No one will ever take your idea and change it completely if they dont like it, and all are more than willing to copy a tattoo if you bring them a picture and say thats what you want exactly. Went to Iron Hand for my first tattoo. Steve D was wonderful! He walked me through every little detail of what to expect. Steve had a sense of humor and because I'm a huge baby that was extremely nervous, his humor was able to relax me. My tattoo is roman numerals of my grandgfather's birthday. This shop is fantastic! It's clean and the guys there are super friendly. I've been to other shops where the people behind the counter and the artists have a God complex going on and have made the whole experience uncomfortable, so I was thrilled to have this NOT be the case here. By far the best tattoo shop in Rhode Island. All the artists are so talented and nice. I get tattooed by Steve who always gives me SUPER reasonable prices. Seen people get the same size tattoos as me for more than double what I have paid for mine and they don't look half as good. Been to other shops with friends while they got tattooed and can't believe how rude some other artists are and how overpriced. I can't say enough great things about Kevin and his shop. ALL the guys are super friendly, professional and make the environment very comfortable. Kevins work is amazing and he is an amazing artist. He's been doing some corrective sleeve work for me and I couldn't be happier. I want to thank all the guys at Iron Hand Tattoo.  From the moment I spoke with Steve and explained that my sister and I were going to be in that area and that we wanted to get tattoos, (we checked out a lot of places in the area up to 30 miles out) this place was great!  Steve offered me his personal cell number so I was able to send a picture of the type of tattoo I was looking for and explained what type of tattoo my sister was looking for.  He gave us an appointment that fell perfect for our weekend getaway.      When we got there, everyone was pleasant, the environment was clean. Steve introduced himself, we discussed the ideas he came up with for my tattoo and I agreed that his recommendations were right, so we adjusted mine and went from there.  I love my tattoo (Thank you T.J.)!!  My sister had a verse written in our grandmother's handwriting and Steve did a fantastic job!!    I don't usually give out reviews, but even though Iron Hand Tattoo has great reviews, they were a little outdated so I wanted to make sure that everyone knew that these guys are still great!Thanks again,Girls From CT Read Less

Can't believe I didn't think to review this place earlier.Both myself & my wife have had work done here (we've literally been here every month since Fall of 2011), and, we plan on continuing this tradition 2012.The owner, Kevin, is not only a fantastic artist, but he's great at making you feel comfortable, and is super easy to talk to (he has great stories!). I recommend checking out his work on their Facebook page..The scariest part of tattoos can be the pricing, however, Kevin is always fair -- especially for his quality of work.A word of caution:  this is not a 'on-a-whim' tattoo shop; this is a thought out/book an appointment place so don't expect to go in and get tattooed the same day (or even the same month).
