I went in there on a whim with my two friends for my birthday to get piercings. Everyone in there were really cool and Faye made us feel like family for the short time we were there. What a great shop, full of great artists, who are also awesome people!! As someone who has gotten work done in multiple shops both in this area and not, I gotta say this is one of the best I've ever been to! I came on Friday the 13th for the Flash sheet tattoos. The wait was long but I expected that. The staff was great with keeping everyone entertained and happy during the wait. My tattoo artist was Kelly "skunk". She was amazing and reassured me that it wouldn't be painful. I don't think I can ever get tattooed anywhere else but here! They treat you like family. So my sister in law and I decided to get Friday the 13th tattoos here. We got there at 2 and got our ticket number and hung out for awhile, talked to some pretty cool people and waited to get our stuff done. There was about 70 people in front of us when we left and by the time we got back a couple hours later, they had already gotten through most of them! They were already past our number! But K8, or Keight, or Kate (however she likes to spell it!) was super awesome and squeezed us right back in no problem! And she was extremely helpful all day even though there were butt loads of people there! She rocked and my tattoo artist was pretty rad too! I went to flash effects in hopes that I could get an old tattoo covered. I hated this Tattoo from the beginning. I went to a few Tattoo shops in the past in hopes I could get this mouse covered, but I was not happy with the answers or the technique they wanted to use. I went and talked with Carl at Flash effects. He was very confident he could not only cover it, but also make it look good. I was amazed at the great job he did and I love the beautiful wolf that he drew. I never knew a cover up could look this good. I highly recommend Flash effects, if you want a tattoo that you can be proud of; Carl is the man to see. Carl is not only an awesome artist; he is easy to talk to, he listens to how you picture your tattoo. If he thinks it may need a little something, he tells you and draws it up to make sure you will be happy with it. I never wanted a second tattoo, but Carl did an awesome job on my cover up, that I am excited to see what he will do with my second tattoo.
