Rude, unprofessional, lazy, and not creative About 5 years ago, I went to her with a design in mind and she talked me out of it but I'm realizing now it was only due to her lack of capability. We ultimately agreed on a simple flower design I had also been considering. When I went back to her to add on to it (because it looks ridiculous on its own) she was very rude and unprofessional, pushing our appointment back for weeks multiple times after I had already given a deposit. W...hen I finally came in for an appointment she was working with someone else and asked me to wait almost TWO HOURS! I was just excited it was finally happening so I did. When it was finally my turn, she still had to sketch out my design (Real original artist right?). She then proceeds to literally roll her eyes when I took a second to consider the placement of the piece on my thigh. I gave up my deposit and walked out on the spot. Unprofessional and rude. First, my initial appointment was disappointing. I brought in a sample design, which Wendi immediately said, ‘no’ to. Due to her unwillingness to work with me and my design, in addition to her attitude, I caved and asked for something simple. Later, when I requested to see the progress of the design, she informed me that she’d bring it to my appointment. Wendi brought an unfinished design to my appointment, complaining about not knowing what to do f...or my requested design. She placed the design – for the first time I had ever seen it – and did not ask whether I liked it or not. Due to the fact I was laying down, I couldn’t see the progress of the tattoo until it was too late. She did an atrocious job blending the color and was annoyed with me when I asked her to change something. At the end, she covered my tattoo with a loose paper towel and masking tape. She did not give me any information for how to take care of my tattoo and in leaving, she stated that she hoped she wouldn’t have to do a touch up. Additionally, during the appointment I was very uncomfortable due to Wendi complaining about personal topics like family, work, and other tattoo artists she knows. She did not ask me, at any time, how I was doing. I cried immediately after removing the paper towel seeing, and being utterly disappointed in, what I paid over three hundred dollars for. Because the tattoo looks awful, I sent her a message asking to schedule my free touch up. Now, after two weeks, she has not responded to my request. I am appalled at her lack of professionality, I hate my tattoo and have consequently scheduled a removal appointment. Be sure to speak up for yourself because Wendi Kai doesn’t care.
