I went here for a daith piercing, I explained that I suffer from migraines. The girl was very honest, piercing is not a medical treatment. Its mostly a placebo effect. If you don't love the look of a piercing don't do it. Her honesty was refreshing, she could of taken my money did piercing and went about her day. But she didn't! I came here to purchase a gold hoop for my conch piercing because the stud had fallen out last night while I was sleeping. This is a year and a half old piercing, completely healed, I just needed a new piece of jewelry to put in. I tried to show the gentleman at the register that I was missing the back part of the original piercing and he immediately yelled about no touching of piercings and forced a bottle of hand sanitizer in my face. Okay... I understand why there's that rule, for people who have healing or infected piercings or piercings that are in precarious areas but the scolding and rude welcoming were not necessary. I then waited 20 minutes for the only piercer to come out just to be told they had no gold/gold plated hoops and it would take 2-3 months to order one. Would have been nice to be told that 20 minutes prior also, there is no reason it should take that long to order a standard 16g hoop, but okay. The girl then tried to push me to purchase a very large silver hoop and said I would need my ear stretched to which I told her I didn't think that was necessary. With the piercing just falling out less than 24 hours ago and it being healed for a year and a half I highly doubt it would need to be stretched to fit the right size gauge. I felt like she was just trying to force additional services on me when my original request was quite simple. I told her I didn't want to wait 3 months so I would most likely just order one myself and headed towards the door. She then started talking about buying from a reputable source and to watch out where I buy yada yada yada... I'm not an idiot and have had many piercings so this lecture was unnecessary and made it look like she just wanted to act rude. I continued walking towards the door because I had already stated being uninterested to which I was then yelled at by this screeching woman "I'M TALKING TO YOU!!". I don't recommend this place unless you want to be overcharged and treated like a petulant child by some know-it-all's. Very happy to say that I drove 15 minutes to North Charleston and Exotic Impressions took care of me and had an enormous selection of jewelry. Went in today to replace my septum jewelry as I lost the ball on mine. We're on vacation, so I just googled a parlor to get the right jewelry and picked the closest one. I am happy that it was MOLA. I recently stopped by here with a friend to get her ears re-pierced. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The store was extremely clean and professional as were the employees and the process. They sell high-end earrings (that's what we were looking at) so my friend did have to shell out some bucks. However, you get what you pay for and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. Even better, they charged my friend less than full price piercing as they were able to re-open her closed holes. Okay, so I got my septum done here before and recently got my tongue pierced here as well. I personally love this place! However, it is a bit pricey compared to other piercing studios(Especially being a college student). Just warning to those who want a piercing be prepared to spend more than $50. That out of the way, I chose this place before and now because they are friendly, sanitary, informative(as in they walk you through the entire process! A big plus) and offer extremely high quality jewelry and custom work. I recently had my septum pierced here. This is a professional and clean shop with knowledgeable and friendly staff. They did not have the jewelry I was looking for in my size so they custom ordered a 12 gauge ring while my initial piercing healed. Went here with a friend to get her daith pierced.  There were no prices anywhere and friend ended up paying $100 for a daith piercing with a special earring.  During the time that the piercer was discussing the earring with my friend, there was no mention of the price.  It was as if we were expected to know that everything was going to be at a premium.  Despite the price, my friend still went through with it.The piercer refused to do her daith if she wanted it for the purpose of eliminating migraines.  The ladies at the shop didn't seem overly friendly to either of us, which didn't help the price situation.Edit for clarification (12/1/16): The price was disclosed before the piercing was done, but after the jewelry had already been picked out and we were at the register to pay.  There were no signs on any of the jewelry to indicate price inside the cases to know the price ranges of items you were looking at. Mmmmm???? I'm trying to figure out if everyone is talking about the spot in West Ashley? However, I got a eyebrow piercing back in April, and a guy did it. Whom, ever this Laura everyone is talking about I really wish she had done my piercing. That guy he was dry really unfriendly and just a fast talker. The experience was alright he was very knowledgeable and he gave me all of the proper after care I needed. BUT $65 for an eyebrow piercing, Damn!!!! and there was an upcharge of $10 to color my barbell pink? So I made the payment there wasn't a smile nor did he say thank you. So couple of days ago I went there to have my barbell replace and a tutorial on changing it out. He charged me $5 didn't give me the tutorial and was dry and unfriendly yet again so. I drove from Columbia and got my tongue web/lingual frenulum pierced by Richie. He did an amazing job. The studio was super clean and comfortable. I had the pleasure of visiting about 8 wks ago specifically to visit their guest piercer, Rob Gold, on the recommendation of a friend (who also got pierced that day by Rob). Both he and Barkley were very knowledgeable and helpful in my jewelry choices, placement, etc. Everything was clean, and Rob took great care to make sure I knew of each step in the process and why he was setting things up, etc, the way he was. I'd let him pierce almost anything—you quickly get the vibe of his character and love for his craft, not just in how he handled the actual procedure (set up, how he handles the customer, etc) but in the aftercare and stupid questions from someone a time zone away (lol) and even in his fb posts about the industry he works in. AMAZING!!!!I just got my navel pierced by Laura. She is great and it looks amazing!!!! I was very nervous because of the unknown pain but she eased my nerves by simply stating the truth. It's different for everyone but tolerable which is proven by the many people with them. The shop itself was very clean and she sterilized everything as she explained the process. We had an absolutely amazing experience this weekend with Ben and Barkley. I made the mistake of getting my 14 year old daughter's ears pierced at the pediatricians office. (HUGE mistake, I know) She had an allergic reaction within days. We really, really wanted to make this work, so we visited Barkley and she helped us figure out what was the best choice for my daughter. It did involve a trip to the Spring St. store, but that made our experience even better bc we got to... meet Ben, who went above and beyond to help us get things on the right track. Even though taking your child who is under the age of 16 is a bit involved, I cannot recommend it enough.
