I've gone to Buddha's for all of my tattoos, except one, and would absolutely recommend them. Rob does phenomenal work. I appreciate his loyalty to his customers and his determination to ensure that his customers are getting the absolute best, even if it puts more work on himself. I would and will highly recommend Buddah's. I read a review where someone was complaining about her family not being allowed to "distract" her from the pain. I personally, appreciate the "Clear the Desk" rule (that is posted in the shop, so I'm not sure why this customer was shocked by it) - that rule ensures me that the artist isn't distracted by nonsensical conversations being yelled back an forth. If no stars were an option that's what I would give. Horrible experience with my piercings, not to mention the staff. I am a minor and was told I could not bring my mom back with me, after the fact I am assuming that was because it was an unprofessional environment. The worker continued to make dirty jokes about me and my belly button piercing. Was giving little to no information on care while it was healing, and what I was told to do was contradicting what every other place I heard from said. Wonderful experience! I got a inner lip tattoo here and it was very well done. Although, as any artist will tell you, they are not guaranteed to stay and will fade away. I was informed of this and understood completely! Part of my lip tattoo was a little thinner on one side than the other and I got it redone for free!! Just for having a good attitude when I first came in to get it done and understood that it was not the artist or my fault if the tattoo wouldn't fully stay! Just about all of my friends have told me how horrible this place was and how absolutely nothing good comes out of here. Well, unfortunately, I cannot stand with all of my friends with this one. I have been coming here for years and each visit is better than the last. The owner, Rob, and his wife, Danielle are phenomenal people. Not only are they friendly, hilarious and accommodating to people's lives, but Rob is an AMAZING artist. My piercings and tattoos from Buddha's have yet to have any negative feed back from anyone. I'm not too sure how much cleaner a tattoo shop can be, but I'm positive Buddha's exceeds the limitations. The atmosphere at this place is addicting as well as the positivity. First time in to Buddha's and the guy that met me (Pat) made me feel right at home. He had me stuck my tongue out before even giving me the paperwork to check my tongue before I wasted time and paper. Once I was done with the paperwork he took me back into a private room, because I wasn't getting any private areas pierced he left the door open. He made me feel better about having my tongue pierced. Answered all my questions and explained everything before doing anything. He washed his hands put gloves on every thing that touched my tongue or went through was clean. The "tongs" got put into a basket to be cleaned then be sterilized as soon as he was done and made I was happy with it. He said that because of the size of my tongue I had to go with a longer starter barbell but after it heals to go down to shorter one and if I went back in and bought it there they would have no problem changing it out and teaching me how to do it. My sister and I wanted a tattoo (her first) and since my husband and I were home visiting in upstate NY and after reading all the reviews online we decided to stop by the shop  to talk with Rob (the owner).We felt really comfortable that he knew exactly what we wanted that we booked an appointment for the next week.  The shop is really clean and he explains everything about the process that he answers any questions in my head without even asking them.He is talented, friendly, and makes you feel completely at ease.We will definitely be back for more in the future and it doesn't matter that it takes us over an hour one way to get to the shop....worth the money and worth the trip!!! I got my first tattoo done here and it was a fine experience.I was a bit apprehensive at first because I don't handle pain very well, and my artist was wearing Spongebob Pajama bottoms, but I had made up my mind and I wasn't turning back. I took a picture in with me, they shrank it down to an acceptable size, put it on my wrist and tattooed it on. Afterwards, my artist offered to "pretty it up" by adding some shading that hadn't been in the original photo and it turned out great.I am only giving 3 stars because the atmosphere was a bit cold and slightly unprofessional, but, the work was solid and they gave me adequate after care instructions. Make sure of the price you're paying. I was told one price by one person. A different person did the procedure and when they'd finished they charged me a price 40% higher. The person who had quoted the original price was nowhere to be found. Read Less
