I have been coming to the Quillian for 10+ years now. Steve does all of my work. He is the owner and the coolest guy you'll ever meet. He is a fantastic artist, his tattoo work is top notch, and he is quite a conversationalist! I have checked out the other Quillian artists on social media and admire their work, as well. I’ve never enjoyed having a needle shoved into my body by anyone before. Desiree was so sweet and thorough when she was doing my piercing. She explained things ahead of time and joked with me before/during/after. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a piercing chair. i took my wife to get a piercing and just because she didn't know fluent English they refused to do it. keep in mind she can hold a conversation with a fluent English person but she has a Spanish accent and also am a fluent English talking person and offered to translate and make sure she understands everything. i had the feeling they were a little racist because we were Hispanic more to her because she didn't know fluent English. so we left and went to a couple different shops near by and told them what happen and the couldn't believe it.. I have only ever gotten piercings here (no tattoos), but Desiree is a godsend. She's the best. She makes you feel very comfortable and makes the whole experience pleasant. I've had several piercings from her that I have never had issues with. She also picks the best, proper-fitting jewelry that is comfortable and appropriate for healing. I got pierced elsewhere one time and I kick myself for it because Desiree would have done a better job without a doubt. I got my belly button ring pierced here, and it got so infected. They pierced me with a very curved belly ring and I had to get it changed... I spent $62 at this place just to spend another $20 to get it fixed. Never going back. Read Less

After years of having work done by a bunch of different artist, I have found my permanent artist and his name is Jay. The whole shop is clean and everyone is super accommodating.  Highly recommend the quillian for anyone wanting to get some ink. Sadly this place isn't what it's cracked up to be. My wife first came to The Quillian over a year ago to get me a birthday gift card! Super excited as there one of the shops in the Valley that has come highly recommended. Went in a couple months later and tried to set up an appointment with one of the artists. Came in prepared with pictures and very specific ideas and placement. I tried to make an appointment by was told to call later in the week to speak to the artist. Wouldn't let me or a deposit down to simply hold the time slot .Fast forward a year or so and decide I'm going to use the gift card as well as treat my best friend to a birthday tattoo! I decide I'm going into the shop again this time -- thinking if I speak FACE TO FACE with someone I can set up a double appointment and or back to back appointment. Go there this past week around 6:30pm and happily found the shop was filled-- proceeded to spend the next 15 mins talking to whoever was at the front desk -- he clearly could see I'm heavily tattooed . I was prepared! Brought pictures/ specific styles/ communicated clearly as to what we want --- First it was " well we need to know what it is you want " "how big & where" -- fine -- typical chit chat to be efficient I explained what we were looking for -- he then went in the back to the artist and reiterated everything I told him -  I was then told to email a more precise idea to the email on the business card and someone would get back to me. He wouldn't book a time because we weren't clear on the idea -- I even said " I want to put money down to hold the spot for Saturday" -- and he refused!!!!  So I took a deep breath and walked out TODAY I proceeded to email them with description/size/style/placement/ etc --- after emailing twice I got an email stating that the ARTIST would be OK to do the tattoo with some color and some of the items we requested but not the entire idea( included a banner and wording) I have NEVER HAD AN ARTIST decide it was 'OK' to do the work--- nor have I ever had such a problem trying to GIVE MY MONEY TO A BUSINESS FOR THIS DAMN LONG!!! --- unbelievably frustrating and honestly if their artists are ABOVE doing a tattoo (which is in memory) no matter what the design is -- then this is NO PLACE I want to give my hard earned money too! anybody wanna buy a gift card !? I went to The Quillian for the first time in 2012 on my twenty-third birthday. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt instantly comfortable and welcomed! The studio is spotless; the artists are polite and very well-kept.My intention going there was to have my septum pierced.. which lead me to meet Desiree. SO laid-back, friendly, and just a cool girl! For a moment, I felt like I was reuniting with a long lost friend. She did a great job answering any questions I had going in, and also did a great job with my piercing. I have only been to Quillian once, but it was a very good experience. I had to wait 3 days for an appointment, but that isn't nearly as long as some shops will make you wait, and it was well worth it. The artists are polite and friendly. My tattoo was very reasonably priced, and Jay executed it exactly as I wanted. The shop is clean, bright and well-maintained. My only qualm is that I was told to moisturize my healing tattoo with regular hand moisturizer, which you should never do because it draws the color right out. After that I was slightly skeptical of their knowledge, but I got a bangin tattoo out of it, so I'm not too mad at it. Read Less

My first trip to The Quillian was well over 13 years ago.  The only thing that has changed is they moved up to the second floor.  Listen, if you want a professional staff with a clean studio and talented artists then this has to be your first stop.  Don't get discouraged if you need to wait.  There is a reason you may have to wait - they're that good.  Sometimes I wait weeks; months.  Its worth it.  Best advice is if you have a project or multiple pieces try to book in advance as many as you can. Love this place.  Felt welcomed the second I walked in the door, and I am pretty straight-laced.  Usually I get sideways looks when I go into tattoo shops, but these guys are so friendly.  The place is very clean, and the artists are very well-kept.  No scruff in this place.  Steve did my tattoo, it was a simple piece and he was more than happy to do it.  He was super nice, pleasantly chatty and made me feel very comfortable.Pricing is very reasonable.  They created a custom piece, sized it exactly how I asked and gave their artistic input to make it even better.  These guys are true artists.I will definitely be coming here again. While I'm no expert on piercing and tattoo parlors of the area, I'd highly recommend Quillian. It was spotlessly clean and they used extra precautions with stuff such as latex allergies, hygiene procedures, and the customer's well-being.
