This place was recommended to me by a friend. I was out on a whim and decided I wanted to get another piercing that day and I came here. It's a rather small storefront located in the mall on the second floor. The staff is friendly and answered all the questions I had. I didn't make an appointment so one of the gentleman took me in right away. The office was well maintained and upon beginning my piercing, of course everything had been  sterilized. I didn't know that it was illegal to use guns to pierce, but I would have preferred the needle anyway. My whole procedure took no more than thirty or so minutes, quick and painless, literally. This is the Second Place that I've gone to get Pierced in Portland, OR. I took out a few of my Various Piercings over the Years, in the Past... but, I think I'll keep this Last One. I was able to walk in and be pierced in about 20 Minutes. There, in the waiting room a Millenial White Woman was trying to Convince me to get a Tattoo, I guess that's her thing... and another Random White Woman was trying to convince me that it was " Illegal " to get Pierced. I don't know what her deal was really... I think she had been following me in the Mall for a while. I didn't really " Pay her any Mind. " My Female Piercer was very Good. I mean I felt it, but I didn't have the sensation I have had previously, when hours later the site of the Piercing would get " Hot. " It would have been better if my husband had gone with me. I got a vertical labret here and it was TOTALLY crooked. Which is bizarre because the woman was very meticulous in placing it.  Multiple people pointed it out and I wanted it to not be true, but once the swelling went down it looked even worse. He had great technique and regularly checked on me to make sure I didn't pass out. My friend made an appointment for us for last Saturday at 12pm to get tattoos. We told them what we wanted, We were quoted $60 minimum to $100, for what we wanted. We get there at 11:50pm, just to get there early and know where we were going since it was our first time. We get there and the receptionist tells us our guy was not going to be there until 12:20, so we say okay, because we didn't really want to argue. But who makes an appointment for a specific time and then changes up the day of, with no phone call?  We come back at 1:30 and the receptionist tells us who we were getting tattoo by, (not sure his name but he was the bald guy who does tattoos)He told us that we weren't even his appointment, but how are we supposed to know that? The receptionist Jeremiah is not firm with his words, he doesn't really know what he's talking about and nothing against Him but he just doesn't fit the requirements of what a receptionist should be. He wasn't very knowledgable about the shop. So basically, my friend and I got our tattoos and after everything I had asked our tattoo artist how much it would be and he says he charged by hour but didn't tell us what the price was until after everything. Basically he pointed and my friend and said $150 for you and $250 for me and I was in awe because we kind of had a price in our head that it wouldn't be THIS much. Our artist was Cody and he was great and listened to what we wanted but, Receptionist during the week who answered told us NOTHING about an hourly rate. No one told us anything about how to care for our tattoos and everything was just not professional. Cody gets 5 stars for doing his job, giving us the tattoos we wanted. He definitely deserves to be in a better shop. Wow. I have no words. I have never been so scared of a piercing place. The amount of health code violations this place boasts is INSANE. My coworker and I needed to get nude fillers for our nose rings for a new rule at our jobs about visible body jewelry. We called around and this place was the closest to us and we needed these in a hurry. Upon arrival we both felt uncomfortable. The place just looked run down and sketchy. The man at the front desk kept sneezing into his hands and not washing them, and didn't know anything about the products. After 20 minutes of waiting we finally saw the piercer. The piercing tools were just laying out on the counter. Whilst looking at the jewelry on our nose he wasn't sure how to get them out, or what kind of pieces they were. He picked up the first of MANY instruments and casually dipped it in a bucket of what I suppose what some sort of cleaner?? Then attempted to go and take our jewelry out. He continued to fail at this and kept being unsure of what to do and what tool to use. My heart was racing because I knew how unsanitary this entire thing was and how unprofessional. By the time he gets to my friend she's almost hyperventilating because he's pulling out bigger and bigger tools and just yanking away as if he's never done this before. I can't stress enough how unsanitary this was. My friend proceeds to pass out because of the unnecessary pain he caused. I am no piercer but having been to very professional studios before this, I knew this place was not up to code. Man, do not go here. You could go to Black Hole for about the same price and be helped by professionals who know what they're doing. I've never ever ever been so shocked by a business. Wish I could give it no stars. I got a small tattoo done here about a month ago. Sean was the guy that did my tattoo and he was great. It was expensive for a small tattoo but they have a $60 dollar minimum. I understood and got it done. He told me u could get it touched up anytime if it faded for free. It was on my foot so I thought this could happen and what a great deal. I called the shop because it had faded and they said it would cost $20 to touch up unless Sean did it. I said I'll wait for Sean because it's free. I now just went to the shop and he no longer works there. I said can I get it touched up for the $20 and I was told no. I would have to pay the $60 all over again!!! My roommates daughter wanted to get her nose pierced for her 16th birthday, so we asked around amongst our friends, family and co-workers, and this place was recommended.There was only one person working when we arrived, so he did the piercing (wish that I could remember his name). My roommate was a little nervous at first, because the guy said he mostly does tattoos. But, he put the daughter at ease and she was VERY happy with the outcome (see pic posted). She said that it didn't hurt at all and that the piercer had made jokes to distract her from the process, because she was so nervous about getting her nose pierced.It was a quick, easy and pleasant experience.Their prices for jewelry and services are reasonable. The only "complaint" we had was the lack of body jewelry choices. While I was waiting in the lobby for my friend and his daughter, I thought that I would buy a new nose ring for myself, but they barely had anything to choose from.
