Chris was awesome from start to finish! He responded to an email question within the hour. He was willing to schedule a same day appointment or an appointment a few days later. I haven't gotten a tattoo in over 15 years, but was put at ease by his knowledge of the current processes and industry. I only got a small tattoo of a cartoon on my wrist, but his excitement over doing my tattoo was genuine (as if it were much bigger) and shows that he really loves his work. After having a less than positive experience elsewhere, I realized that I never left a review for Revelation! This is DEFINITELY my go-to tattoo place. I have received two of my three tattoos from Chris and I have been happy both times I've left the shop. Everyone there is welcoming, kind, and very easy to work with. All my son wanted for his 18th birthday was a tattoo! He wanted one to symbolize Crohn's Disease which he has had for 5 years now. Chris was excellent from the email correspondence, to the in-person consultation, and then the actual appointment. There are 3 tattoo shops in my hometown, but I was willing to drive 25 minutes to Revelation due to the reviews online, and they were spot on. As a first-timer, I felt completely at ease at Revelation. No one made me feel rushed or pressured in any way. The shop itself is uncluttered and very clean. These guys are great artists, so I felt kind of guilty getting a very basic tattoo (coordinates) that required no creativity. It did, however, require skill and precision, and Will did a better job than I thought was possible. Everyone who has seen the work has said it's very high quality, and I'm happy every time I look at it. Now that I've gotten the first one out of the way, I can't wait to get more. I took my nose ring out for 2 weeks and when attempting to get it back in, it kept getting stuck. I called Revelations and even though I didn't get my piercing there, Chris got on the phone and proposed a few situations of what could be occurring. He suggested I come in so he could take a look and let me know what was happening. He was so very helpful the entire time, from the phone call to me leaving. I appreciate that he takes the time to become knowledgeable about piercing/tattooing African Americans. Just got a tattoo with Will on the side of my ribs all the way down to the hip bone. Kinda hurt but was all good. It was my second time being here. And I got it from both Chris and Will. Had a fantastic experience over this holiday weekend at Revelation Studios with Will! Found them on the internet, and Will's work really appealed to me. Met with him two weeks ago to go over my idea for my first tattoo that I wanted on my right forearm. He was professional and engaging right from our first meeting. Came in this past Saturday, and he reviewed my design with me, and took his time to ensure I was happy with what he was planning. All told the experience lasted a little over 3 hours, and my tattoo looks amazing!
