I had my second tattoo from J.D. today. Great tattoo. Great price. I've had other tattoos that do not even come close to as good as JD"S has. I won't go anywhere else! Both tattoos are awesome! If you want a great tattoo then give Electric City Tattoo a try. You won't regret it!

There are a lot of awesome tattoo artists in Portland, but JD at Electric City really is one of the most talented and has been around for a long time. Not only are his tattoos artistically creative and beautifully done, but they barely peel and heal quickly. He knows how to create tattoos that will last a lifetime and look like new for years. In addition, he's a super cool dude to talk to for several hours at a time. He makes the experience fun and full of great conversation, and is really helpful if you need his opinion on what you're thinking about doing. Can't recommend him enough!

To be fair - I haven't actually been inside this place. There's no wheelchair ramp, so the artist came outside to talk with me and show me some of the art. I really appreciated that. (If/when I go back, I'll get help with that hurdle.) I want to get a wing on each leg done up and her friendly demeanor was very convincing.

JD is fantastic. He has done three of my six pieces and they are all great. The latest one he did was a gift to myself for my 30th birthday and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. The colors are rich and the lines are smoothe. I will definitely return to Electric City and JD for my next!

I live just down the street from this shop, so I decided to stop in and check it out one day. Not knowing quite what I wanted yet, I just looked around for some inspiration at first. When I stopped back in a week or so later with a rough (REALLY ROUGH) sketch I had made of my idea, JD remembered me from the other day and engaged me in an awesome conversation about what I wanted in my tattoo. I was a little nervous about the piece (my entire thigh!!) but got great vibes from this shop. When I came in a few weeks later to see the sketch he had made, I was floored --- it was PERFECT. We're now three hours in to it (just the outline and some basic shading so far), but I am super happy with it and can't wait to go back for some more work! I *highly* recommend Electric City.

There are a lot of awesome tattoo artists in Portland, but JD at Electric City really is one of the most talented and has been around for a long time. Not only are his tattoos artistically creative and beautifully done, but they barely peel and heal quickly. He knows how to create tattoos that will last a lifetime and look like new for years. In addition, he's a super cool dude to talk to for several hours at a time. He makes the experience fun and full of great conversation, and is really helpful if you need his opinion on what you're thinking about doing. Can't recommend him enough!

To be fair - I haven't actually been inside this place. There's no wheelchair ramp, so the artist came outside to talk with me and show me some of the art. I really appreciated that.
