horrible. absolutely horrible service i received. my now boyfriend does tattoos and he can't even believe what is permanently scarred into my body. the art work looks fine but the man that did it was extremely heavy handed. here i am four months later with basically a welt on my arm. you know what they told me ? "sometimes your body just heals that way... it's all about your skin." oh please.. i have 4 other decent sized tattoos and not one healed that way. Read Less

Came to sin alley today to get a nose piercing. Was supposed to meet a friend, but she couldn't make it, so I went at it alone. When I first walked in, a staff member approached me, asked what I was looking for, and told me to fill out the necessary paperwork. Ok. Done. As I continued to wait for my friend (who later texted me that she couldn't make it), another staff member (presumably the owner/manager??) was sitting at the desk, watching YouTube videos. I tried to strike up conversation, asking him about proper cleaning procedures, etc. He was welcoming to MY conversation, but then the phone rang and he said "geez, can't I just watch my video!?" Made me feel like I also had been "inconveniencing" him. That said, he was helpful and informative. Once I realized my friend wasn't coming, I said to the guy watching videos, "well, she's obviously not coming, so I guess I should just go ahead and do this." He literally sat there watching his video and didn't even respond. At this point, I was waiting for the first guy who greeted me....he finally came out again (he was in the middle of tattooing another customer). He promptly led me into the piercing room, gave me options, made me feel comfortable and proceeded to pierce me. I've had other piercings before, and I'll admit that he MAYBE should've taken a few extra seconds to sanitize and fully clean my nose, but he did a great job. He was accommodating and understanding. And here I am, a mere 12 hours later, and I am experiencing literally 0 pain. Even when I (accidentally) touch it. He followed up with proper care and cleaning guidelines, and I was on my way. He was FANTASTIC. I wish I knew his name. The owner/manager (so I presume he was) could take a lesson from his employee. I'll certainly be back though. Great experience. Read Less

i am very disappointed with the service we had. I took my daughter here 4 days ago to get a daith piercing and the lady was kind of harsh but whatever. when she put the earring in my daughters ear apparently she pulled a little (I think anyperson would pull a little as it hurts) and the earring must have ripped my daughters ear. Fast forward a couple days and the ear is hurting a real lot..we have been cleaning it 5 times a day. last night my daughter woke up at 230am in a ton of pain-along with a 5 month migraine- and we had to go get the earring taken out today. I think it is infected bc my daughters face is swollen down to her jaw and she cant chew.. the lady ofcourse didn't want to admit that she made a mistake and said: oh it looks like it tore and maybe she did it in her sleep. that's a total lie as my daughter does not sleep on that side and has been extremely careful the last couple of days. the lady was not only rude and blamed it on us but I would think she would have been a little nicer as this thing was 50.00 and it was clearly the mistake of the person piercing. I remember her saying to my daughter -you cant move or pull away- and she was forcing the earring in as she was saying it. I know that's when this happened.. she was rude when we went the other day and now today. I am very disappointed as I heard good things about this place and now I have a daughter in more pain than she went in with and an infection bc the lady neglected to tell us that day. also I am out 50.00 and it has only been 3 days.. if it was possibly our fault then ok I will shut up but it wasn't and I am livid. now we have to go to a doctor appointment and most likely antibiotics along with more money and time wasted with a child in severe pain. totally unacceptable.I never write reviews but I wanted to the other day and I held off and today was unacceptable and I would not recommend this place. I've received two tattoos from cupcake in the past 6 months and he also pierced my ears a year or two ago and I can confidently say I will only be coming here for any future tattoos or piercings. Not only is Cupcake extremely professional and super nice and easy to talk to, he does great work. I have a few tattoos, and I have gone to a few different places, some I'll never return to, and some I have really been impressed with. Sin Alley is definitely the latter.I had a tattoo in mind that was small and simple but has a lot of meaning to me. When the artist I had seen previously didn't have availability, I walked into Sin Alley with a friend who had been pierced there before and enjoyed her experience. I just wanted to talk to them, and wasn't 100% set on getting tattooed that day. Less than 20 minutes later Drew had drawn up the design I had wanted, adding in the two extra elements I asked for. It looked exactly how I wanted, so I decided to just go for it.Sin Alley is clean and spacious, especially the downstairs where I was tattooed. Drew was quick and efficient, and he was also laid back and easy to talk to. And best of all, I love my tattoo. It looks exactly how I wanted it to, and the price was incredibly reasonable. I went here in December to get my nose ring fixed, and after that experience I knew I would be back to add to my tattoo collection     The place is super clean, and the staff are super friendly.  You can't go wrong at a place like that. We were in the downstairs studio which was so relaxing, especially with the tunes blasting First off, Im pretty indecisive so I need to thank Drew for being patient and understanding my vision.  He's an amazing artist and I'm so happy with his work.  Just like everyone else,  he's super chill and deserves a great review. DO NOT LET BILLIE PIERCE YOU. My girlfriend and I went in almost three months ago because I had decided to finally get my industrial piercing done after years of wanting it. My girlfriend was also going to get a piercing. I went first. When my girlfriend could not decide whether she wanted the industrial or her septum done, Billie told her she had 5-10 minutes to make a decision as she brought me in. She would not allow my girlfriend in anywhere in the room while I had my piercing done.After both of out piercings were finished, because I was new to cartilage piercings, I asked if it was normal that I heard a slight popping noise to which Billie (rudely) replied "you shouldnt, I didn't go near your ear drum" which confused me. She rushed us in and out for the piercings. Since then I have seen another piercer because I still continue to have issues with pain and occasional discharge from the piercing.He is a piercer I know personally and trust the most of any piercer. He has told my girlfriend and myself that our piercings were done incorrectly. As it turns out, Billie told us both to take our glasses off while piercing us so now our jewelry constantly hits our glasses when in and therefore messes with the piercing.So bottom line...DO NOT LET BILLIE PIERCE YOU. So, I had to get a cover up done of an old tattoo that I really didn't want anymore. I came in with the idea to get a star done to cover it up. I was quickly told that if I did a star, it would be really huge and really expensive in order to cover up my existing tattoo. Instead of trying to sell me into that option, Johnny wanted to make sure I did something I would really like. He helped me settle on a tribal to match another tattoo I had and I couldn't be happier with the result. You can't see that this was a cover up and its a really nice tattoo. Last Saturday I got my 1st tattoo here. It was sort of on a whim...I was with my friend the night before "pricing places" but I had already had a place in mind, but when I got here the staff was super friendly and the shop was clean. They also do great work with competitive prices...just like they said they would on their website haha! Mike Johnson did my friend and my tattoo and we are both super happy! I've already been getting compliments on it and it's in the peeling stage! So I can't wait until it heals up and looks even better :) I'd highly recommend this place to anyone...Like I mentioned, this was my 1st tattoo and I was nervous, but Mike was really awesome about the entire process and kept checking in to make sure I was feeling fine and all that. I wanted my nipple pierced, and I was looking for a place that wasn't sketchy, didn't charge too much more for a barbell than a ring, and someone with a great personality, and Sin Alley was perfect.  The price was the same for a barbell as it would have been with a ring (score!  this was the only place that i found that did this), and Mike was amazing.  The shop was spotless, and he was very professional and friendly, which made me feel so comfortable while getting my piercing.  I was a little nervous because he said that he had never done a diagonal piercing before, but it turned out exactly how I wanted it.  It didn't bleed at all, and is healing like a dream.  If I ever decide to get the other side done, I will definitely make the trip all the way down to Pawtucket so that I can get it done by him.  I wouldn't recommend anyone else.
