I used to go to Painted Pony in Anderson to get all of my piercings. So, Thursday I went to get my tongue pierced. The lady that normally does my piercings wasn't there, and it was this man instead (he didn't give me his name.) I told him what I wanted done, I signed papers and went to sit down in the chair ready to get pierced. However, while i was signing papers this lady walked in to get her nipples pierced and he declined her because she was a woman. When she left he said... "I don't want to open a door to a lawsuit" just because she was a woman. He even looked at my boyfriend and said, "I'll pierce yours, but not hers." I didn't understand that, and I should have left right then. Anyway, he got clamps on my tongue and moved my tongue around to see if I had any veins. Then, he put those clamps down and got new clamps. He said those clamps were the wrong ones. The process goes on, and he pierced my tongue. (This awfully painful on me, because he kept struggling to slide the needle in.) After he got finshed screwing the balls on he told me he gave me the shortest bar he could. (I'm aware it needs to be a large bar because of the swelling. I didn't say anything about it, I was just ready to leave, but now I wish I would have spoke up.) I woke up Sunday morning to my tongue being so swollen that both balls at the end of the bar has sucken into my tongue and to an infection. The bottom of my tongue was leaking green puss. The ball underneath my tongue was so far pushed in that it looked like a flat bottom, similar to a flat bottom on a lip piercing jewelry. ***((((((I WILL POST PICTURES IN THE COMMENTS))))))*** On Mother's Day, I couldn't spend time with my mother or go to church with her, I had to spend 5 hours trying to find a piercing shop that was open as far as I could drive to get it removed to avoid paying hospital bills. At 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. I called Painted Pony and nobody answered my call or called me back. I even drove up there, the sign said open 1 to 6, and no one answered. Artistic Ink was the only place to answer, and they will have my business from now on. Seriously? No one in the whole world wants to go through something like I had to go through. $30 for the piercing, $10 for mouth wash, and $20 to get it removed. 3 days of nothing but excruciating pain for nothing. Money down the drain and pain for nothing on a wasted cause because I got too short of a bar. Why me? I never wanted to be this person to complain about something like this, but I feel like I need to be heard. Like I said, no one wants to go through something like that. See More Read Less
