It can be really difficult to find a shop you trust to put permanent ink on your body, but after reading a handful of reviews and checking out their work Crayons was the obvious choice. They were booked a few months ahead, but it was definitely worth the wait. Mike has been awesome to work with thus far and if you give him an idea of what you want and the freedom to design it you will not be disappointed. I'm working on a sleeve and the 6 hour sessions can get long but they put movies on to pass the time. Definitely sending all my friends here and I will be back again for sure. Read Less

My first and second tattoos were done at Island Ave tattoo. Then, my now husband, introduced me to Mike Reams at Crayons, where he got his tattoos done. I've had two tattoos done by James, both excellent. I've had 4 large pieces done by Mike. They are incredible!!! I will never go anywhere else. I highly recommend Crayons. Here is my review...Kelsey kicks ass...the end...or is it? To be perfectly fair I'm biased. Kelsey is the only artist that I've been to and I can personally say for my wife and myself that she does phenomenal work and will probably be the only artist I go to. To me personally she is the best...(again I'm biased) With that being said I have seen others get Ink done from Mike and James and their work also kicks ass. I mean after all it is Mikes shop and if his worked sucked he wouldn't be open still. Honestly though they all freakin' rock! They are all very talented and I highly recommend them. Read Less

Michael jus did my tattoo of my daughters name on my arm and it is simple but beautiful. I asked for elegant and he did jus that. He was very gentle and so easy to be around and talk to which made the process go by so quickly. he also stayed late to finish my tattoo. love this place and highly recommend it and Michael. I'm extremely happy with Crayons. I went to Kelsey for 1 tattoo on my foot and ended up liking it so much I got 2 more tattoos. She did a flower and lace on my foot and I went back within 4 months to have more flowers and lace added around my ankle. Kelsey did realistic flowers in color and sharp black lines in the lace and it looks awesome. I went back in June for a rose and lace on my shoulder and it's another great tattoo! So I have an appt. in August to add more roses!! The tattoo shop is very clean, very comfortable and I think everyone working there are really welcoming.
