I visited Opal Ink today for the first time to be tattooed by Emily! I have been waiting a long time to come here, and every single expectation I had was exceeded. The shop itself is cozy, beautiful, and homey. The gals who worked today (Emily and Lindsay) were both kind, hilarious, and insanely talented. I seriously cannot day enough good things, I am just absolutely blown out of the water. I am so satisfied and in love with my tattoo. Each artist has their own prices but you pay for quality, and they provide. I will never get another tattoo anywhere else, ever. I have been to a few shops in Portland and they were pretty good, but Courtney made me feel welcome and comfortable she even numbed my arm a few times ( which was awesome). I love the Opal girls-- Emily and Lindsay. I discovered them when I lived in NW and then got an enso tattoo'ed when they moved to their new location in Sellwood.I also had an 11:11 tattoo'ed by Sage and I highly recommend him as well. They are super personable here. I spent some time hanging out here while a friend was being tattoo'ed and the space is minimal, beautiful, and peaceful. Lindsay Carter designed a custom watercolor lion for the start of my sleeve. I had it done in January of 2016, and she was able to do the whole thing in one session which was very impressive; it took five and a half hours. I walked in on February 13th because they were having an all day flash tattoo special. I got a beautiful piece done by Sage Trail. His manner and attention to detail are excellent. He was so gentle that I honestly almost fell asleep in the chair. My tattoo is beautiful and I get many compliments on it. I am happy that I went in and will definitely be back to see him. I've gotten 2 tattoos by Lindsay Carter. She's wonderful! I really love both, one was custom and the other was a flash piece (that Sage designed actually, he's also really great!
