Philadelphia Tattoo Collective is a private tattoo studio located in Northern Liberties in Philadelphia, PA. We are appointment only but our artists are always accepting new clients and inquires! Amazing place, Ruby is extremely talented! Everyone is friendly here, I love the industrial design, it was an awesome way to spend the day and I got the tattoo of my dreams. Ruby took her time to understand exactly what I wanted, was completely prepared when I arrived. She designed my tattoo perfectly from the examples that I sent, but also using her creative judgement. She made sure it was exactly where I wanted it and that it flowed with my arm shape. The lidocaine was awesome, after the black outline, I didn't feel a thing. I was so comfortable and relaxed all day. It was such an honor to be tattoed by Ruby, I can't wait until my next appointment!

Nice space with a great group of artists. I've gotten tattooed by Andrew Johnson-Lally here, who is fantastic. Very easy to get to with public transit since it's right next to the MFL.

Andrew Johnson-Lally has been tattooing me for about 10 years now. I follow him from shop to shop. Yesterday I got my 8th or 9th......? Tattoo. First time at Tattoo Collective. It's a big shop, bright, clean, and has a much different feel than a lot of other shops. It was really relaxing. All in all a stellar visit. I am looking forward to heading back for more ink.

Just gotta my second tatto from Alexandra Fische here. Honestly, I just love the whole vibe and environment there. Super clean, super amazing. Everyone was really friendly and it didn't feel like my first time in this shop (which is was). I like to collect tattoos from a lot of artists and I can say Alexandra is by far one of my favorites and if a shop is employing someone like her, then I know the other artists are just as amazing.

Stepping into this business instantly shifts you from one of the more economically depressed areas of the city, with its run-down buildings and the near constant thunder of the El running above the street, into an open, clean, comfortable, well maintained space. I'm not a tatto person so I was prepared to feel out of my element, as I have in the past, when I accompanied my husband here for his third tattoo. Benji Harris had done the previous two so my husband followed Ben to this location.
No matter how many tattoos or how large their ear gauges, everyone that was here smiled warmly at "vanilla" (my words) me and made me feel comfortable. There was even a nice, comfy chair for me to relax in while I waited. My husband loves Ben's work, and would highly recommend him to anyone but I figured that I would leave this review from a slightly different perspective.
