Got my industrial pierced here. By far the worst piercing experience I've ever had. There's a reason it was only 20$. She peirced WAY too deep into my ear and I had to take it out as my skin was growing over top of the bar. She didn't mark my ear or let me double check where she was piercing it. I've had a total of 5 piercings and a tattoo from here over the past few years and yesterday made the 5th. My tongue, nose and monroe had healed nicely with no problems and the visit was pleasant. But, I got my belly button pierced here 3-4 years ago and it ended up getting infected and I took it out. Things happen and I don't blame the piercer. I have gotten 3 piercings total from York ink. My 1st was a year ago when I got my tongue done. I was & still am 100% satisfied. However, within the last 2 months I got my eyebrow & Monroe done there & both have been bad experiences. My eyebrow was my second piercing, I've had no problems with it at all until starting yesterday. I've been cleaning with antibacterial soap & antibotic cream often. Ive slightly bumped a few times, but nothing major to where it would be majorly s...wollen. I asked my piercer when I could change it out and she said 4 weeks minimum, but I waited 5. When I got my Monroe done I had no issues until 2 days later when I was walking with my bf and he pointed out that the gem fell out and of course we couldn't find it. Can’t speak to their tattoos, but my experience getting a piercing there was awful. I got my nipples done and the piercer didn’t even mark me so I was pierced crooked as fuck, and I was pierced with curved barbells, which aren’t good for nipple piercings. They got infections and healing bumps every other week no matter how much I cleaned them or did salt water soaks. I ended up taking them out for a few months and getting them redone somewhere else and haven’t had a single in...fection or bump and they look perfect! They also marked me and used titanium, straight barbells that were chosen correctly for my nipple size and shape, not just some standard “one-size-fits-all” curved barbell. Moral of the story is that you certainly get what you pay for. Maybe for like an earlobe piercing or nose piercing they wouldn’t be bad but anything harder than that, I’d go to real professionals. Went there 3/18/18. My daughter got ear piercing and tattoo of a butterfly. John did the tattoo and he was funny and pleasant and made my daughter laugh and comfortable. For the peeps saying your piercings got infected.. well that happens. A lot. Not just at this place but anywhere. My daughter was here a yr ago and got a bar in her ear and it got infected. Your body is rejecting a foreign object in your body. Keep spraying with sea salt water and stop bitching about shit that is common with most piercings. Went there on a Wednesday to get my nipples& belly button pierced my one nipples was pierced wayyyyyyy to deep and my other one was crooked ,shallow and actually on part of the nipple. She rushed me in and I should've known it wasn't going to come out right when she didn't even really say anything to me and didn't even use a marker to mark me to make sure it was atleast straight. My friend and I traveled an hour and half to come for the $10 piercings and these incompetent people pierced our nipples with a belly button ring!! The gauge is also smaller than the standard size so there isn’t even jewelry available to change it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. $10 body piercings on Saturday and Sunday. I was concerned about taking my daughter there simply because of the cheap price. As they say, cheap things are a lower quality than their expensive counterparts, but it wasn't a sketchy place like I had imagined! They used a surgical steel horseshoe for her septum, and even though the process was very quick, the piercer was experienced, explained the process, and gave us the aftercare instructions. So the fact that everything was done in the same way it would be at a location charging a much higher price, I was very impressed with the professional jewelry and service (I feel I'm knowledgeable enough to judge after having my lips, septum, nostril, cheeks, labret, nipples, and belly button pierced at other shops) for only $10. During the week, piercings are only $20! They were also willing to pierce my daughter at 14. I needed to provide my ID, her birth certificate, and sign a parental consent form, which made me feel a lot better. Even though we had to go home for her birth certificate and go again the next day, I felt more secure with them requiring it. They are fast with it all. I got my tragus done 3 months ago and it just now got infected so I had to take it out. I got it done on a 10$ day. I contacted York Ink Wednesday to see if they could fit my brother and I in for last minute sibling tattoos, he is stationed in U.K. with the Air Force and was leaving for another year Thursday. Kandi was the only artist in and was able to fit us in for an afternoon appointment! When we arrived she already had the pictures I had sent printed in different sizes with prices written beside them. We changed a couple things and she drew them up quickly. They turned out great! I've been to this shop twice. The first was with a friend who was getting a tattoo and it went pretty well. The second was when a friend and I decided to take advantage of a charity special they were running. That time? What a disaster. First the woman who did our tattoos was extremely rough, I have 6 other tattoos 2 of which are major and large pieces with a lot of intricate design and none of them felt anywhere near the pain from this small tattoo. Then the girl didn't wrap either of our tattoos before we left the shop, and by the time we were nearing home both of us were still dramatically bleeding from the site. Ultimately they healed terribly as well. The shading on the colors are patchy and even have spots missing and places where the color expanded from the outline. I went here in December of 2016 and it was my friend, and my boyfriend's mom we all got our noses pierced and yes there was a line but the wait was not long at all. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The piercer actually made us all feel very comfortable and relaxed. In and out of the chair in second. I have gotten both of my tattoos there. I was scared with my first one, but the guy was so cautious and slow and I had no problem! I got my second one on my neck and the person who did that was AMAZING. I wanted to get my daith pierced for fixing migraines. I looked up york ink (not knowing any place around where I live) and saw the $10 deal for the weekends and thought it was too good to be true. I decided to go anyway and just check it out. It was PACKED! The lady at the counter was so helpful and explained everything. I got my jewelry and stood in line. Great experience. I went with my friend and her sister. They each got a daith piercing and I had my rook done. We had to wait in line for a bit, but that was to be expected with a deal like that.I think we waited maybe 45 minutes total. Michelle was our piercer and she was great.
