Emma has the patience of a saint and some pretty amazing tattoo/artistry skills. My friends and I set a late appointment that we knew would probably put them past the time they were scheduled to be open. We had scheduled 4 tattoos. My friends arrived first and apparently were in stank moods. Although Emma was amazing with them, they decided to postpone the tatt because they wanted something more in-depth than a walk-in tattoo should usually take (and their 'tudes). Mine however was perfect. I wanted a unalome that represented starting in RI and she nailed it. We had a few tweaks from the original design and then we got started.  My husband got 2 names on his wrist that also came out amazing. I was referred here by a friend who previously had an apprenticeship at Richmond St Tattoo. I called around 4:00 and asked if three of us could come in at 7:30 for small flower tattoos. Emma scheduled us right in.When we got there, Emma worked with each one of us to design the idea we had. (Mine was the most complicated and Emma patiently worked with me as I wanted to tweak this and that)Emma was again super patient with me as I was baby about the pain. As a person who's dealt with quite a few tattoo shops and artists,  I'm happy to say I've finally found a shop and an artist I'm extremely pleased with!The artist I had work on me was Rob. He consulted with me prior to the tattoo appointment itself where I have him a rough idea of what I wanted. A few days later he sent me a sketch. It was gorgeous!!!! Exactly what I asked for and then some! I made my appointment with him for a Tuesday.  Well I got called into work that Tuesday and had to reschedule.. Needless to say, Rob had no problem accommodating me and rescheduling my appointment for the following day. I know most shops would charge for this since the tattoo I was getting would take up a large block of his time considering how big it was but Rob didn't charge me a penny more than the price we discussed.Going to the shop was a pleasant experience. Everyone who works there is really warm and welcoming!! As big as the shop is, it's very cozy and has a very comfortable vibe to it.As for my tattoo!!?!?!?! AMAZING WORK!! It took rob about 5/6 hours (it takes up a large part of my thigh) and in that time I got everything done. From line work to all the color and everything! It was a painful spot but Rob was gentle and at the same time meticulous about the details. Honestly I was astonished and I still am! This is the best piece I have on my body so far. (And I have A LOT of tattoos) I highly recommend this shop and especially this artist to everyone I talk to about tattoos. As long as he's there doing tattoos, I won't go anywhere else. Also I'm going to have him fix other artist's f*ck ups.This shop gets a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 in my book on everything from cleanliness to professionalism. when ever I go to Richmond st tattoo I always leave happier then how I went in. everyone there is fun and a good time. they do amazing work all their artist. I have had rob do my tattoos and he is great if u just look at his work and his awards he doesn't need to act like he is the best. it is a great place to go and  you will always leave with a smile. they are with out a doubt the best shop in ri with the most talented artist....... also fallon l. if u actually knew anything about tattoos or tattooing (which you are acting like your an artist ur self that's why u cant draw up your own piece to have done) you would know that those "cheap plastic machines" are then newest ones to hit the tattooing scene and they are actually the best machines u can buy, so good try maybe spend some time learning about tattooing before saying shit you obviously have no idea what you are talking about Read Less
