Looked for several years for someone to do a military tattoo on my inner forearm. Talked to artists in Maryland, Delaware and Texas. No one could replicate the design. That is until I went to GrindHouse. Yeah, I know it's in a frkn' mall but Kelly, the owner was confident she could do it. It's been almost 18 months and looks new. Grindhouse Tattoo is the only place I go for tattoos or piercings anymore. The staff is incredibly friendly with good senses of humor and attitudes, and they're professionals with lots of experience. The shop is kept clean, and all materials that aren't single-use are cleaned with an autoclave. Jewelry is of good quality. Artwork is fabulous. Everyone is so nice, friendly and relaxed. Waited almost a year to get my tattoo, due to rescheduling the appointment several times, because of work. The parlor did not have a long waiting list and the first appointment I had was within 30 days. Sooooooo worth the wait! I got my tattoo yesterday afternoon and I LOVE it. The artists at Grindhouse are always friendly and do their best to put their clients at ease. They take time to thoroughly explain the care of your tattoo or piercing and make sure they know what you want. Skotty pierced my industrial and made sure I knew not to get hair color on it while it was healing (I have purple hair). Professional attractive staff ( except the piercer ) greeted at the door, and when inquiring about your tattoo or piercing needs you feel like your talking to someone who knows what their doing, I felt like I can trust them with ideas and they execute with input to help you make the best decision for you and your flesh. It's a great atmosphere when you're sitting for 4 hours getting needle therapy :) the tattoo artists do some of the best work I've ever seen and the piercer is fantastic! Would highly recommend. So a while back I decided I wanted my first tattoo on a whim. Grindhouse had zero problem not only bringing me in but also extended every professional courtesy in ensuring I knew how to treat the tattoo after the fact. Here we are sometime later and not only was the initial work awesome (A script piece by Scott, which the rest of the staff had no problem looking over as well) but it continues to look as if it were just inked yesterday. The shop is also incredibly nerd and military friendly, and clean. The term "tattoo/piercing parlor" sometimes conjures mental images of horror movies, this place couldn't have made me feel more at home. Read Less
