I called the place, they said they were taking walk-ins. I show up and they firmly stated they "didnt get any calls" from anyone asking that (and i read their number out loud to them confirming the call). About 10 frustrating minutes later an older man gives me a tattoo. it has been a month and It appears to be bruised (blue color under tattoo), but it is a tattoo blowout, which another artist explained to me happens when the artist uses the wrong needles for a sensitive area and puts too much pressure on it. It has been many years since I got my last tat, but I was very ready for my next piece. My way of finding an artist is to ask people whose ink I like where they got the work done, and by which artist. That's how I found Street Road No Scratch Tattoos. One note: When you drive to No Scratch, be aware that there is another tattoo shop on the same street several blocks away. I initially pulled into the wrong shop, so check the address carefully.The shop itself is spacious, fun, and absolutely spotless. I arrived slightly early for my appointment, and found that the artist that I had selected and made the appointment with was out sick. After a brief internal debate (I was REALLY ready to get this piece done), I decided to see if any of the other artists were available. Lady luck was smiling at me that day, because Mo Mags (Monica), had an opening and could squeeze me in. Mo was extremely attentive to what I wanted, and she made multiple adjustments to the design to ensure that it was exactly perfect. The price she quoted was extremely fair, and her work came out beautifully. Mo's attention to detail and absolutely sterile work ethic is both impressive and very reassuring. I absolutely couldn't be happier with my new ink, and have already started working with Mo for my next piece. Mo is professional, extremely talented, fun, and she made the experience a pleasure. I went here for my first tattoo and my artist Boo was fantastic. He was so understanding and helped me figure out what would look best. i had a very rough skept of what i wanted but it looks so much better on my back! I will be going to him again and again. He understood the little bit of fear in the first tattoo because I didn't know what to expect but he had me talking and laughing most of the way through. As soon as I went in everybody makes you feel comfortable and everybody willing to help but I had a great experience meeting Scooter and my Dad recently passed away and my Mom passed five years ago and I was going to get the normal cross or folding hands and Scooter suggested something to remember happy times and I said they loved church and the casino. She said give me a few minuites to think and within 30 I was on the table and she freehanded a slot machine with roserys. She was actually interested in making this tattoo a special one and she did. She also touched up an older on and added some flare to it. I brought a freind with me and she worked with Fred on and idea and she left feeling like he was very helpfull. I WENT THERE WITH A CRAPPY TATTOO ON MY LEFT SHOULDER THAT I HAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HATED IT SINCE THE DAY I GOT IT, I WANTED A KOI FISH AND LOTUS FLOWER OVER IT BUT WASN'T SURE IF IT WAS EVEN POSSIBLE. This place is a great place for your ink. I just recieved a Tribal/Polynesian tattoo from Fred and it was incredible. It was done all freehand and it was very impressive. Nothing like drawing lines freehand on a arm and it comes out like true art. Fred is not just a tattooist but a gifted artist. Very clean shop and great atmosphere. i went there the first time and got a tribal symbol on my back or a ""tramp stamp"" and the guy was too busy worrying about getting home to his wife, he rushed it came out really bad, its uneven i regret it and now i have to get it covered up. I ended up going back to a different tattoo artist though and i got a tattoo on my ankel, which he drew out himself, he did a awsome job, and 5 years later it still looks great. I dont think he is working there anymore, but make sure the artist acually wants to spend the time on your tattoo and look at his artwork, and ask around. dont just go to someone you never met before, i regret it. the guy that did my tat on my ankel ended up doing my shoulder and my hip. Not worth your time and money. I went there because my friend got theirs done there and it looked good. I asked for her tattoo artist. I made an appt, left a deposit and came back at that time. That's were it all went bad. He never drew the piece up so he did a quick job. He wouldn't put it where I org. wanted it so I choose another spot. I did NO paperwork at all. What he showed me to approve and what was tattooed were too different things. After it was all done he just covered it up. I had to tell him I wanted to look at it. It was still bleeding, black from the ink and red and he was rushing me out. Then he told me the price without deducting my deposit. I thought that was kind of shady. But I still tipped him a LARGE amount. I went home and cleaned it up. It didn't look like the picture I brought in. SO I figured that he could touch it up a little maybe (20 minute of work) and I would be happy. Well he said I approved the drawing and there was nothing he could do about it. If I said something that night then he could do something... He would have to charge me a setup fee. WHAT IS THAT?? I'm not happy and he said o well not my problem. I have other tattoos and I've never been treated like this. Goes to show never go to places you haven't been before!!!! I have another piece I wanted them to do which will end up over a $1000.00 but after that I will never go back. I'm going to K & B in Hightstown, NJ where he will take care of me and make sure I'm happy! Read Less
