Went to AJ to do a custom piece. It turned out nice. Wanted to do some color enhancement and talk to her about another custom piece. She has difficulty keeping appointment times. I was to meet her one day at 1pm and because of past problems with her "writing down the time wrong", at 1230pm I texted her to say I was on my way. Sure enough she texted me back and said, "I thought it was at 430." It was NEVER at 430, I referred her to the text message string. She said, "Ok. I'll be there at 115." While I was driving there she came up with a lame excuse that the owner wasn't at the shop, she couldn't get in and would have to go find him. I was around the corner and said "Forget it". Cuz who knows how long it was gonna take her to "Go find the owner". Tried to set another appointment and now she's not responding to my texts. After I made a $50 deposit to hold the spot at 1:00, she blew off the appointment and now won't respond. I'll eat the $50. And I won't have her do any more work for me. The only reason I'm giving her two stars is because the piece she did turned out nice.

My best friend & I have gotten a couple spontaneous tattoos together in the past when we were in college in Southern California but I recently moved back up to the Portland area and we were wanting another tattoo. We were looking up reviews and saw that Ink therapy had great reviews so we called and luckily AJ was there! She normally doesn't work Sundays but she was able to get us in. She is an incredible artist & even better person! She did such a great job helping us figure out the exact design we wanted and was able to draw it up quick. She took her time making sure it was perfect for us. When she thought it was done, she would add a little bit more to make it even better and that was amazing! Not many tattoo artists will put that extra effort in to really please the customer but she definitely did. She went above & beyond in all aspects. She made the experience wonderful and was an all around awesome woman. We will definitely be back for more!!! Gladly spreading her cards around to our friends! After going to her I wouldn't want anyone else putting art on my body.

Aj Dent was amazing to say the least! I came to her with my idea and she ran with it, brought my own idea to life, while adding in her talent and flare that I grew to appreciate while searching for a long time to find someone to complete my piece. She was upbeat, funny, talkative and always making sure I was ok. She even cheered me on during the most painful parts. She's amazing for sticking my piece out with me in one session. The owner was awesome as well, cracking jokes, and kept checking in on the progress. The shop is clean and professional. I will be back and would recommend it to anyone!

I am so unbelievably happy with my experience at Ink Therapy. Anthony is amazing. Super talented, super nice, super professional, and way super affordable. I covered up a horrid 17 year old tattoo mistake on my back. (Kids, don't ever let your friends use you as a guinea pig for them 'learning' how to tattoo). I waited many years to make sure the investment was something that was me, was worth it, and I would be proud to show the rest of my life. Anthony's work exceeded my expectations. He made the whole process great from start to finish. He was clean and organized. Beyond all that we chatted it up almost the whole time, he makes you feel comfortable. I can't wait to come back and get another piece. I won't go anywhere else and i Hope he never leaves Portland!

What an amazing day. Not only did I leave with an badass tattoo my experience was awesome. Anthony is a good person. He makes you feel welcome and comfortable and he got just about as exciting about the tattoo as I was. I went to several shops and researched several artists before I went to ink therapy and I will tell you I was uncomfortable in most of the places I went. I will be telling everyone i know this is the place to go. Oh and he does an amazing job covering up old tattoos... So if you have that not so awesome- what was I thinking tattoo go see if he can help you!

Anthony is an incredible artist and extremely personable. He really makes the experience enjoyablr, by not only doing great work, but by being friendly and conversing. A lot of artists I've gotten ink from have been really distant and just there for the money. Anthony really shows an interest in his clients, way beyond their business. He's not going to stencil some crap on you and bust it out real quick. He's gonna take his time and customize your piece. His pricing is extremely competitive and fair. Come get your ink done here. You will not regret it.

Went to AJ to do a custom piece. It turned out nice. Wanted to do some color enhancement and talk to her about another custom piece. She has difficulty keeping appointment times. My best friend & I have gotten a couple spontaneous tattoos together in the past when we were in college in Southern California but I recently moved back up to the Portland area and we were wanting another tattoo. A couple years back i had gone to get a tattoo on my back and the service was excellent and the ink well the ink talks for itself fantastic work. You won't regret your visit.like there websites says the will bring your vision to life.one of the best tattoo parlors I've had the privilege to visit. And well today im going back to get more ink from the same artist, that right there should say something. Bringing back the business.

I went in to get a cover up with a theme but nothing specific. Anthony ran with my idea and did a free hand drawing right on my back. I loved it and so it was underway. Anthony is very professional and put me at ease, and the time flew by with great conversation. I couldn't be happier with my experience and would recommend him to everyone I know.

Hands downs, the best experience someone could possibly have! The artist I had was miss AJ Dent. It was her first day in the shop, and my first tattoo. She made the hole experience had comfortable as it could be, and she has THE most amazing line work. I literally wouldn't recommend anyone else, and I know where I'm getting my next one, that's for sure.

What an amazing day. Not only did I leave with an badass tattoo my experience was awesome. Anthony is a good person. He makes you feel welcome and comfortable and he got just about as exciting about the tattoo as I was. I went to several shops and researched several artists before I went to ink therapy and I will tell you I was uncomfortable in most of the places I went. I will be telling everyone i know this is the place to go. Oh and he does an amazing job covering up old tattoos... So if you have that not so awesome- what was I thinking tattoo go see if he can help you!

Hes extremely easy to talk to and will put the most nervous of new customers at ease. Watching his shop grow has been a pleasure. I cant tell enough people to check out this shop.

Anthony is an incredible artist and extremely personable. He really makes the experience enjoyablr, by not only doing great work, but by being friendly and conversing. A lot of artists I've gotten ink from have been really distant and just there for the money. Anthony really shows an interest in his clients, way beyond their business. He's not going to stencil some crap on you and bust it out real quick. He's gonna take his time and customize your piece. His pricing is extremely competitive and fair. Come get your ink done here. You will not regret it.
