Came to the Penn Ave location on a friend's recommendation. Excellent experience. Brandon was helpful, patient, and thoughtful in planning the tattoos and their positioning and making sure it was exactly what I wanted. I was looking for very simple black line work images, and he did them beautifully. Makes me want another tattoo!

Cantu did an AMAZING job with my tattoo. The shop is in downtown Pittsburgh on Penn Ave (he moved locations so disregard the old address listed on Yelp) and it was very comfortable. I'll be honest, I had my doubts when I walked in, but it was totally worth it. He is currently his only staff, which makes things 100% better because he puts a lot of thought and care into his pieces. He told us that he doesn't think the price of a tattoo should be high because the thought that goes into it is what should count, so the price of mine was very affordable compared to places that would charge almost 3x as much. I showed him something similar to what I wanted my piece to be and gave him a Maya Angelou quote to go with it, and he remade it on his own. I got it on my thigh and he was very helpful throughout the whole process. He loves to talk but when he's doing his work, you can see how focused he is on it. I asked a lot of questions and my friends and I talked about random things with him, so overall the experience was great! I paid $200 for my thigh tattoo, which, again, would have been $500-600 anywhere else in the area. Cantu is INCREDIBLY talented and I will definitely be back again. He's easy to communicate with and is overall a very interesting artist with a lot of creativity. Looking at his Instagram page (can2tattoo), you will not be disappointed. This is hands down my best tattoo experience and my favorite tattoo I've ever gotten. Very humble man, even better artist.

Shop looks great inside and out. They have mini mascotts, Pizza and Scout. Got work done yesterday night from Mel. She took her time designing an idea I had and was very friendly and kind. She got to know me more than just "you're my client, what's your name? Cool, let's do this. " Definitely worth the money spent and will be going back, requesting her specifically. Nothing better than going to get ANY service done and feeling 100% comfortable and at home through the entire process. We were instantly greeted when we walked in the door (of the really cool) Evolver Tattoo. I showed a design of a tattoo I wanted and asked him to do something similar but get creative and it turned out awesome.It was a little bit of a wait, the guy definitely liked to talk a lot but it was completely worth it, and like I said earlier we felt comfortable and had a good time while we were there so it wasn't a big deal at all. The pricing was incredibly fair, especially for the quality of work done. He did my tattoo, repeatedly checked in to make sure I was doing okay and to see if I needed any breaks and then finished up with a last ten minute touch up because he said he was perfectionist which was completely fine with me! extremely happy I made a last minute decision to stop in this shop, overall one of the best experiences I've had with tattoos. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to go in Pittsburgh.

Last weekend, I saw a sign outside of Evolver for student rates for Duquesne students. Today I just felt like getting a tattoo, so I went in for a walk-in. Bunny was able to take me immediately. She was super nice and patient. She answered all of my questions and explained the whole process in detail. She was also very quick, the whole tattoo took about 20 minutes. I am very impressed with Evolver and will definitely be back.

Went to Evolver for my nose and navel piercings. Very professional. The piercer went into detail about what he was actually doing and how things work. Very detailed on aftercare instructions. The pain is minimal since the piercer is experienced. Very fairly priced. A lot of places will charge for the starter jewelry even though it's too big and has to be replaced once the swelling goes down. Evolver charges fro the piercing alone.They also use Teflon coated needles and, in my opinion, helps a lot compared to the piercings I've gotten without it. Have recommended to friends who have had positive experiences. Will go back for future piercings.

I feel really bad cause I don't recall either of these people's names, but both of them helped me and a friend with our nose piercings. They were both great! Very detailed! They took us late on New Year's Eve and last minute. It cost 30 bucks for the nose piercing, very affordable. They maintained conversation the whole time, I highly recommend this parlor.

Last weekend, I saw a sign outside of Evolver for student rates for Duquesne students. Today I just felt like getting a tattoo, so I went in for a walk-in. Bunny was able to take me immediately. Went to Evolver for my nose and navel piercings. Very professional. The piercer went into detail about what he was actually doing and how things work. Very detailed on aftercare instructions. The pain is minimal since the piercer is experienced. Very fairly priced.
