinny and short and reminded both of us Steak and Shake fries. To me, Tattooed Moose was nothing super special. Read Less

Throttle Down and Armored Up decided to take a motorcycle ride to the Tattooed Moose in John's Island and I must tell you...The Tattooed Moose did NOT disappoint. The Service was OUTSTANDINGThe Location was Amazing (we dined outside)The Service was ExpeditiousThe Taste and the quality of the food was TOP ChoiceUpon arrival we were awestruck with the location. The Big Oak Trees with the Spanish Moss, the Ample Parking and even designated parking for Bikers like Us!  It's a much bigger version of the quaint little Urban Tattooed Moose on Morrison Drive in Charleston. They layouts are very similar, the food was outstanding and the portions are huge. Our lovely waitresses were Ms. Claudia and Ms. Katelyn. Before we even sat down Ms. Claudia swooped us up and advised us that we had to order our meals at the cute little outside bar. Ms. Claudia provided us with our drinks as we ordered our food and we were all sitting down and enjoying our meal within 10 minutes. Quick, polite, efficient, and friendly. My two favorites! We ordered the Tattooed Moose Reuben sandwiches with a side of  Duck fat fries. Our sandwiches were made with toasted Rye Bread, 1 layer of American Cheese (gooey and stringy), 2 slices of slow cooked and juicy corned beef, sauerkraut,  and another slice of cheese then topped with another toasted slice of Rye bread with the buttered side up.  We also got a side of the delicious homemade Russian Dressing. The Duck fat fries were scrumptious! Nothing makes fries taste better than duck fat not only is it a healthier alternative but it's also bursting with duck meat flavor. Our experience was phenomenal and I'm looking forward to visiting Ms. Claudia and Ms. Katelyn again. Read Less

The Tattooed Moose on Johns Island is the second location of theirs here in Charleston. It is old style almost country woodsy feeling place with picnic tables outside and on occasion a band will be playing outside. Usually Bluegrass or folk music. The beer is cold with almost too many selections to be narrowed down to the one that you want. The food is quite good with my favorite being their signature burger with some thick bacon thrown on there. It is so juicy that it can run down your arm if you're not careful. Being a duck fanatic, my friend insisted I come here to try out the duck club when I was visiting her in Charleston. We started our meal off with the pimento cheese. Holy cow. It was spicy and delicious, and served with warm pita bread. Portion size was pretty large for just the two of us!  Definitely get this if you enjoy pimento cheese and don't mind a little bit of heat.We decided to split the duck club. I'm thankful we split it only because I was pretty close to being full from the pimento cheese dip. Holy duck. I can see why this sandwich is so hyped up. The bacon, the duck, the aioli...it was heaven in my mouth. It's probably a good thing I don't live in Charleston because I would be so fat because I'd be coming back for that sandwich like every week.We also had a side of the duck fat fries with garlic aioli. So good, particuarly with the aioli.I also liked that they offer such a nice variety of ciders here! I got to try a blood orange one, and my friend had a blueberry cider. Both good and refreshing!Great experience eating here at the Tattooed Moose! Will definitely be back if I find myself in Charleston again! Read Less

We were really excited to eat here because we'd heard great things, but the service was terrible- one poor waitress handling tables outside and inside... half of the table didn't even get to order drinks. We were checked on once in an hour and a half. The first beer I got was skunked and the second draft beer was warm. (The waitress told us that that particular lager was supposed to be served warm... really??? I'm sure Moosehead wouldn't appreciate that advertising.) My Cuban sandwich had so much potential, but it was luke-warm and the bread was burned and soggy. I guess that's actually an impressive feat! The chili had a great flavor (hence the one star) but was cold. Overall, abysmal. I'm really disappointed! :( Read Less

I hate to give a lower review but in all honesty, it wasn't that great of an experience. The hostess was polite and friendly and our waitress greeted us right away and took our beverage order. She came back a few moments later stating they were out of the beer my husband ordered and so he ordered a different one, which had her returning again a few minutes later to say they were out of that one as well. He ordered a third beer and that one was in stock. The ambiance was casual and would have been pleasant had we not been seated next to a family with three kids between the ages of maybe 3-8. They were crying, loud and running all over the place. Our appetizers arrived along with our dinner which was disappointing, as we are used to it arriving before a meal. Then, my knife was so dull it couldn't cut my the bread from my burger in half so I had to request one that could cut. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The best thing about this visit was the friendly waitresses. I am here on vacation and doubt I would return. There are too many places I could go and have a better experience. Read Less

"If the parking lot is any indication of what is to be inside -- we're not getting seated for a while", were my pre hostess thoughts. Luckily a group of eight were  just leaving as we entered -- four two tops were seperated and readied. Not five minutes later, the live music fires up, I'm directly infront of it, the lighting is rather low for 3:00 Saturday afternoon -- bad weather played a role. Point being -- I struggled a bit reading the menu and struggled a tad more hearing complete sentences.Grade of 'B+' to have such good live music playing so early.Moosehead was allegedly on tap, excited --we both ordered pints, but they came to us tasting off. We both knew it was not Moosehead, and tasted like a skunky Miller, significant disappointment there. Transitioning into Pabst Blue Ribbon 16's, the cans were frosted, but the beer was sort of coolish in temperature, that did not thrill us either. However these less modest beers are very inexpensive, so there is a little give and take there. Many craft beers are available that I shall try next go round.A grade of 'C-' for the beer thus far.If I hear that "I Must Order the Duck Fries" one more time, I'm gonna scream, it's all heard when Tatooed Moose is mentioned. The fries were on the soft side, very pliable, the garlic and cheese pour-on masked this a bit, not to me. A grade of 'C-' for the fries.I thought to keep the main course as free from complications for myself,  the menu had some very interesting looming items, most of all that I intend on eating, I went 'ole reliable' -- house burger it is. (Tatooed Moose Burger) with a runny egg on top. Don't knock it till you try it.Once it arrived, grabbing for the phone to photo, didn't cross my mind and once I had the double patties (standard) hoisted high, I went in. Conversation is still rattling, the band is still jamming, people are enjoying -- I was in my own little world eating this wonderfully prepared hamburger.A grade of 'B+' for the house burger. The service deserves so much more than a simple one liner, yet it encapsulates the entire experience as I found it to be.All who pitched in at our table, perhaps five in total, checking in, clearing, smiling all the way -- You all stole the show. Better service -- I do not believe we could have had. Read Less

There is a theme amongst the reviews of the Tattooed Moose, for good reason. The duck fat fries are really that good. Seriously- just get them. Don't share (well maybe share, the portion is large). They have a happy hour special on these magical fries-- $2.75 for a massive order of some of the tastiest little potatoes in the land. The other food here is also fantastic. Sampled some of the Thanksgiving Sammie, which is basically the thanksgiving leftovers sandwich of your dreams. Yum. You really can't go wrong! Just found out that they have brunch on Saturday and Sunday, and you best believe we will be trying that out soon! The Johns Island location has a really low key atmosphere, in the best way. Inside has a bunch of tables and huge bar seating, as well as a stage for indoor music. The bar opens outside as well, with even more seating on the big patio with picnic tables galore. Outside stage for live music in good weather, with plenty of room for you to bring your own chairs and enjoy your surroundings. Family friendly, doggo friendly, good for groups- especially if the weather is good! The biggest downfall here? The parking lot. It's always busy here, and the parking situation gets weird really quickly. Be prepared to battle for a spot on the weekends (ride share or take a small car if possible). There's no where else to go, so you tend to circle until someone leaves. Read Less

This place has always been a favorite of mine. And I have to admit, I never even went to the original downtown before I cheated on them with this bigger and better version. Happy hours on the outdoor bar and patio are great, especially when it's on a weekend and there's a band playing under the oaks. I respect all their sandwiches, but their happy hour menu is what has my heart - absolutely classic hot wings, generous fries and garlic aioli, and cheap PBR (when is it not cheap, I guess?). They'd added a few new things on my most recent trip (piggy nachos, pictured). Fresh pork rinds, still popping from the grease, and a bowl of pretty nondescript chili with more nondescript meat. Honestly not sure about anything that I ate, but anyway. Great place for a weekend afternoon, some good food, and an outside seat. Read Less

I've always enjoyed the food at the Tattooed Moose downtown Charleston, but hated the headache of finding a parking spot and trying to get a table. Thanks goodness for the Tattooed Moose on Johns Island where they have a huge parking lot and dining room, making life for their patrons much easier to find a parking spot and get a table. We happened to be in Johns Island one evening when a downpour hit us from a strong approaching storm; we couldn't see where we were driving and we were hungry, and then out of nowhere there was the Tattooed Moose! It was such a pleasant sight to behold on a dreary night as this was. We made our way into the parking lot, parked, and entered the restaurant to happily find that there were plenty of seating available with no wait. We quickly found a table and our lovely server greeted us and made sure to waste no time getting us our drinks; she could tell we needed them from our dripping clothes and screaming toddler. For dinner we split the duck fat blue cheese fries with roasted garlic for a starter; an amazing combination of fries cooked in duck fat, topped with a blue cheese sauce, and served up with a whole roasted bulb of garlic. Then for dinner the Thanksgiving sandwich and the Mexican street corn. The sandwich was ok, but the street corn was amazing. Between 2 adults and a toddler we were stuffed and had plenty of leftovers. For us overall the fries were the star of the show. Read Less

We spent Saturday running around Johns Island, hunting through nurseries for plants we want for our new home. Ran into this place and decided to give it a try.A very fun kind of vibe. Writing, by customers, all over the walls, kid/family friendly, and an indoor/outdoor type of low key place. After being seated a waitress came by to tell us about the beers on tap and the drink specials with brunch - (yes, they run their brunch on Saturdays as well). She described the Bloody Mary,  topped with a skewer of chicken leg, candied pork belly, pickled okra and a green olive. Sold. Appetizer and  cocktail all in one for the decent price of $10. I have to say, the leg and the belly were really good sized, and pretty darn tasty, and the Bloody Mary was also pretty delicious. We both ordered a burger, his with a bun, mine without. Fries do not come with it, but I'd heard the duck fat fries were great - not an exaggeration! But, the burger did not hold up. Not a particularly tasty piece of beef. We'd definitely go back to this place, lots of other things on the menu to try and such a nice, friendly spot. Read Less

The Tattooed Moose is a quirky restaurant in Johns Island, SC with a lot of character and some really great food. After spending a long weekend in Folly Beach, we decided to come check out this place based on a recommendation by some friends. We came on a Sunday right as they opened and they were not busy at all. The first thing that stands out about this place are all of the odds and ends on the wall in the restaurant. There is a big Moose head above the bar (no surprise there), other taxidermied animals on multiple walls, and writing on all of the walls from all of the patrons who have visited. The ambience is almost like a Road House style bar meets a rustic hunting cabin. I will also note that the soundtrack played while we were here was on point. If I had to guess maybe "The Band station on Pandora." I had heard so much about the $14 Famous Duck Club so I had to dish out the dollars and give it a try. We also decided to try out the Duck Fat fries, and we are very glad that we did. The Famous Duck Club is huge, and especially with the side of Duck Fat Fries, I needed a box for the second half of the sandwich. The sandwich was worth the hype, even though the $14 is a little excessive. The sweetness of the bread balanced out the saltiness of the duck and bacon and the melted cheddar cheese topped it all off. The Duck Fat Fries were made even better by the Garlic Aioli that accompanied them. The service here left something to be desired, but I can't say that it was bad. They had a nice selection of beers as well. I would definitely go back to the Tattooed Moose mostly for the eclectic atmosphere and the Duck Fat Fries. If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary in the Low Country, I would give Tattooed Moose a shot. Read Less

The Tattooed Moose in Johns Island is a unique Lowcountry experience! Located in the heart of Johns Island, this restaurant has the personality and feel of a local born in bread in the back woods of South Kakalaki . As you pull in off of Main Road you are surrounded by beautiful live oaks and a rustic atmosphere with decent parking. I brought my family for brunch on a Saturday around 1130 and there were a few spots available and people were sitting outside eating at that point. As you walk in you're greeted by what feels like an old rustic lodge in the mountains. Taxidermy everywhere! My boys loved it! Moose, Wolf, wild boar and elk staring at you from every corner, some with Christmas lights on them . It's definitely a look! Big bar to the right as you walk in and plenty of tables to accommodate a decent crowd. We were seated quickly and got there before the rush at around Noon. By that point it was packed so that's always a good sign! The wife and I ordered two bloody Mary's which were strong and above average in my opinion! I then switched to a Devils Back IPA which was perfect for the Tattooed Moose Burger and duck fat fries that I ordered! My wife decided to get brunch and ordered juevos rancheros which was mediocre unfortunately. For the kids we ordered grilled cheese and fries for my oldest and mac n cheese with fruit for the little one. Both were pretty good. We had a bug crawl up through our table crease so that put a little damper on the feel. Also they need to clean up the graffiti all over the place and maybe start fresh. Theres pretty vulgar stuff written all over the bathrooms . Also, service was mediocre and the food was a little pricey. Overall I was probably the happiest out of my family with the burger and beer I ordered. Probably won't be back with my family but would definitely stop I'm with the boys for some beers and apps! Overall 3 out of 5 this time. Read Less

Everything was great! We started with the pickles and they were fantastic! They also came with pickled green tomatoes and those were super. We ordered the duck club and the thanksgiving sammy. Both sandwiches were good...my only complaint would be the thanksgiving sandwich has shredded turkey which falls out everywhere. But it's totally fine, I ate it with a fork. We got the blue cheese duck fat fries - get the blue cheese on the side and you'll get a soup cup filled to the top with it. You'll never be able to eat it all but it's delicious and you can dunk fries into it.Service was good, I would have appreciated the waitresses waiting until closing to pick up the mats and shake them all over the floor, not two feet from where we were sitting. We saw our waitress a few times but she could have stopped by once more and refilled waters. Otherwise, it was delicious and we'll be back. Read Less

This place has a completely different vibe than the Charleston location, which I totally love. It's more woodsy, with ample space to sit outside. Part of the outdoor seating is covered, with the option of uncovered picnic tables. The building could be described as "divey", but it's clean with plenty of seating inside and out. I love that you can also sit outside at the bar. Another plus is there is plenty of parking! Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. We ordered some beers while we waited for our duck club. This place came recommended to us by the chef of a restaurant we ate at in Hilton Head Island. The way he talked about the menu made it seem like a cool hipster-y dive-y type place, which I guess it is if you sit inside. We were seated outside which is very "backyard" with picnic tables, trees, and woodchip ground. It would definitely be cute, but it was super crowded back there with a huge party of a kids baseball team, so for me, it kind of ruined the whole mood. The kids were all over the place, the parents weren't watching them, which isn't a fault of the restaurant, but it just didn't make me feel relaxed to enjoy a meal. The menu was pretty "meh" in my opinion. They had staple sandwiches, some small sides and a brunch menu on the back. Their online menu said they could take any sandwich (except for the Cuban) and make it vegetarian by adding a portobello mushroom on it. So I got their Gyro and did the mushroom instead of the gyro meat. It wasn't terrible, but it was incredibly soggy. The mushroom was overly oily and dressed so it just kind of mushed everything else. I ordered a side of their three bean salad, which was good, but not anything I'd get super excited over or come back to eat.I don't think I'd return to this place. Maybe this location is worse than the one IN Charleston, but given the mediocre food and the sort of high price of mediocre food, I won't be back. Read Less

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday after a trip out to the tea plantation. This location is conveniently located off Maybank Hwy and has a large parking lot which makes getting in and out of the restaurant a little easier than the downtown location. However, its a gravel parking lot and the restaurant's outdoor dining patio sits just a few feet away from the lot. Unfortunately (and maybe it was just a dry day) when the cars drive into the parking lot it kicks up a lot of dust that then blows onto the patio. We were 2 tables away from the parking lot and several times when cars raced in we held our hands over our drinks until the dust settled. I couldn't imagine having sat much closer to the edge without getting a mouthful of dust every time a car came in/out which was pretty frequently considering how busy they were. The inside had a lot of open tables when we got there, but there was a band set up on a stage outside underneath large oak trees and we really wanted to sit on the patio so we waited until a table cleared. There were a couple fun arcade-type games to play while we waited and realistically the wait wasn't long at all for how many people were sticking around their tables after eating to just enjoy the band and some beers. Our waitress left a little to be desired, appearing to be attentive but being a little forgetful (several things we asked for we ended up getting up and grabbing from the bar ourselves after she appeared to have totally disregarded our requests like a glass for the canned beer, hot sauce, a to go box..) Overall the service wasn't bad, I think she may have just been overwhelmed with the number of tables she had and she just wasn't the best at remembering who had asked for what?  I felt like the food at this JI location was on par with the food I have had downtown and everything we ate was very tasty. The Reuben sandwich was so big! My friend ate half of it and was stuffed. The burgers were good and the duck fat fries were delicious as always. Read Less

Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives is a good starting point for food on the road.  We found the Tatooed Moose on our way to Charleston after seeing the other location on Food Network.  The atmosphere for lunch was fun and service was friendly.  We split a duck club, gyro, and a basket of fries.  It was a lot of food for us though it was all very good.  My favorite was the gyro which had great texture and some different spices to it.  The duck club was different and tasty.  I am not a fan of duck, normally, but this was done very well.  The cheddar and bacon balanced out the duck and made for a good sandwich.  Our highlight was the fries.  We could not stop eating them and the dipping sauce!  What a great lunch. The parking is so much better at this location; however, I prefer the food at the downtown location. Service was good and quick, but the food was not as well prepared as I would have liked. My boyfriend and I split the Thanksgiving Sammie and Duck Club. Thanksgiving Sammie was spot on and consistent to the downtown location. It was meaty and had lots of flavor, but the Duck Club fell short. There wasn't much duck in it as I've normally had it, which was disappointing. The fries were not crispy, but rather oily and a bit on the soggy side. I like that this location is quite spacious, but the music was way too loud. It made it extremely difficult to carry on a conversation. I was looking forward to leaving. Read Less

I've been to the downtown location a few times, but this was my first time on John's Island. The building has a cool, relaxed vibe, and I liked the open air garage door set up. Not sure how it will be with mosquitoes, but a good concept.  Definitely a good spot on John's Island. I don't have anything against Tattooed Moose, but it's just doesn't do it for me like so many other places in Charleston. It's not bad, it's just not great, IMHO.I've gotten the duck club twice. Once downtown, once at this location. I am not a picky eater and I like food in general, but both times I have just had a "meh" experience. It's a good sandwich, but not $14 good. This particular time, the bread was very soggy and the sandwich fell apart. I ended up just picking through it. There were also little to no garlic aioli. Sad times because that stuff is good. My bf was into his hamburger (he added cheddar and bacon), so maybe I'll order that next time. The service left much to be desired, but that was because they were understaffed. Our sandwich and burger were more on the cold side and it appeared that they had been sitting while waiting for our fries which came out piping hot. The cheese on my sandwich had already started to harden from the melty goodness it's supposed to be. That's what sitting under a heat lamp will do. Must orders - fries w/ garlic aioli (make sure you ask for extra because we got a shamefully small amount and didn't see our waitress again until she brought the check). Read Less

So. Many. Bad.

Read Less

Amazing, Outstanding, Wonderful, and Unique! My new favorite restaurant.

Read Less

Please sign your name Richard slogan or whatever you want wherever you want and see if you can come back and find it next time around.I believe the highest priced item on the menu was a $15 signature duck sandwich, all the other sandwiches were normal price between six and $10.  I had the Cuban while my mother had the Thanksgiving Sammy, and both were amazing. This place is not trying to sell you on fancy gimmicks or their looks, it's their food that brings the people back time and time again.Sandwiches do not come with fries but we ordered a basket to share between us the garlic aoli is OK if that's your thing I preferred the gravy that came with my mother sandwich.Their draft list is excellent they got something for everyone in our definitely stocked up on your local breweries. She just never gave any indication that she cared to help us. Our food took a long time to come out, but the waiter who brought us our food was apologetic about the wait time. I ordered the chili because I wasn't that hungry and wanted something lighter...mistake! The bacon in the chili was VERY fatty. I couldn't even eat most of it. The highlight of the meal was the duck fat fries with garlic aioli. WOW those were good. My friend liked his duck club a lot. I think I would try this place again since I liked the location and duck fat fries. Those fries alone are worth the trip!

Read Less

The menu had a good variety of food so it took a bit to pick out our choices. We opted for chili and and stew as sides to our sandwiches. Everything was delicious and served quickly. The pickles and green tomatoes on the side were wonderful! A band was setting up to play live music but we left before we got to hear them.

Read Less

The service is always weird and everyone I encounter, from the hostess, bartender and waitress, seemed like they were miserable. The food is a little pricey for what you get, but the flavor is good. I usually only go here when a friend is hosting an event. Wouldn't really go out of my way for a normal day. Read Less

I couldn't gasp the description of what I was about to taste but it was amazing ! It has a pallet I never tasted anywhere else. The fries were to die for and the blue cheese / garlic aoli smothered fries made me want to close out the world and eat them all day . This right here is feel good food. Read Less

I have always been a fan of the tattooed moose so when location opened up on Johns Island I knew I had to try it!  We got there on a Saturday afternoon and parking is 100 times easier at this location with their large parking lot (bonus points)We sat outside on their Pateo which was lovely.  They had a band playing who where great and everyone enjoyed listening to them while we ate.I ordered a thanksgiving Sammy which I split with my sister.  It was delicious as always.  The perfect combination of all things thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy.  I am in love with this sandwich! The new location is great because it has a large parking lot great yard for a band and shorter wait time.  However it's lacking a little of the intimate charm the other location has.  Sure it's got the same graffiti and taxidermy on the wall but somehow it's just not the same... Read Less
