I called in on short notice to get a Saying done. I was thankful not only that Joseph was happy to fit me in but he was also so patient with me! Not only am I a little on the picky side but I'm super shy with my body. He went out of his way (unlike the last 4 artists I had at different locations). If you want a down to earth artist that does great work and will go out of their way to make sure you leave happy with your piece, go see joseph at norristown tattoo! Perverse, rude, awkward artist named Joseph did excellent work tattoo wise but really has issues with with hands and work etiquette. I finally decided on what I wanted after many years of contemplation and found Court through Yelp here in Norristown. Out of the many places I checked out he was the one who responded to my inquiries immediately with patience and even let me email him my selection and then he enhanced it from there and sent it to me for my review. It was great and when we met up so was Court. He gave me information and made me feel comfortable and right at home. He's very personable, intelligent and cultured. I would be remiss if I didn't review this awesome business.  I have a decent amount of tattoos but this was an above average experience.  Court is a great tattoo artist that can do all sorts of different kinds of work, a jack of all trades if you will.... What can I say... Besides... JOSEPH IS TRULY THE BEST!!It definitely has been a while since I had gotten some new ink,  and I had been wanting something for a long time now. My gf went recently (she has gone to them before) and the pieces he did for her were just amazing. The day she was getting another done, she asked me to stop by. Since I was in the area I though... Why not.Joseph answered a lot of questions I had and was very nice. A short time after, I stopped by again to show him the 2 tattoos I had found and was very interested in. He had me email them to him and had his ideas ready for when I got there. The suggestions he made for my tattoo were absolutely spot on!!He made a stencil and placed it where I wanted it and ironically enough, we bough thought it needed to move just a little bit (i felt bad asking, but then realizing that getting a tattoo is not like buying anything else where u could just return it... When he mentioned it... I was happy).Ok, so I was a little nervous since it's been years since my last tattoo. Joseph made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I felt nothing (except my endorphins flowing).It really took no time at all... I couldn't believe we were done. I was 1/2 tempted to get the 2nd one I had found Bc the experience had been so great. Although Joseph comes off very quiet and almost a little shy... Once u get talking to him, not only is he amazing to find out about, but definitely a funny guyMy tattoo was done and was time for the 'unveiling'... Omg... I could not have been any happier with the work he did!! Honestly!! Just absolutely beautiful!As far as cost... Well... I can say that in currently going through some stuff (as we all do from time to time)... But this surely didn't put a hole in my pocket!!The place is very neat and clean. A good amount of norristown is run down or dis connected in the ugliest fashion. Its Quite depressing in a de evolving way! Norristown tattoo is the only glue that still intacts the vaule of what it is to be from here but NOT part of the rotten core. IT IS THE BEST TATTOO SHOP IN NORRISTOWN NO DEBATE NEEDED! Court ryan and Joseph are spectacular and very fluid. A group of happy conversationalist to ease the process of getting a tattoo. Being an artist is a radiating display of supreme 3rd eye expression and beauty, and all 3 of them have that pouring out of there sketch book. Do your skin a favor and stop on by Norristown tattoo! I just was in here for my FIRST ever tattoo and could not have been happier. Not only were the artists super cool and laid back, they were extremely professional and put me at ease. Very comfortable environment, worked well with me, and had me leave a very happy customer. I felt taken care of, and certainly will be back for my next tattoo. The artist really took his time with my piece and I love it. Definitely a place I would recommend! Also, shop was clean, neat, and had a laid back feel. My first tattoo was spur of the moment I've been thinking about getting one for about four months, I walked in to get an information about cost and time. An amazing experience I wasn't sure if I wanted to get a tattoo today so I called the place and my boyfriend and I went over and we were helped by a nice man named Ryan and he was amazing person. I told him the ideas I had and my boyfriends too and then he drew it up and they looked great!!!!! He touched up my boyfriends other tattoo. Ok so I have gotten my past 3 tattoos here with Ryan and he's such pleasure to work with (so much so that I brought my roommate and his girlfriend here for their first tattoos and they had a great experience). He is really knowledgeable and absolutely willing to answer all of your question and give you honest feedback.    Pricing wise this place if great. The shop minimum is $40 which may look sketchy to some people however this place is far from your stereotypical sketchy storefront tattoo joint. Ryan is a great artist with some seriously killer line work. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for some quality affordable work. Norristown tattoo is a stellar establishment. Court was my tattoo artist.  He does an awesome job.  I went in for several sittings and still get compliments on my work.  I would recommend custom work from here...bring in an idea and let them sketch it out for you. The area surrounding the tattoo company is a little sketchy but don't let that scare you.  They are a super clean shop and do great work. Read Less

The shop is pretty small but don't let it fool you! The artists are awesome, very real, and wont give you a bad tattoo. They seem very dedicated to making sure youre completely comfortable during the session and happy at the end! Some artists charge more than others but the prices are relatively low for the awesome quality tattoo youll be getting! if you have a guest theyll usually let them sit back with you while youre being tattooed which is a plus!Read Less

This place is great!!!I went based on reviews from here!! Thanks yelp!! I was skeptical because norristown is very 'whatever', but what better market than a town when people get a lot of dumb tattoos?!Also it needs to be noted, I joined yelp to write this review.I went in for my fourth tattoo, just a small image on my index finger. "Steve was there ready and available (it was about 4pm on a Monday) and right away felt comfortable with the store and his friendly demeanor. He asked why I wanted the tattoo, and before I knew it, he had exactly pinpointed the design right out of my brain on to his paper. It was as if he read my mind!! After he was done setting up the gun and everything, it took about 5 minutes to etch the image, and it's more than perfect. Literally exactly what I was thinking of!!The best part is that besides the stock tattoos on the wall, his studio had a ton of drawings on the wall as to show things he was capable of doing... That made me feel great since I have a lot of nerdy tattoos and there were many drawings of Disney stuff and other cartoon related sketches.I am definitely coming back to get more work done soon!!!!!!
