I have now had a sleeve and 3/4 done at Grace and everywhere I go, I get asked by people of all ages where I get my tattoos done and how beautiful they are. Even grandmothers comment how beautiful my arms are! And it's all thanks to Billy. My husband also goes to Dan and is equally as tattooed as me and gets the same kind of compliments (less about them being beautiful and more about them being bad ass or amazing tattoos). The shop, owned by Dan Mrusko is warm, friendly, unhurried and super clean. All of the artists are among the regions most respected. I wanted a symbol of the Circle Of Life and after a long period of research, I found Ensō (circle) a sacred symbol in the Zen school of... Buddhism and one of the most common subjects of Japanese calligraphy, even though it is a symbol and not a character. Ensō symbolizes strength, elegance, the universe, single mindedness, and the acceptance of imperfection as perfect. Within the circle I have 2 letters attached to each other, which can be seen when my arm is down or when it is raised. Prior to going to Valley Forge, PA for work, I found this tattoo place through a google search. When I first called I was quite impressed with how the person sounded on the phone. He sounded like he cared about what i was looking for and reassured me that they would be able to take care of it. So I scheduled the appointment with Billy and he was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this tattoo parlor a million times. I had the pleasure of being tattooed twice by Billy. He was accommodating, thoughtful, and gave me two pieces that are absolutely beautiful and detailed. The shop is clean, the bathroom is clean, and they always offer a beverage while you wait for a consult or your appointment. Billy seemed to be pretty booked for about a month in advance when I scheduled both tattoos, but it was worth the wait. I think that is pretty average for a custom tattoo anyway. The shop has an open layout so there are no private booths. I was a little worried at first glance because there isn't a ton of privacy, but I ended up enjoying the open atmosphere as I sat for 3.5 hours for each tattoo. Decided to get some new ink to honor my 28 years of service as a Firefighter. Asked around and sought recommendations from friends and the overwhelming response was Dan at Grace Tattoo. Met with Dan and quickly made an appointment. First thing I noticed was how clean and neat the shop was. Second the friendliness of Dan and his staff was very welcoming. I emailed Dan my vision of the tattoo I wanted and asked if he could add or delete what he felt could make it better. The day of my appointment, Dan showed me what he came up with and we tweaked it so we both agreed and moved forward. Went to grace for my first tattoo thanks to Facebook friends. When I called, they even cut the deposit out they were so nice. When I walked in, Billy cleaned the station and sketched the design out right in front of me and helped me design it. After, he put it on my leg to make sure I liked it. I had a tattoo that was 6,7 years old it was received at a different shop.. This tattoo was an atrocity. I set up an appointment with Billy. Allow me to tell you a little about Billy before I tell you how he prefomed this miracle. Billy is a family oriented guy. He is very driven. He was telling me stories on how he would wake up in the morning and draw 1st thing. This gentleman is charismatic,and my personal beliefe is he is a bit of a perfectionist. This is the type of guy you want if you decide to put art,or need art fixed on your body.! Beyond his motivation, and dedication to his craft he is simply the most humble, and down to earth 🌍 person. I had four tattoos done (one above each collarbone, one on each wrist) by Dan, the owner of the shop. Dan was fantastic. Since these were my first tattoos he walked me through the process, helped with sizing and placement, and reworked the designs I brought in. Dan worked with me to do a cover up of a very disappointing tattoo I got a couple years ago and he was collaborative with me to make sure I would be happy with it, really listening to me about what I wanted and what I didn't want. I called Grace on a wednesday to see if they take walk- ins, and after explaining what I wanted over the phone, the guy had me make an appointment for the following day, and put me in touch with an artist. I met the artist, Billy Ferrier, and showed him my very amateur drawing of what I wanted. He helped me pick a style and explained a lot of things which made me comfortable and excited! He sent me an email later that day with a rough sketch of my idea, and I absolutely loved it. I went in and we got to work right away in a clean, comfortable environment. Let's be frank.  Getting a tattoo freaking hurts.  To me, it feels like the artist is taking a newly sharpened pencil to morbidly sunburnt skin.  But what I love about my experience so far with Grace Tattoo and Billy Ferrier was that the rest of the process was painless. Billy was professional when we spoke about my idea for my back and he was very prompt in getting drafts of the image to me via email.  He was helpful with his suggestions and ideas yet extremely open to my input.  When I saw the final draft I was legit emotional--it was as if he read my mind.  It didn't matter that my art skills are at Level Stick Figure 101 because he listened to exactly what I said and used his creativity to design a one of a kind piece.  The shop is clean, Billy's lines are sharp, and he made me feel as comfortable as possible in an uncomfortable situation.  I can't wait for my next session with Billy and Grace Tattoo! I was just at Grace yesterday. I cannot express what a fantastic experience I had. From the moment I walked in and spoke with Alex I was greeted with a warm, clean, professional atmosphere. There was none of that "super cool" tattoo shop posturing that you sometimes find. It was just nice guys who happen to be great artists who want to do artwork they are proud of. Alex, who I am compelled to say is dipped in so much awesome he glows, did my tattoo which is a cover-up of a name. (Aside: Ladies, please. I know you think you love him, but don't.)
