I got a tattoo there yesterday the tattoo is beautiful this will be my 5th one this is the first time I've ever been to true blue I have to say the tatto artist Kamallah was excellent! the whole experience was wonderful and the tattoo is the best out of all that I have it is it is beautiful everyone loves it I have only great things to say about true blue tattoo and my artist that did my tattoo Kamallah Smith ( sorry about the spelling of 1st name) was the best EXCELLENT!! I have been getting tattoos for many years now. They are very nice when you come in the shop but when you call and try to make an appointment they seem to be to busy for you. Then if you go in and set up an appointment they text you the day of and cancel. Now realizing i have given a 50 dollar deposit for my appointment and it take forever to get the your Artist to get back to you if they do at all. I have had work done there but it is always a struggle to get something done there. There are plenty of other shops that will want your business so do your homework and find a good shop not this one. I had a tribal piece on my forearm that I was looking to "soften" for quite some time. I researched the artists and ultimately chose Jerome Taylor. Now, the forearm hibiscus that started it all, is slowly but surely becoming a right arm sleeve, to include: plumeria, lotus, peacock feather, another hibiscus, and it's still going. I certainly didn't plan it that way, but was so impressed by the realistic coloring and detail, that we just kept going. The atmosphere is professional, clean, fun, creative, and you can absolutely feel the family vibe between the artists. I had a drawing my father who passed away drew that I found in his sketch book. It is a very special piece and I wasn't letting just anyone do that piece on me, I chose Cody to do the piece for me bc not only Is he a friend of mine but I love his work! I love Tru Blu Tattoo. Everyone in there is so nice and they make you feel right at home. I got tattoo's from 2 artists in there Kamala and Jerome. Kamala helped me dream up my one tattoo and make it reality. She did such and amazing job on my sugar skull girl (who I call Betty ) and Jerome helped me with a unique way of showing of both my daughters birthdates in roman numeral number. I traveled here about a month ago and couldn't have had a better experience. After seeing some of Cody's work at a tattoo expo in WV, I chose him for the project. He did an amazing job at not only executing a great tattoo, but he also kept me comfortable and entertained for the 2 days that I was there. Everybody at the shop was great and made me and my friends feel right at home. Cody has done 5 of my tattoos so far. And each more incredible than the last. I get compliments almost every day for my finger tattoo which seems so simple to me compared to the 3 bigger ones on my legs. He's insanely talented for how young he is and I know he's just going to get better and better, if that's even possible!!! Rudest people ever! I have extreme PTSD from being shot point blank range and I have an episode and got kicked out of my house and felt very sick from the episode and the anxiety so I went to this tattoo shop to use their bathroom because I've gotten two tattoos from here before and I live right down the street and from what I remembered they were very kind and caring people.....but apparently 5 minutes in the bathroom is way too long so the lady that owns the shop her name is Jackie Jennings she pounded on the door as hard as she could multiple times making my episode from the PTSD worse......and then she started yelling and cursing and then when I came out I was already embarrassed and their was a spray bottle and paper towels and she said "that's so you can clean the bathroom and make sure it's F**king spotless......so she made me clean her entire bathroom while her and the rest of the artist cursed at all while I did it and said some hurtful things in front of all of the customers.......and the thing is I didn't even use the bathroom! I was just throwing some water on mh face and trying to calm myself down.......this was one of the most embarrassing and hurtful things that has ever happened to me.......I'm 20 years old and I got two tattoos here when I turned 20, I will never return here ever again I won't even walk past this shop ever again, also I even helped Jackie carry in slot of boxes last time I got a tattoo here and the guy that did my last tattoo even joined in and called me a POS.......deffinently one of the most uncalled for, embarrassing, and hurtful moments of my life!
