Went to get my beautiful nose stud that Chris Diamond, a guest piercer did beautifully back in January, changed to a ring. Not only did Julia pick too small a ring but proceeded to rip a slit while trying to change it, bent the $75 gold ring & told me NOT to use saline washes. Within a week my nose was huge, swollen & permanantly scarred. Contacted original guest pierecer & he told me to go to another shop. No guessing now I have a super ugly long slit and a nose piercing that wont heal. Every time its hot or my nose swells, i get a sore at the bottom of the ring. Julia pierced my 6 year old daughter's ears today. It was painless! She was pierced with flat backed studs, so no pokey in the neck when your sleep. She did mine as well. Definitely would recommend for children and adults who want to get pierced. Stay away from the guns! Read Less

I went in for my first tattoo today and had Jose (I believe that was his name) as the artist. He was so kickass and really kept me calm throughout the whole experience by continuously talking to me. Someone described him as having a "soft touch" with the needle and although I have no comparison, I've concluded that that is a total understatement. He doesn't force the needle in to your skin and lets the machine do all the work (like a chainsaw ) It was on my finger, and due to all the hype about how painful tattoos are, I was expecting it to hurt as bad as breaking a bone. Getting a shot at the doctors hurt worse.The shop was neat and tidy, and the people who work there are accommodating.Thanks dude!! P.S.: the girl at the desk is so nice and funny! Loved her! Always a good time when i visit. Gettin some ear projects done soon that i would not have thought of if i didn't go see Jul with the one i found online. Not advertising them till i get them done. I have been to Fyre Body Arts on two separate occasions - once for a tattoo and again for a piercing. Each time I was exceptionally happy with the service I received. The level of professionalism from all of the staff is incredible. I've been to a couple different places for piercings over the years (including some "snootier" places in Philly) and would 100% recommend Fyre over those places. Julia is so sweet, and genuinely knowledgeable about what she is doing. I had a bit of a wait today (but nothing out of the ordinary for a piercing/tattoo shop) and Julia upgraded my jewelry at no charge just for waiting - completely unnecessary but so thoughtful. A few years ago i had come here for a lip piercing and it was done fabulously, the place was clean, staff was super nice and friendly... So i returned for a more private piercing. Again had a great experience with the staff however my piercing bled a lot more than i had expected. Days and even months later the piercing was not healing properly. I took out my jewelry and let it close. After a couple years allowing it to heal, I called ahead to make sure a piercer was going to be there that particular night. Having been told yes, i made the 45 minute drive there only to be told she went home early. I left my name and number and after a week of not recieving a phone call I went somewhere else. 3 days later someone finally called me and when I expressed to them I already went to another shop the attitude set in. I'm unsure if someone else is running the business or what the deal is but it's not the same shop it used to be. Read Less

I loved my experience at this shop, I worked with the piercer named Zach to get my Monroe done. He is very relaxed and professional. He understood that I get a little nervous around needles and did an amazing job of keeping me relaxed and focused on what he was saying instead of what he was doing with the needle. The piercing was so quick that I barley felt a thing and was very happy with the job that he did. I am definitely going to return to the shop and ask for him when I return. This is my go to tattoo parlor to go! Most of the people there are super nice. They now have 2 floors. Usually piercings do not last on me but when I get it done there it lasts! I recommend everyone to go there I could've given this place 5 stars but I decided to give them 3 stars because as I was checking out one day getting my nose ring changed. The guy (bigger size and I believe bald)was basically telling the other girls and I we had to tip. Now let me tell you Tipping is an option. You don't force anyone to tip. I work in a nail salon so I know that tipping was very important. I always tip!  He said "Now Kathy I was explaining to the girls that tipping is import.." I didn't let him finish and I said "I ALWAYS TIP" And the way his voice sound when he said it was every effing rough and annoying. I really do hope Julia (owner) see this review and do something about this. In the end I gave my girl a good tip. I just hope it just goes towards her and that she didn't have to split it. Till this day I still haven't went back to the parlor since that incident. But if I did go back, I'll make sure he does not say that to me or anyone again. I'm a person that speaks my mind. The people at Fyre are WONDERFUL! Very professional and clean shop. After getting a side labret pierced at a *different* shop incorrectly, with a too-short labret, my lip was swelling up and the ball of the labret was reversing into my lip and clamping it painfully. My piercer at that shop just instructed to use alcohol mouthwash, clean it with biotene, and come back if it got any worse. (what??!!?!) I obviously didn't want to go back to the previous shop, so after doing some research, found Fyre, which is APP-certified. The girls in the shop were extremely friendly and helpful. I had a lot of anxiety going in, nervous that poking around it anymore would be really painful (when I initially got it pierced at another shop, it took ten to fifteen minutes of wiggling the labret into my fresh piercing - holy ow - I almost blacked out) but Haley helped me calm down that it'd be fine and fixed up. Switching the jewelry out was nearly zero on pain and took seconds. Definitely going back to Fyre for any future work. It's an hour drive away from home for me, but totally worth the trip!I made a Yelp account just to write this review. I just went in there yesterday to get my conch, daith, and forward helix. They're actually going through renovations so it's  kind of in the works (the environment at least). My friend and I walked in and were warmly greeted by Sarah, who was ecstatic to be doing her "three favorite piercings." There was also a guest piercer, Courtney, who was just was excited. Needless to say, the two girls made us feel so completely welcome and twice as excited. They made the environment of a piercing shop to not even feel like a piercing shop but actually your best friend's house! So, when it was my turn to get pierced, Sarah went on and on about aftercare and made sure that I understood absolutely everything. She sterilized every in front of us and the piercing procedure was great! It didn't even hurt. She also changed her gloves everytime she touched my ear - very clean and professional.The prices are extremely reasonable. If you 2 piercings, it's buy one, get one free...so I ended up not paying for one piercing. And the jewelry selection is where it's at! It's such a wide range. What really made me see how dedicated of a piercer Sarah was, was that I really wanted this purple opal gem in my conch, but she said it was sold out. She went to the back (without telling me) and actually found it for me! So I definitely felt great to be pierced by someone so dedicated to piercing.After I got pierced, Sarah even gave me a free little baggie of sea salt and H2Ocean. FYRE BODY ARTS IS THE BEST.they do amazing tattoos and piercings.i've personally been pierced by sarah monster twice. she did my eyebrow a little over a year ago, and she did my nose last week. she's amazing.they sterilize everything right in front of you, have a wide selection of jewelry to choose from, and are so nice. they make you feel like one of their best friends when you walk in, and everyone is so personable. their prices are reasonable as well.when you go to get pierced, they have you read all about how to care for it before they even take you back. then they sort of quiz you on how you're gonna take care of it and what to look for. they want to make sure you know what you're getting into.this is my favorite place ever. i wish i could get pierced every week so i could just hang out here (:i definitely recommend fyre if you're looking to get pierced or tattooed.
