Got my first tattoo here actually. It was kind of a scary experience when you are new, but exciting at the same time. Right away they made me feel comfortable and I knew that they were professionals. The answered any questions I had and even went into how their equipment works. I thought it was really cool they spent the time to make me feel comfortable, especially considering my tattoo at the time wasn't the biggest or most expensive thing. It took me 30 years get a tattoo. My best friend is tattooed top to bottom and she recommended these guys. I got my first tattoo by Elvis. He is fast, funny, and a great artist. He didn't charge me much and was very professional. So I came back and started a sleeve with John. He is the sweetest tattoo artist. I was a little hesitant considering I wanted an Alice in Wonderland theme and all I saw were skulls and "tradtional tattoo ideas"...all of which were great designs... I am still not dissapointed. I was tattooed by Elvis here and it was much like the experience described by the other dissatisfied client here. Constant complaining and cold uncaring attitude. Not to mention the constant distraction of his phone, texting the whole time through the first sitting which ultimately ended with him not finishing the outline in the first sitting. It healed very poorly. Very uneven with a lot of heavy scabbing and scarring resulting in uneven color and raised patches. If that wasn't bad enough, the second sitting was a complete and utter disaster. Starting two hours late, and then dealing with personal matters on his phone while attempting to prepare for my session. He rushed through the rest of the tattoo and scribbled the color in like a 4 year old with a fresh pack of markers. Completely muddying all of the detail that wasn't ruined by scarring. I tried to talk about what I wanted and all I got was attitude. When I asked about getting it fixed a few days later, he told me he was a confident artist and had no clue what I was talking about (heavily paraphrasing) then proceeded to send me a very long text personally attacking me. A complete waste of my time and money. He should not be tattooing people. EXTREMELY unprofessional I could go on for hours about how awful it was. I was very disappointed with my tattoo from Elvis at Steel City.My design was very detailed, and he did a phenomenal job on the outline. However, he openly expressed how annoying it was too do the outline.I'm so sorry I'm "annoying".When I went back to get the color, his attitude was the same.  Like it was so annoying to him.  I hated his manor. Not friendly or approachable.The worst part was how the color came out. He missed spots! There are parts where he didn't fill in. But the worst part was how it healed. I have over $2000 worth of  beautiful tattoos on my body, so I know how to take care of them.  This scaring was caused by him.  After doing research and talking with other tattoo artists, my scarring was due to him holding the needle incorrectly.  As a result, my skin is puckered like a scar and the color is dull and uneven.  I cannot express how devastated I am.On the other hand I got a simple tattoo by Jay who works there and it's awesome. This place seriously needs more tips! I got my tattoo here last week after an intensive research of parlours in the area. And it definitely won. The place is clean, the people are friendly. There aren't weird smells like smoke or anything. Just ink. They have put a lot of effort to make it look like it should look: professional. When a 16 year old wants a belly ring, what's a mother to do? Look for a GOOD body piercer. Jason is the BEST. He is meticulous and took the time to read my kid the riot act about how to take care of her piercing. When it did get slightly infected, he spent an hour with her (at no charge) to clean it and make it right. After over a year, it looks great. He did the cartiledge at the top of her ear as well. If you are thinking of taking your kid to the mall to have that done, PLEASE reconsider and do your research. You'll see it's best to let a professional do it. Read Less
