Normally I don't take the time to write reviews but I really felt the need to warn others about the service I received when I WALKED IN THE FRONT DOOR: As I said I walked in on sunday 10/8/17 to see if they had any tattoo goo or redemption for my tattoo's care as i do not want a product with lanolin on my tattoo.Upon arrival I was promptly greeted by a girl with brown braided hair and dark rim glasses who said   "we don't have it, just use aquaphor". I had told her i had bad experiences with the product aquaphor and was looking for tattoo goo or redemption. Well evidently this question hit a hipster nerve.As she then replied to me in an extremely condescending tone "oh cause tattoo goo doesn't?" then rolled her eyes like I was some kind of idiot that never had a tattoo before. I get that she may of had a bad day or maybe she just didn't feel like being at work that particular day but to speak to a customer like that is extremely unprofessional and if she doesn't want to hear questions about tattoos then don't work at a tattoo shop!Other than her the place looked pretty decent with its register of artists and their work. But her hipster "holier than thou" attitude was incredibly rude for just an honest question. Maybe if the shop found a new employee to help walk ins I would have had a better experience even if they didn't have the product I was looking for. As this girls attitude was definitely uncalled for. I wish I got her name because I wouldn't recommend her to anyone if she does tattoos. AHHHHH RUN AWAYYYYYYY!! I called ahead to set an appointment. I wanted the tat that day so it would have time to heal before I had to go back to work. They said, "Nah, just stop by." I stopped by and was told, "Oh, there's 'a few' people in front of you." They didn't tell me "a few people" meant 5 hours (not to mention travel time). Another guy came in and they specifically told him to come back they didn't have room. I assumed if the same was true for me, they would have told me. I kept wanting to leave, but I'd already been tricked into waiting so long already... eventually, I had to use the bathroom. UNSANITARY! They didn't have toilet paper or paper towels. Even the liquid soap was watered down. Ewww! They finally get to me. It's late, I'm tired, the artist is tired. I'm thinking about how to get through the needle pain and stressing about getting home. It's dark now and not safe as a female alone on public transit. Then they tell me no tat. They said I'm "not in the mindset". Damn right I'm not in the mindset - I'm ANGRY! I've gotten my nipples pierced twice from there and going for a third time. (Had to take them out for procedures I had to get done, not because of infection or anything like that). Each time I went, it was a spur of the moment piercing. The first time they were about to close and stayed so I can come and the second time they were just as professional and kind. Got my first tattoo here (lower back Lily) by Tanya back in 2012, got my second (infinite Faith left wrist) by Adam in 2015, and I will be going back for my 3rd tattoo before this year is out. Hard Ink is the only place I will go to for tattoos. The staff is very friendly and professional. The environment is clean and they are meticulous of sterilization before, during, and after services. All I had was a small scripture done but he gave me exactly what I wanted and was super laidback guy. I'm definitely going back. Jose (the owner) has been in the business for over 15 years. No wonder he's so skilled. He did a little wrist tattoo for me about 6/7 years ago and I came back to him recently to jazz it up. He was good before, but now he's just f***in awesome. And he remembered my name! He took the time to make sure I was comfortable because tattoos really hurt like hell.
