I took my daughter in to get her navel pierced for her birthday.  She's a minor so they require ID from both of us and if our last names don't match then they need a birth certificate. We were greeted promptly when we entered. The shop is clean and well lit. They have pretty cool wall decor for being a tattoo/piercing shop. John was our piercer. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and told her what to expect, step by step. The toold he used were sterilized and in single use packaging. He was very thorough about after care and made sure we knew how to clean the piercing. I just had my nostril pierced by Aaron, and it was a fantastic experience. He gave very thorough information, both before and after the procedure. The shop is very clean, and all the instruments and the jewelry were autoclaved prior to use. He used a mask before handwashing and gloving up. The procedure itself was quick but not rushed, which kept the discomfort to a minimum. I walked in to get my ear pierced and John was able to help me quickly. He throughly explained everything and made me feel super comfortable. The shop was clean and sterile. The selection of jewelry was very high quality, the cost was a lot higher than what I expected but honestly I didn't mind paying it because it was such high quality and they fully quarantine everything.  And they even gave me a T-shirt. The work i got done here is okay looking...mostly very disappointed with the tattoo artist's (C. Martin) attitude and sloppiness. I dont know if hes really inexperienced or just thought i wouldn't notice little details. He didnt shave the whole area being worked on, he rarely whiped away excess ink while working, he missed a significantly visible area that was supposed to be filled in and when i pointed it out he seemed embarrassed and went over the spot feverishly til it was bleeding. This all while he's insulting my other tattoos, bragging about how experienced and a "real tattoo artist" he is, and was incredibly defensive of his work any time i said anything at all. The shop was alsol overpriced for what i was asking for, but i was a walk in and not in the mood to negotiate with what was obviously a sexist upsale. I wouldnt have even felt so uncomfortable about paying so much if the customer service was not so hostile. Great flash art, but definitely won't return. Update: 4 weeks after, tattooed way too deep, the whole area is scarred. I can't fairly condemn the whole shop for one bad artist, but yeah...that guy's work sucks. Update 2: 6 weeks after, over time i just keep getting madder and madder about this tattoo. The outline the artist put on my arm did not match the finished project, his tattoo gun was missing a needle and made double lines. My skin is so scarred that it can't stay moisturized for more than a few hours. I want to add that i have several other tattoos and know what they're supposed to look like. To be honest one Saturday afternoon my husband and I came in because I needed new jewelry for my nose. Came in and there were a lot of people waiting. My husband didn't really like the vibe so we left. I convinced him him to give it another chance! We came in this past week and got new studs. Aaron was awesome and very informative (we love piercers who know what they're doing)! A side from that it took quite a long time for my husband and I to get our jewelry. We came in at 1220 and didn't leave the shop until 150. There was only one person ahead of us so we didn't really understand why it took so long. While he was with us he had many many distractions such as phones calls and another customer coming in and being so adamant about getting his jewelry done first. He's a one man show! Juan did an amazing job piercing my 7yr olds ears. He talked to her and let her and us know everything so she wouldnt be scared. He is EXTREMELY cautious and sterile. This is the way to go, never the piercing gun again. The very next day the swelling went down! She never had an issue with any infection or any ugly stuff from healing. Aaron is a total sweetheart and knows what he's doing. His services are super reasonable considering what you get. It's important to keep in mind that quality jewelry and cheap prices don't mix- it's reassuring that Aaron stocks both of his locations with implant grade, mirror polish, brand name jewelry that is considered the best/standard of the piercing industry. I have been coming to this shop for the last 3 years or so and have not been this upset of how I was treated. I was just in to see Danny Waller about a couple of tattoos, was told he moved to the east coast and then was directed to a newer artist in the shop. I was quoted a priced of $150 an hour for on going work, per the shops fees. One of the tattoos is not one going work, since when is a medium sized tattoo on going work? If this artist had open spots on his scheduled, Why did I feel I was shoved out the door rather fast? "Look at my work on line" "if it's something you want to go ahead with come back in and we will make appointment" First, since I came into the shop, then "YES" it is something I want to have done. Second, if you have time and do not have clients then work on getting them instead of rushing them out the door. Yes, there are many people that want and have tattoos on them that are NOT shown by everyday clothing. Yes, there are people that want and have tattoos, who DO NOT have a bunch of facial piercings. Went in to get a nostril piercing with my younger cousin, it would have been her first facial piercing. The woman who does the piercings was awfully rude. I've dealt with boldly assertive people before, and the reasons she turned us down were fine, but she was just incredibly rude about it. My cousin ended up leaving, crying, because she was so disappointed and the woman really was quite in her face about it. I, myself, told the woman my boss would allow me to wear a retainer at work, so I asked if I could get my nostril pierced with a retainer and let it heal with that. She told me she could do that, but wasn't going to because it was no less visible than an actual piercing. I told her I understand, but my boss isn't worried about THAT but could only let me have a retainer in. She turned us both down. I'm glad that that had happened in a way, there was no way I'm paying $75 for a nostril piercing. I had my previous facial piercings done at Multnomah, and I'll be returning there for this one. Love this place!! My husband and I have both been pierced here. First off, I LOVE that they use Neometal. Second, I had an issue with my piercing, and they helped me find the root of the issue and fix it. Twice. Neither issue was their fault, but they helped me with expertise and professionalism the whole time. I decided to get a surprise tattoo as well, and the artist I went with was great! Hands down the worst studio I have ever interacted with. It all started back the first week of February when I gave Andy $60 as a deposit. My appointment was scheduled for the following weekend. I canceled that appointment on the artist because it was a day and a half prior to my appointment and Andy failed to have any correspondence with me regarding the drawling. I waited a couple weeks and contacted Andy via email about rescheduling hoping he had time to come up with s...omething. He failed to get back to me at all until a week later I called the shop. He then told me he has yet to drawl anything and he wanted me to come in for a sit down discussion about the piece again. (2nd time) Why he could not have asked me these questions over the phone throughout the say 5 weeks that went by, i have no idea. During this sit down we rescheduled for the following weekend again. This time Andy canceled on me, still no drawling. When I first gave andy the deposit he told me it was for his drawling time. I never saw ANY sketch or drawling. At this point I had had enough and fired andy as my new local artist. Time went by and i tried to contact Andy via phone at the shop but he was always busy tattooing and NEVER returned any phone calls. I also tried via E-mail but again, zero response. Here we are, halfway through May and Andy still has my deposit. I finally spoke with Jade. Complete waste of my time. He was a complete rude dick from the get go. He told me he will not refund my deposit because "it is company policy for over a decade." So basically the OWNER of the shop told me over the phone that it is OK that his employee pretty much stole my deposit because I never saw a drawling or received any inkwork. Therefor the owner is harboring a thief and is OK with that. I will NEVER recommend ANYONE EVER to this lousy and poorly managed shop. HEY JADE, keep my $60 and hire yourself some trustworthy artists that hold true to their word and communicate. Until then I hope business sucks. You handled this matter very poorly. A few days ago I got my helix pierced by Aaron. He did a great job of making sure I was calm as I was a little nervous. The piercing turned out great! One artist in particular left a lot to be desired. Went with my lady for a couples tattoo armed with a pic of our idea with some minor variations. What we received was a sorry 2D interpretation, and mocker, of what we wanted or what anyone would expect. Poor shading. In some places shading was nonexistant were it shouldve been. Worse yet, lines and dimensions were grossly skewed; lines that traversed other lines didnt even meet up. What happened? Artist, i use that term loosely, chris, is what happened. I cannot in good conscience recommend him. However, jade and billy jack are incredibly talented and true masters of the art. Honestly, the wait was crap, but my piercer was really attentive and super, super clean. While he was piercing my friend's cartilage, he changed his gloves FIVE TIMES! I'm not even kidding.Throughout my procedure he kept whispering reassuring comments (which became silly, fast) telling me exactly what he was doing and how excited I must be to see my "sick new tragus" after he was done. I was really nervous, but he did a really good job calming me and informing me of all the info I needed to know. Would recommend Damien to anyone! I can not recommend this place highly enough *looks frantically for a 6th star*. These guys are top notch professional and amazingly artistic. Of course, it all comes down to what you like/don't like, right? Well that's where Jade really has you covered. He's truly gifted at feeling who you are and summing it up on paper. Within minutes of having met me (and while rushed, no less) he created a work of art that was beyond my imagining of beauty. I should specify that I have an incredible imagination. I'm not lacking in that department, he simply supersedes me, and I'm by far not the average tattoo customer. How does he do it? I have no idea. 1) I personally get tattooed by Joe, but have looked through everyone's portfolio and its all stellar. You know how a lot of shops have that one artist who's kinda crappy and not up to par with the rest of the artists? Doesn't exist here. 2) Super laid-back environment and cool guys in general. 3) Two locations. 4) Reasonable prices. You get what you pay for, people.
