I have been visiting this shop (including the old location) for a couple of years now. Everyone is friendly and cool. The pricing is more than reasonable. I'd actually call it a steal but don't tell them! The shop is clean, the artists are extremely talented and honest. Since I am a bit of a veteran let me give a few tips... 1) Patience. If you are like me, this is easier said than done. I remember when I found my artist there (Ken Kile,) it was literally after years of searching the web for someone with his art style and ability. IMHO, I don't believe there is another artist as talented as him in the continental US. Being talented, Ken is booked up for the foreseeable future and the best way to get on the schedule is to email him what you like. One email will do. He is very busy so give him time to respond. This is coming from a guy who pestered him in the beginning. I was just so anxious after all the searching I could barely contain myself. Don't be me, they will get back to you. 2) Don't haggle or argue over how much a piece of permanent art is. These guys are more than fair and talented, so are their prices for their hard work. Remember, they have spend years/decades learning their craft and I always overhear them discussing new equipment and ink, always in search of better tools of the trade. The ink and equipment they use are top quality and not cheap. You can ask their hourly rate but don't insult them and tell them about your guy who gives out bargains for their work. It's insulting. 4) Take a shower before coming and if needed, shave the area where the work is going to be placed. 5) Don't show up with more than one person unless they have an appointment too. The shop is very large but it's still a place of work and art. Do you like being watched while you work? It's OK to be nervous and if you need ONE person to hold your hand that's cool. You want to make it comfortable for your artist so he can work his magic. 6) Email your artist a picture or drawing of what you intend to get tattooed and let them take over from there. These guys know what will look good where and will do a better job if you don't dictate. Explain what you would like, what you dislike and let go. This is another item I humbly admit I failed on twice, and both times I have regretted it. Ive had 3 pieces done by Ken. The shop is always clean and professional. Ken is an absolutely amazing artist who inspires you to want even more work done. He is alsovery humble about his work. I get so many compliments on my dream catcher. Invicta is definitely one of the best tattoo shops in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Every artist there has grade A work and they're all big sweethearts, especially Ken Kile. He's definitely the go to for any black and grey realism. His full books speak for themselves, but he's absolutely worth the wait. Went yesterday just to get a quote and they were able to get me in today for my tattoo. Very friendly staff, great detailed work. Jay was the one who did my tattoo. After moving from Florida, it was hard to find a new spot for ink. As of yesterday I found it. Usually you come across places where you can tell they are trying to be nice so you'll give them your money. But these guys are down to earth. And awesome. They were friendly and professional. Usually tattoos are a long drawn out process and by the time you're halfway through getting inked you're ready to go home. Not here, they put a movie on, cracked some jokes. It was a good ti...me, all the artists were friendly, would strike up a conversation, I felt bad because I couldn't remember their names because they all were friendly and would talk! They wouldn't keep to their little space and make you feel awkward and intimidated like some spots. hell, I probably would of stayed longer and had more of my piece done if I didn't have to get back home to my family. Mark is a great artist, he took the time to make sure everything was how I wanted it, made suggestions when needed. Mark gave my sister and I tattoos of a quote our mom always said to us before she passed away. I brought him a piece of paper with it on it in her handwriting and it's perfect. I've been getting my work done by Ken for awhile now. I had some previous tattoos he's add to, and fixed up. I enjoy my time there. Everyone is real chill and laid back. Went here for a cartilage piercing. Guy put in a curved barbell. This is a major no no in general for piercings, known to anyone who takes them seriously in the business. He managed to sneak it in, despite prior to the piercing our discussion about my previous bad experience and how bad they are for ear healing. On top of that, it was externally double balled (CHEAP!). Again, not recommended. My ear freaked out within a week, as predicted. Anyone who knows piercings (especially due to personal experience) would consider this a piercing nightmare and I couldn't recommend less. If a tattoo parlor doesn't want to do piercings or take them seriously it should not offer them. Read Less
