The experience was disappointing. Pete, no doubt, is very talented. He wasnt excited about my tattoo project. Perhaps it did not provide for much creative license. He put no time into planning, or thinking through, ways we discussed that might enhance the image. The first session was front loaded, and the charge was high. The website says nothing regarding progress billing, but if one is familiar with this business, that should be common knowledge. I didn't know that. Perhaps consider indicating in your payment policy that a time estimate would be provided, and expected payment is required for each session, as those unfamiliar with progress billing moving targets might be caught unaware, as I was. I was apologetic...arranged a partial credit card payment. Only half the amount went through, so I offered to drive to the shop to make cash payment for the rest. From the beginning of this unfortunate misunderstanding, Melissa treated me like a dishonest criminal. Rude and cold as ice. I had no intention of begrudging a talented artist his due, but by the treatment received, you'd never know it. Melissa left a curt message, as I arrived at the shop, turning away my payment, indicating that the last hour and a half session was cancelled, and that they would keep the deposit. So, in the end, I paid $1000.00, and am left with unfinished work, that reflects none of Pete's artistic individuality. What I have is copy work...no more. Melissa should be assured that she clearly exhibited cold, rude and nasty behavior, but, at least, she collected every penny, plus much more, than what my tattoo is worth. Putting artistry aside, this is a business, and how you treat people matters. Melissa, you should get some sensitivity training, or experience a bit a life, so that you are better able to recognize the humanity in people.
