Went in to Raw Power for my first tattoo and was pretty nervous. I walked in and spoke to Evan and he was extremely easy to talk to. I told him I wanted the logo of the band Fit For A King and the day of, he added his own twist on the logo and I'm sooo happy he did. It was a total surprise for me and I love it. What can I say. Kyle is the best. I have him working on my  Alice in Wonderland sleeve. His line work is so crispy creek and coloring is on fleek. I've spent numerous hours with him and he goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. I love to sit back and relax and let Kyle perfect his art. The staff is a great group of talented artists. One of the cleanest places I have been too. I got my first tattoo here on the 19th. I was lucky and didn't have to make an appointment but Matt could not have been any better with creating a custom tattoo on my budget. First of all, I'm disappointed more people don't leave reviews for this place that legitimately enjoys this place or have a legitimate reason to say these guys suck.I as well as a couple of close friends of mine (who actually recommended I go here) have had a lot of work done here. All the guys are fantastic to talk with and it's easy to get set up. They'll do what they can to work with your schedule, but you do gotta keep in mind that they get booked up pretty fast, so expect to wait a while depending on what artist you pick. Regardless, they're all worth it. Some of the shenanigans happens there keeps you entertained while you get your work done, and they'll talk you ear off (if you want to) to help distract you from those really annoying/painful parts. To the chick that wrote a bad review not based on anything of their work, but their payment system: How would you get your gift certificate and/or receipt if you paid over the phone? And why not get a new credit card, because it doesn't seem like yours is convenient enough to work anywhere. (Why should their machine be convenient for you?) Plus these guys can take cash, so if you just lost your credit card before paying or a truck ran over it, whatever, you can pay with good ol' greenback. Like I said before, these guys work with you. Sometimes you just gotta be willing to work with them a little bit too. Either way, this place is worth it, and way better than a majority of the places around here. Got a watercolor hummingbird tattoo done there recently by Ick Abrams! Everyone in there is very friendly, funny and polite! I love this place.  Paul Marino is my go-to tattooist; the 6-8 month waits for appointments with him are absolutely worth it.  He's a rare multi-faceted talent, friendly and professional.  He doesn't hesitate to tell you if a tattoo idea won't work well but is determined to reach a solution that you will love.  Paul has tattooed three of my concepts on to me and, each time, his input into my ideas has created gorgeous tattoos far superior to what I've been dreaming up for months or years.  The shop itself is always clean and inviting and the receptionist and other tattooists are a pleasure to talk to.  I cannot wait to get back in there with Paul for his next masterpiece. I love this shop. All of the guys who work here and passionate and talented, and I legitimately enjoyed getting my tattoo here. I was laughing so hard at some points, I was nervous that the tattoo would be messed up. I hear their artists are fabulous here, but an important issue you should be aware of... "The credit car machine we have doesn't let us manually punch the numbers in, it can only swipe". Translation : if you plan on using a credit card during your visit, and your card happens to not swipe properly, your screwed. I don't know why i haven't reviewed these guys until now, but better late than never right!?Okay, i LOVE the work these dudes do. They are all awesome. Everyone here is so cool and so down to earth, which is pretty rare in my experience when it comes to tattoo artists. Most of them think that they are god's gift to the world and have personalities comparable to a brick wall.Anyway! I had a tattoo done on my foot about a year to a year and half ago. I walked in, told the guy at the front desk my idea, and he hooked me up with one of the guys randomly and i made an appointment without even bothering to look at his work. (Which was pretty stupid and naive on my part, but hey! I ended up happy!) I ended up getting my tattoo done by Kyle. He was amazing. The whole time, Kyle and the guy at the front desk chatted with me and kept my mind off the fact that a needle was continuously stabbing my foot. They were so nice and so funny! Kyle's work is amazing, this kid's (and i say kid because he's surprisingly only 22-23 years old) work is unreal, i was so impressed with how perfectly it matched the vision in my head. I follow him on instagram too (@kylehediger) and i am just blown away by the work he puts out. He is incredibly talented in my opinion! I cannot wait for my next tattoo and there is no doubt in my mind, as soon as i decide on an idea, i'll be right back in Kyle's chair! Read Less

Every one in this shop is stellar and skilled beyond words. I chose Paul Marino to do my tattoo and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Everyone in the shop is very personable and fun. Tattoos are awesome but they sure as hell don't feel good to get and they try to make you feel as comfortable as possible while you're there. Whether it's putting on a movie, playing music or just shooting the breeze these guys will go above and beyond for you. More than your average walk-in tattoo AND piercing shop. I came to Raw Power to get my septum pierced by Dave. He was very clean and professional. The piercing came out perfectly; right in the sweet spot and straight as an arrow. Thanks, Dave!I don't have any tattoos at the moment, but would like some in the near future. While I was at the shop I did flip through Eddie's, Paul's, and Kyle's portfolio. They were very impressive. I studied illustration so I know bad art when I see it. I met Paul at a convention and was blown away by his work. I've since been to Raw Power to get seven or eight different pieces done by him. Kyle, Mike, Paul, and Drew are all friendly and awesome. Drew has pierced me numerous times and did an excellent ear project on me that I get compliments on constantly.  I really think that they charge a fair price and they are really very professional and fun to be around, which certainly adds to the painful experience of getting needles stuck in you.  I have never been anything less than extremely satisfied with the work with which I have left their shop.  Top marks guys. I've been there twice for piercing and have had a positive experience both times. I was just a walk-in to pierce my nose... all of the guys were friendly, just hanging out in the shop and I was waited on immediately. I plan to go back for a tattoo.. anyone else have any words of advice? Read Less

The best tattoo shop in this area, don't trust your skin to anyone else! Not only is everything clean, sterile and health department certified, the artists are an amazing group of talent. They're happy to do anything custom and they're friendly. Again, in this little pocket of Street Road/Bustleton Ave you will not find better tattoo artists. Read Less
