I've been to Resolute twice now, and I've be completely satisfied with both occasions. John really does great work and makes sure it's something you're super pleased with. I had gotten a few smaller tattoos from Tucker, the apprentice, but when I decided to start my sleeve, Andy was the only guy I trusted with it. After a few sittings, I now have a gorgeous sleeve tattoo with shades of red that are so vibrant and smooth that they look like velvet. I get compliments on it everywhere I go, and it honestly looks like a real life masterpiece. Resolute Custom is a tattoo shop in a rather odd location on a back ally behind a bank off of Main Street in Clarion. Andy is a good enough artist, he does pretty impressive portraits. The only reason he loses two stars is because of his attitude and the way he treats his clients as well as his competition. He tends to slander other shops and artists, and he has blamed clients for his mistake of putting a completed design on backwards. But the work that he does accomplish correctly is generally very good, and by all means the best in Clarion county. One problem I've heard from people who have sat for him is that he changes the original work that they want to something that fits him, it's not always necessarily what looks best on the body but just so it's changed to his design. He changed my design when he worked at a different shop which was religious and completely changed the meaning of my tattoo. Nothing I can do now. The sitting fee is also the highest in the county, but if money is of no issue to you, this shouldn't be a problem. The only time I see the sitting price being a problem is a quarter sized tattoo could cost the same price as one five times bigger that takes an hour simply because the sitting price is the same as one full hour of work. Regardless, Resolute Custom is your best bet for getting a tattoo in Clarion. Just don't have too many opinions and make sure your tattoo is on correctly before he starts tattooing. And try not to listen to the slanderous things he says about his competition. It's all bull and he's just trying to feed his ego and win over clients. Read Less
