I've been going to Main Line Tatooing for 20 years.  Michael (the owner/operator/artist) did my very first tattoo back in 1997 and I've gone back for many more tattoos and a navel piercing.  Michael is a fantastic artist.  He will work with you for as long as it takes to design your tattoo exactly how you want it.  He is a funny guy and will put you at ease while you get inked/pierced.  His studio is small, but immaculately clean.  What's most important is the quality of the work.  I'm 100% satisfied with all my ink & piercing.  Can't say enough good things about Michael and his shop!  As a courtesy to him, I always pay in cash, but he does accept cards.  (All the times I've gone for a tattoo, he's given me a final price, then I run to the ATM, withdraw what I need, then run back to the shop). I went in to get a nose piercing a little while ago and it turned into a diaster. The piercer seemed to have very little knowledge about the piercing when I was asking questions and when he eventually pierced me he put a stud in that was way too small for my nose so it did not even come all the way through my nostril. My skin had healed over it and I had to go to another piercing place and get new jewelry and spend more money on something that should have been taken care of in the first place when he saw that the jewelry was not all the way through. Had to get my tattoo redone at another shop after having it done here. Line work was bad & had no creative style. Basically looks like it was traced from a google image. Also was made aware tonight, due to my tattoo being done heavy handed from Mike, I now have some scar tissue due to this shop. This was my first tattooso I had no idea of the aftercare process, so after my tattoo was finished I asked about aftercare, and was basically told put this on it tonight and any other questions just look online. Also tried to pay by card, when I was told strictly that cash is preferred. Only had half cash, so the remainder was put on a card. In comparison, the shop I want to to have my tattoo repaired/saved, allowed me to pay by card with no issue, had a consultation with me first, completed my tattoo wonderfully, and then gave me a whole brochure on aftercare. My new artist has redone many of peoples tattoos that were done at Main Line with similar issues. Don't waste your money here, spend a few more dollars and go to a real professional. I am not at all a person to write negative reviews, but I don't want someone else to be in the same boat I was, having to pay more to have your tattoo repaired then the actual tattoo. This place is everything I wanted it to be and more! My friend and I came here for piercings and both of us could not be happier with our results. We were so kindly greeted when we entered the door and proceeded to tell the woman at the front desk what we were looking for. I was interested in a cartilage piercing and my tragus, and my friend was interested in a nose piercing. All three procedures were as pleasant and painless as possible. Everything was clean and quick. The workers were extremely knowledgable and were sure to answer any questions we had. We paid in cash as they prefer cash over credit/debit. The woman at the front desk kept checking in on my friend and I to make sure we were feeling alright and were able to drive after the procedures. Hands down best experience I have ever had at a tattoo place! I drove 40 minutes to get there and I will continue to do so every time I want a piercing. Read Less

I came here for a piercing. It's a small place that you could easily miss driving down Route 30. I actually have many times but they were quick, friendly and reasonably priced. I got my tragus done for $50 including the jewelry-I opted for the hoop. They have a sign up that they prefer cash. I didn't have any on me but there were no complaints when I used my card. They made sure that I was comfortable and able to drive before I left. Overall a very good experience. Read Less

I've been going to Main Line Tattooing since 1997. Michael is an excellent tattoo artist and an overall great guy. He has patiently helped me design exactly what I wanted for all my tats. When I was 23, I met the owner, Michael Cox, as my sister was repiercing her belly button. He made a prediction,  stating that I'd be back. Odd to say. The very next weekend, I was in, getting my first tattoo, who had been done by Lisa Harrison, who also worked at the old shop.It's been nearly 17 years and, with the exception of 3 of my tattoos, the other 24 had been done in Mikey's shop. He's always friendly, courteous, and kind. Always willing to strike up a conversation while the electric needle is going, and he's been very reasonable for as long as I've known him. A great artist and an even better friend. Once he inks you, you're family. Highly recommended, always clean, sterilize the hell out of everything. If you go on a Saturday,  call first to check his availability. If possible, go during the week. Read Less
