Drove in from Beaverton to take advantage of their waived piercing fee ($30) on my 18th birthday! The store was very clean and spacious with glass displays for the jewelry. We were helped out immediately and after I decided on which piercings I wanted to get done, (double helix) the girl at the front helped me pick out jewelry and answered any questions I had. I ended up choosing a gorgeous BVLA citrine earring and a more affordable smaller  Neometal stud for the bottom piercing. After having my ID checked and signing the forms I went into one of the rooms where my piercer Jay had the sterilized jewelry and needles prepared. First, little guiding marks were drawn so I could see the placement. He explained the process clearly and asked if I had any questions (which at that point I didn't) before piercing. Throughout it all Jay was very calm and reassuring. It was my first time having piercings done with a needle but like he said, it was a manageable slight pinch. When we went in a guy wrote up the paper work. Piercing X 2 =$20 and barbells X 2 =$50. (i though 50 was outrageous for 2 studs and 4 plastic balls). After jen did the piercings she rang it up at $120 so I pointed out the paper work said the total was $70. She then told me the paper work was wrong and the barbells are $50 each ( that is 1 stud & 2 plastic balls for $50) when I tried to argue the price she said shy could remove the piercing and we could go some where else it we did not like the price. I have literally never had a good experience at a High Priestess anywhere. But. It has been about 10 years since I have been in one, and I thought I would give them another chance. I went in to ask if they could change my nose ring for me. I already have the jewelry, I just can't make myself take it out. They won't unless it's something purchased from them. There is no reason they can't clean it, charge $10, make you sign a waiver, and put the jewelry in. That's what other places do. High Priestess just wants you to spend an ungodly amount of money on the exact same thing from them so they get the profit. Absolutely wonderful piercing & tattoo studio. It's bright inside, with a comfortable layout, good waiting area, convenient Flash wall with stools to sit while perusing the Artist's portfolios. The last time I visited, the countergirl seemed new to the position, & a little scatterbrained. She couldn't quite grasp the implications of my Blindness. That's OK, though. Jay, whom I'd never worked with, changed my nose ring quickly & painlessly. He was Extremely friendly, funny, helpful, & understanding of my disability. I actually drive an hour up to this location to see Flicka, who is an absolute genius, and I seriously doubt I will ever go to another tattoo artist. She always seems to know exactly what I want, despite the fact that I'm terrible at explaining things. She did a large fox tattoo on me, and a sea dragon on my husband, both fully colored and both incredible. The shop itself is clean and staffed by a ton of friendly, happy, fun to be around folks. Went in yesterday and got my daith pierced. Initially went in with 4 people all of us getting pierced and we were done in about a half hour. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE my piercing. The only thing I would say was an issue is I'm definitely a bleeder and I had to travel back home from the location which is about a 45 minute drive. I asked for a q-tip so I could get the blood that I felt had filled up the inside of my ear and was unfortunately told I "didn't need one because it had st...opped bleeding" which is not the reason I asked for it but for not causing the additional pressure to my eardrum because of the amount that it bled. So that was unfortunate that I couldn't get a q-tip from them and had to go to sallys to get a box of them. Jay pierced my nipples for me and did a wonderful job!! They are perfectly straight and aligned with each other, and they look amazing!! The whole shop was clean, the ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful, but I think Jay was definitely the best thing there! Of course getting your nipples pierced hurts, but he did it super quickly. He was completely professional the whole time, which made me feel super comfortable about having my breasts out. I went to get my daith pierced. I was just a walk in and I have a lot of piercings but I don't do super well with the actual procedure. Jay was quick, kind and cleanly! I appreciated his sincerity and understanding. I am someone that suffered from migraines, I heard about the piercing and decided to go. Flicka is amazing! I gave her a fairly vague idea of what I wanted and gave her some artistic freedom, and she absolutely floored me. Her work is beautiful and so unique. I scheduled a consult for measurements and changes (although I didn't need any changes - it was perfect from the start) and we ended up doing all of the linework the same day. It only took her about an hour and a half for linework on almost my entire upper arm, and it was barely even painful because she has such a delicate hand. Saturday, I went in for a verticle labret piercing and I brought in my 2 young kids. Front desk lady (it's a shame I can not recall her name) was an absolute doll and took her time helping me pick out jewelry and do paperwork. Went back to get pierced by Aileen and the front desk offered my kids suckers to keep them occupied through the process and Aileen did not seem to mind them, but rather embraced them to the point of entertaining my daughter with her game of 20 questions! Brought my daughter here to get her ears pierced about a month ago. Absolutely loved the staff and everyone was super happy and informative. Everyone was super supportive of my daughter's ear piercing being her choice because shes not quite 4 years old yet. I got a helix piercing by Ari, he was very friendly and made me feel at ease from the moment I stepped into the shop. The shop itself is very clean and organized. I walked in asking about pricing and he immediately answered every single one of my questions effectively and politely. Even though I've had my spetum pierced before and am pretty familiar with how piercings go, when I asked him if the piercing was going to be painful he always reassured me it was going to be a breeze and to not worry. The procedure was very quick and surprisingly pretty painless for me. All the equipment was brand new and opened in front of me, the area of my ear where the piercing was going to go was disinfected/cleaned. He then asked me to take a deep breath in and breathe out, but before I breathed out he pushed the needle through and the piercing was done, which I actually preffered not knowing when the needle was going through! Then the jewelry was inserted and tightened, which was also very painless, he is very lighthanded. The piercing was $30, and the basic silver jewelry $15, I also used the awesome $5 coupon from Yelp, bringing my total to $40. I frequently visit this shop for all tattoos and piercings I get. Their jewelry is super high quality and they have an amazing variety for anyone's interests. Whitney (gal in the front) is chipper and very knowledgeable. They remember your face when you come in which is a really nice feeling. I have been pierced by both Aileen and Danny. Both are good at what they do. Aileen is incredibly friendly and efficient. She is very enthusiastic and i always try to go in while she's working. I've had three tattoos done by Curby, he has quite the personality... kept me laughing and joking around the whole time. OVERPRICEDI went to High Priestess to get my daughters nose pierced yesterday. It was $32 for the piercing and $30 for the jewelry.  Today a friend told me she got hers done the same day for $40 total cost.So I decided to call Addictions and Jori Zans to get a price to see if I had been overcharged. I found out that Addictions offers free piercing with jewelry purchase, which starts at $25. I called Jori Zans to find out that they charge $40 to pierce and the jewelry is included free.Indeed I was overcharged by $22 to $43 more than other shops in town.Of course people will say.. 'well High Priestess must do a better job', I can tell you from first hand experience that Addictions and Jori Zan are both reputable and great places. I have had several piercings from both of those shops with great outcome and also some tattoo work at Addictions.So I paid extra... for what? Am I paying for their franchise name? Seriously why the huge price difference? High Priestess is overpriced without a good reason.The service was fine, our piercer was nice... but not better or nicer than the other 2 local less expensive shops. I will not return! Read Less

Mother daughter tattoos.  Simple. How simple?! ...pick up a thick marker, draw a heart vertically, draw a horizontal infinity sign, that's it. (Honestly...Copy machine & stencil, no designing) We walk in about 3-3:15pm on a Monday afternoon and received a quote. (No other clients there at that time). Higher in price than the other shops we checked ($20-40 more) but why not since she could do it that day @  5:30.  They ask for a deposit, so we pay $40 each and secure our appointment.  We showed up 45 minutes early and she was working on another girl. NEVER mentioned that she may run late. Then as she conversed with her client, we put together the conversation: that her 3:00 cancelled so she took on, what she quoted as a 2.5-3 hour job around 3:45.  Yeah...she didn't get done until well after 7:00pm!!!!!!  If her 3 o'clock appt cancelled, why didn't she go ahead and take on our 2 small tattoos first!!?? REALLY!!  OUR PHONE NUMBER WAS ON THE DEPOSIT and we made it clear we would be nearby!!  If we hadn't signed the paperwork for the deposit I would NOT have stayed.  Jessica was happy and upbeat, and did a great job on both tattoos but the customer service is lacking.  And still was charged $60 each for the 2 VERY SIMPLE tattoos.  The tattoo before us was very detail oriented, large, redesigned and she wasn't charged that much.  Our tattoos took about 15 minutes each. I took my younger cousin here for her birthday to get her bellybutton pierced. It looks amazing, healed perfectly and she absolutely loves it. I also got both of my tragus' pierced and my nostril as well the healing time is so much shorter than any other piercing I've got. She does it unbelievably fast, and she knows what she's doing! I do not get tattoos or peircings and am afraid of these types of places! I went to High Priestess just to look around and get a feel for the shop and the people. When I walked in I was very impressed with their selection of jewelry and with how helpful the staff were. There were also very friendly, they didn't treat me like I was just someone they wanted to get money from, they treated me like I was a friend. Very welcoming. When I got my piercings, I was really worried at first but the piercer, Ed, was SUPER nice, really helpful and definitely calmed my nerves entirely.
