I went with my husband to get a tattoo for the first time ever to the PAINTED PONY on DEC. 21 , 2018. my husband works 12 hour days and is only off 1 week a month. i have to get every appointment set up in that 1 week period and that includes doctors appointments also. my husbands job requires that he does not wear any jewelry so the tattoo was a band on the ring finger and the date that we were married. great , except he needed a second visit because it faded really bad within a month. to be fair Keith did tell him that and he would have to return for a touch-up. I called the shop to make an appointment . however the lady that answered the phone when I called on FEB.18th to make an appointment for for FEB.22 ND she said KIETH was doing a large tattoo and could not do the touch-up.I asked for FEB.25. no he was doing something else but that was after she said yes at 11.oo. . SO i asked when my husband could come in because he was working and have days off this week ,so she made a date for FEB.28 at 11.00 this is when I really get angry. we went to the shop this morning and we went early to make sure we were not late. 11,00 came . no one was there.11.15. no one, 11,30 no one. 10 minutes before 12.00 someone shows up. it was raining so my husband went in first while I was getting an umbrella. when I walked in I was greeted with YOU MISSED YOUR APPOINTMENT. he argued with me that we were supposed to have been there LAST THURSDAY. when I told him that my husband was working 12 hours last thursday and that there was NO WAY THAT I WOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WHEN I KNEW THAT HE WOULD NOT AND COULD NOT COME. I told him the complete conversation that I had with the lady on the phone he said that that was not the way it went and that he was not going to do the touch up for my husband and that he could charge for the missed appointment. I said that that was BULL CRAP and that i know when I made the appointment there was NO WAY THAT I WOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS WORKING AND COULD NOT COME. KIETH is the RUDEST MAN. I WALKED OUT AND WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN HIS SHOP AGAIN. IF MY HUSBAND EVER GETS A TOUCH -UP HE WILL GO ALONE. I know what the person that answered the phone did. She looked at the calendar and instead of marking THURSDAY FEB,28, SHE WROTE ON THURSDAY FEB.21. THE THURSDAY JUST ABOVE THE CORRECT DAY. But will they ever admit their mistake , NO. I HOPE NO ONE EVER GOES TO PAINTED PONY IN ANDERSON IF THIS IS THE WAY THEY WILL BE TREATED. WE WERE ALREADY PLANNING FOR MY HUSBAND TO GET A LARGE TATTOO FOR HIS 65TH, BIRTHDAY IN JUNE. I CAN PROMISE YOU IT WILL NOT BE AT PAINTED PONY.

I did not like the way the woman pierced me. Naval or Nose! My body was on the verge of rejecting both piercings. But I kept them clean with sea salt on a daily basis. If I had not done so then I would have had an infection. I don't recommend this place for piercings to anybody! Now, as far as tattooing goes there, I don't know how they do.

I was really not sure where I should go to get my second tattoo but ultimately decided on Painted Pony. I went in and was promptly greeted by two friendly guys. I had a picture of what I wanted and they made a stencil immediately. Within 5 minutes I was being prepped for the tattoo. I made sure to pay attention and make sure everything came out of sealed packages and it did. The price was about what I was expecting. I'm only slightly unhappy with my tattoo. There's two reasons why I didn't give five stars; I felt that toward the end the artist didn't get the color as saturated as he did in the beginning. He assured me he had but once it was healed, I was right, it needs to be touched up. The second reason is I felt the shop could have used a good sweeping and mopping. Not that it was dirty, but more dusty than anything. I've not decided whether I will go back for my third tattoo. I think I'll have the touch up done and make my choice from there.

Nice shop, great artist but my only complaint is a few weeks ago my wife and I went there for her first tattoo. While we were waiting, the guy behind the counter rudely told her she needed to get over there and do paperwork. That irritated me a little bit but I let it go. Then she ask if they took debit cards and he pointed at the atm and said over there. I don't speak to my wife that way and neither is someone else. This is a great place to get tattoo but not for service. Go see Keith, but everyone there is awesome.

I love this place, I have been to three other places and Painted Pony beats them all by far. I will warn you though it can be very addictive. I have gotten 4 of my six tattoos there by two different artist over the past 4 years. My favorite artist is Big John he has over 20 years of experience, Everyone there is nice and helpful and I would never consider going any place else. The price is affordable and the work far and exceeds your expectations. They have even stayed late for me to get it done. They have always gone above and beyond. I give them two thumbs up!

I had my tattoo done by a guy named Mac who is no longer there because he moved but I had the best experience there for my first tattoo. My tattoo is exactly where I wanted it and was fairly priced at $250 for its size, which is NOT small at all (about the size of an 8x10 picture) and ALL color. They definitely have innovative artists who know what they are doing. The atmosphere is great also. The staff is a whoot and treat you like family. Overall I will definitely be going back for another tattoo when I have some extra money.

I've. Had tattoos done else where and the pony is the best by far! Karen is doing a back piece that is loaded with color and I've never had any problems with it, jimbo and trent also do awesome work they have both worked on friends of mine. The shop is super clean and nice, the people that work there will always show you the same respect you show them. Love the pony!

I did not like the way the woman pierced me. Naval or Nose! My body was on the verge of rejecting both piercings. But I kept them clean with sea salt on a daily basis. If I had not done so then I would have had an infection. I don't recommend this place for piercings to anybody! Now, as far as tattooing goes there, I don't know how they do.

First of all, this has never occurred, I do believe this is someone's (perhaps another artist, or artist wife's) attempt to attack my clientele or over all business. I was really not sure where I should go to get my second tattoo but ultimately decided on Painted Pony. I went in and was promptly greeted by two friendly guys. I had a picture of what I wanted and they made a stencil immediately. Within 5 minutes I was being prepped for the tattoo. I made sure to pay attention and make sure everything came out of sealed packages and it did. The price was about what I was expecting. I'm only slightly unhappy with my tattoo. There's two reasons why I didn't give five stars; I felt that toward the end the artist didn't get the color as saturated as he did in the beginning. He assured me he had but once it was healed, I was right, it needs to be touched up. The second reason is I felt the shop could have used a good sweeping and mopping. Not that it was dirty, but more dusty than anything. I've not decided whether I will go back for my third tattoo. I think I'll have the touch up done and make my choice from there.

Nice shop, great artist but my only complaint is a few weeks ago my wife and I went there for her first tattoo. While we were waiting, the guy behind the counter rudely told her she needed to get over there and do paperwork. That irritated me a little bit but I let it go. Then she ask if they took debit cards and he pointed at the atm and said over there. I don't speak to my wife that way and neither is someone else. This is a great place to get tattoo but not for service. Go see Keith, but everyone there is awesome.

I was told by a tattoo parlor in Greenville SC they wouldn't be able to cover some cutting scars with a tattoo. I looked around in Anderson SC and saw that Painted Pony had some great reviews. Went there yesterday and got the scars covered up at a great price. You can't even tell they were there!

I love this place, I have been to three other places and Painted Pony beats them all by far. I will warn you though it can be very addictive. I have gotten 4 of my six tattoos there by two different artist over the past 4 years. My favorite artist is Big John he has over 20 years of experience, Everyone there is nice and helpful and I would never consider going any place else. The price is affordable and the work far and exceeds your expectations. They have even stayed late for me to get it done. They have always gone above and beyond. I give them two thumbs up!

I had my tattoo done by a guy named Mac who is no longer there because he moved but I had the best experience there for my first tattoo. My tattoo is exactly where I wanted it and was fairly priced at $250 for its size, which is NOT small at all (about the size of an 8x10 picture) and ALL color. They definitely have innovative artists who know what they are doing. The atmosphere is great also. The staff is a whoot and treat you like family. Overall I will definitely be going back for another tattoo when I have some extra money.

I've. Had tattoos done else where and the pony is the best by far! Karen is doing a back piece that is loaded with color and I've never had any problems with it, jimbo and trent also do awesome work they have both worked on friends of mine. The shop is super clean and nice, the people that work there will always show you the same respect you show them. Love the pony!
