Let me just begin by saying many reviews are from friends of a business/owner to get the 5-star rating going along with good publicity. This is a legit review as I did not know Chris prior to my experience. If I could give 6 stars I would. Everyone in this shop was beyond pleasant to deal/work with. I had some tattoos done in the past from different shops, and wanted to rejuvenate them along with incorporating some other ideas into them to create a piece in addition to what I already had. I had some ideas in mind and Chris brought them to life and then some! His work is phenomenal. He is professional (along with everyone else in the shop) and listens to what you want done and will make various suggestions based on his expertise. The details in the work he did along with the end result of the tattoos exceeded my expectations. The environment is relaxing and they make sure you are comfortable. I'm looking to have some more work done and have found a permanent artist. If you are looking to get some true artwork done, look no further than Lantern Rose. Read Less

Actually went to La Marie Brow Club, which is in the suite back of Lantern Rose. Had permanent make up done on my lips. Very good job by Laura. And Lantern Rose is a beautiful shop, it looks more like an antique shop than tattoo parlor. The tattoos by Jesse and Chris are absolutely beautiful. Best tattoo shop in Pittsburgh! Fun, and insanely friendly staff. The joint is very well decorated, and the waiting area is comfortable. I've had four tattoos installed here, and will continue coming back, even if I move out of Pittsburgh. I'd try to call and make an appointment at least 2 months in advance. They're busy because they're awesome! Parking is aplenty on the back streets, and you can get cash or whatever from the adjacent gas station. Read Less

This shop is phenomenal! Chris and Jesse are unbelievably talented and two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Can't recommend them enough. This is the best tattoo shop I've ever been to. Whitney did my first tattoo 2 years ago and it is still holding up strong, and is easily the best quality work I've gotten. No other tattoo shop has come close to the quality or professionalism Bloodlines provides. Highly recommend. Read Less

This was my very first tattoo and I checked out a lot of artists that were referrals from friends. I am so glad that I made the drive from Erie, PA to Bloodlines! Doug Nedzesky captured exactly what I hoped. The whole experience was terrific. I enjoyed the conversation and Doug was very attentive, making sure that I was "doing OK" throughout the three hour session. In actuality, it didn't hurt anywhere near as badly as I feared, mostly more of a strong discomfort rather than pain. From the moment I walked in, until the time I left, I had an all around awesome experience at Bloodlines. Seth was my artist and I can't say enough good about him. He is crazy talented and very customer-centric. I was in the chair for over 8 hours, had a blast the entire time, and left with an amazing piece. It was also cool to meet some of the other artists as they were stopping in to see the progress on my tattoo throughout the day. The shop itself is trendy, super clean, and located in a nice area of town (Little Italy). Great food and drink nearby, and a parking lot a few steps away which was very convenient. It is a 2 hour drive to Bloodlines for me but Seth & the shop made it worth my every effort. Can't wait to be back in the chair for more! Read Less

We are so happy with our tattoos, we can't wait to get more.I thought I was a person that would get one tattoo. I got it 20 years ago. I got another one about 6 years ago. Chris recolored it. It is unbelievable!! People so me on the street to ask if it's real. It is one of the most gorgeous tattoos I have ever seen. Since then, I have gotten 2 more from him. I love them all. He is artistic, friendly, open and honest. He is very talented. I would recommend him for almost any genre of ink.There are 3 artists in the shop. Make an appointment with any one of them.
