Mike Decay and his colleagues at Blackstone Tattoo Company are professional artists who provide high quality tattoo work. I've had a couple tattoos done by Mike and am often stopped by people who want to know where I got my tattoos done. Mike and his team put a lot of thought into their tattoo designs and take pride in their work. I would like to also note that when visiting Mike Decay's Instagram page (@mikedecay....which, by the way, is a great place to see his work), you can see that one or two people commented on his free tattoo giveaway contest on February 14, 2018 that they weren't happy with who he picked as the winner, and felt it was staged. I would like to also point out that both of these people were Instagram users who entered the giveaway and did not win. I was curious how Mike would handle this, as it seems with most things in life, you can't make everyone happy and often times, if people aren't happy with how something turns out, they point fingers at others to blame. So how did Mike handle it? He picked a second winner, and recorded himself picking a winner (as he did with the first winner), to show there was no bias and the act was random. The owner, Mike Decay, is a fraud. Mike promoted on his Instagram account for a “free tattoo giveaway” just to be staged, so he could “pick” one of his friends with 293,000 followers to “win” his giveaway. Extremely disappointing and will never give business to this artist or his business. Had a ton of potential to do a generous act and help someone out but instead chose someone with a large platform to get more promotion. Read Less

I made an appointment on Jan 4th- two months before my appointment was meant to be - which was scheduled for March 1st with Mike Decay. I was patient and understanding when he told me that he was still working on the design (I understand he's busy but 2 months to work on a design is a long time) , on February 28th . It's been nearly 3 months now that I've been patiently waiting to come in for my appointment. On March 4th he texted to let me know you would get back to me wi...th a rescheduled date but I didn't hear back after that. On March 13th I texted asking about a date for the rescheduled appointment but didn't hear back. I've called the studio a couple times too but haven't been able to get into contact with him. He's told me that he's had trouble with texts going through and that it was a known issue with other customers as well - but I didn't receive a phone call or any other means of communication so that we could reschedule. Not even after I had called the studio looking to speak to him, I was not contacted back - I was just told to keep calling daily to try to catch him when he's there. In the mean time I found another artist and got a different tattoo within this time span - (not the tattoo I was anticipating on Mike doing. I was hoping this would all resolve and I would still get work done by him). Love this place! I have gotten three tattoos by Mike Decay and he always does an amazing job, super clean lines, vibrant colors and he is FAST with the tattoo machine. I usually just give him a basic idea and let him roll with it and have not been disappointed.   All the artists are super friendly and engaging.  Also I ALWAYS heal well, which is a plus! I even dragged my best friend up from NC to get tattooed by Mike. As long as he is tattooing, he is my tattooed for life! (I suppose I should add that the shop is really clean and sanitary and everyone is licensed and certified by the state and all that fun stuff. Minor details). Read Less

I came here with my mother to get her tattoo. The decor is unique and welcoming! Derek Tabor did her tattoo and was very professional and personable. He helped keep her at ease while doing an amazing tattoo! He was very funny and helped design exactly what she wanted. I have gotten 6 tattoos by Derek Tabor now, and I gotta say, he's an amazing artist. The first tattoo started as a joke... And he turned it into a masterpiece. The second tattoo was at the tattoo convention, and he won the First Place Award! And he keeps getting better every time I see him.
