I got 2 piercings done here and they healed perfectly with no issues whatsoever.. i had my nose done twice before somewhere else and it hurt so bad.. came to this place and it didn't hurt at all!!! Review based off my experience with Zach and Eleanor: I will never go anywhere else for a piercing ever again! Zach and Eleanor were wonderful. When we first came in we were a little nervous and the first thing Zach did was talk to us and crack jokes which instantly made us feel at home. He explained everything to us wonderfully - what was going to happen and instructions for afterwards. It’s a great space and very clean and welcoming. This review is for Up in Arms' piercing services. Eleanor recently pierced the tragus in each of my ears and I couldn't be happier with the results! You can see from the photo that there is barely any swelling and there's almost no pain (and this is only one day after getting the piercing done). Eleanor was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and explained pricing all before the actual piercing. The whole thing was no pressure, and really chill which I really appreciated! The place itself was super clean and she took extra care to sanitize the tools and jewelry for my piercings. I'll definitely be back to get more piercings done once these finish healing! Everything was great. Zack was awesome and super friendly. I needed to get my nose re pierced because the first time, I had gone to piercing pagoda and the ring kept coming out, I couldn’t get it back in and it closed up pretty quickly, and they wouldn’t redo it for me. I haven't gotten a tattoo here yet, but I intend to, and will update accordingly. I came to the shop to see Zack to get a tooth gem, something I have been wanting for years. Despite his light giving him a little trouble, he made it work, and even made time to do one on my mom as well. After our teeth were sparkly and gorgeous, my mom asked him to check out her belly button since she has had three piercings reject after her tummy tuck. He reassured her that he was the man for the job, and hooked her up with some beautiful custom jewelry to boot. My review is based solely on my piercing experience with Zack Watson and Eleanor Boyd. I have not been tattooed at Up in Arms. I needed to get my ear cartilage re pierced and this shop is local to me. It is easy to get to and easy to park. Zac immediately greeted me and took me back to his piercing room. He told me that my piercing had indeed healed up so he would re pierce me and I needed to pick jewelry. Loved the options! I chose a pink stud and the stud was sterilized while I filled out consent forms. I noticed he went above and beyond with sanitation, wearing not only a beard hair net but a face mask. Probably the only studio I have been to where I have seen that. Piercing was relatively simple and I was emailed cleaning instructions. He also offered to change out some of my other piercings with better quality jewelry. I got my nostril bone changed out for something a little easier to work with and I love it! Loved my new jewelry so much that I returned a few days later to have my rook, tragus, and navel upgraded to better quality jewelry! I highly recommend this shop for piercing! A few days ago I had a tongue bifurcation done by Zack Watson. I can unhesitatingly recommend him. I arrived somewhat nervous and he quickly put me at my ease. His knowledge and bedside manner are second to none; add to that an excellent sense of humor. He definitely cares about his clients. During the procedure he regularly asked if I was doing OK (the answer was always yes). I like that he was concerned about me rather than simply performing a procedure. I travelled 3hrs and it was definitely worth it. I just wish he was closer as I could easily become a regular! Zack let me know if you ever plan on doing any guest spots here in OH. Read Less

I went in about a month ago to see what your shop could do with my navel piercing(your shop didn't do it). I came in not knowing if it was infected, or rejecting, or what. Stephanie hooked me up with some way better quality jewelry, and reassured me it would be fine! Ten years ago my lob broke due to frost bite, a doctor sewed it back together and it was left very thin and strange shaped. Eventually it broke putting an earring in. I came to Zack by chance and he showed me some previous works he had done in a similar fashion. I felt very comfortable in his ability and within a short amount of time my lobe was sewn back together, despite having not... much to work with it was surprisingly thicker than the doctor had left it prior. I was strongly recommended not to stretch the ear, but to wait 6 or more months and he could scalpel the ear to fit my desired earring. I waited a full year and returned . With ease he removed some cartilage and 3 months later I have a fully healed healthy one inch earlobe again. His knowledge and care are top notch and I recommend anyone in the area to make the trip to Up In Arms. I advise anyone new to piercings, tattoos, body modifications, to take your time, do your research, consult with professionals like Zack and take their advice. Be patient you only get one body. Lord Zach did an excellent job piercing my daith. I actually went in because I was having an issue with a daith piercing that I had done elsewhere. I'm actually pretty disappointed with my tattoo... My rating has more so to do with that than my experience at the shop. Staff was great and the artist was really nice, but once i took the wrap off, washed it, and the swelling went down, i noticed some things that I did not notice before i left the shop. I have gotten three tattoos done by them and have had my belly button top and bottom pierced by them as well. I will be soon getting another tattoo from them. They are the only shop I will go to and I trust all of them. They make you feel comfortable with anything you want and get they know what they are doing and give the best advice to say what they think may work better. Went there about 2 years ago and got my first tattoo done experiences as fine. Then I thought I would go back to ask them some questions about another tattoo I wanted and I went upstairs and was greeted by a lady and I asked my questions and she stopped and looked at me like I was and idiot and I felt judged for what I wanted, she told me to come talk to someone else and they kept giving each other looks as if they just didn't want to deal with me and so she handed me a card and said we can't answer your questions here u need to email us and so I did and waited 3 months with no response and email again. I've gotten a ton of compliments on my tattoos and recommend them to everyone who asks. Very clean shop with incredible artwork, I have NEVER seen a bad tattoo come out of Up In Arms. They might be a little more expensive than other shops but if price is your only concern, don't get a tattoo. A good tattoo isn't cheap and these guys are artists. Best shop in the Pittsburgh area! Everybody there was very proffesional and the shop is CLEAN and very nicely done. They will work with you on creating the idea that you want and won't turn anyone away as far as I've seen. Prices are very fair and they will work with a budget. I got tattooed here, and I paid my deposit, waited two weeks and never got a call, I called and he finally told me that he meant to call. We scheduled an appointment. The morning of my appointment I stopped by to make sure I liked the design, he hadn't drawn it up yet, it was the day of the tattoo and he asked to reschedule I said no. After a lot and back and forth I finally started to get tattooed. I got tattooed by the guy with long hair, and a case of depression. He began to discuss his depression and drug use as well as stating that one of the other artists seems to have a possible heroin problem, and these guys work with needles.
