I didn't want to give a bad review, thought I'd give myself some time to think about if I wanted to share my experience or not. Sadly my tattoo I got from here is a mess. The girl who did it was constantly looking at her computer to watch a game while tattooing me. I didn't think to tell her no because I thought "hey, she must feel comfortable to still do a great job and I wouldn't want her to miss it if it was that important to her" well....I should have said something. Was looking to get a piece done alongside my boyfriend before I left for California in a week and was able to get an appointment for 3 days later. The artists and desk girls were all really helpful and friendly with helping me and my boyfriend figure out our designs and appointments. During our appointment I felt really comfortable and loved the lively environment of the shop. I got my tattoo done by Nathan, who did a great job despite it not being his style. Etzel was able to make his own amazing design out of my boyfriend's complex ideas and helped him with the anxiety he had concerning the tattoo. The tattoos were very reasonably priced and I was able to use the yelp coupon that yelp presents on here, yet I don't think anyone in the shop was aware of this coupon beforehand (so make sure it's okay/accepted before you get your tat done, preferably!) Their main concern is making sure that I walk away with something I will love for the rest of my life. They take the time to draw up something that is both amazing as well as realistic for my body. These guys know what they are doing. You can go to some other shop in town if your main concern is getting tattooed by Yes-Men that just want your money. I live 2 hours away from this shop but I've made the drive to get all of my 3 tattoos on separate occasions just so I could be tatted by Jerry. I was super nervous to get my first one, (mountain range and coordinates in my fathers handwriting) and he added his personal touches to it making it look even better than what I had brought in.The second time I went I got matching tattoos with my mom and sister, and they got us in and out in little time! The bigger piece on my arm I came as a walk in and they were more than happy to do it right before they were closing. The staff is super helpful friendly, and give their professional opinions on every piece   ( which might be why some people have given negative reviews). I no longer live in Oregon anymore, but when I go back to visit I definitely will be making a stop here. Theres no other artist that I would want to use. Went in with my friend, we were both wanted some fresh ink. My friend got Jimmy, who was amazing. It was the friends first time and he treated her with nothing but care and respect. Her tattoo came out amazing to say the least. If this review was solely about her experience, I'd give it a full five. I was paired up with Demian. What really threw a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that once I showed him my design, he made a comment to a fellow artist about how he likes tattooing freshly legal females. Then a couple minutes later asked if this was my first tattoo. The awkward moment when you've been legal for a good while and this is your third tattoo... I went ahead and he put the tracer on only to end up arguing with me about the placement. To be honest, I knew exactly what I wanted and I just didn't feel comfortable letting someone like this ink me. So I'll be taking business elsewhere, personally. Absolute horrible service. There was no hello or how may I help you. I walked in and two people just casually glanced and went about there business and the other two people didn't even bother to look up. We waited outside for about 10 minutes for the doors to open. In addition, we were the first and only clients to walk in, so it's not like they didn't notice us. Still, the reason why they are so trash is not because they didn't say hi, but because they made a big deal over a simple cover up. I told the guy I wanted to get something covered up and immediately, before I showed him what or where, he seemed to be getting nervous and blurted out why they COULDN'T do it. Another overpriced trash tattoo parlour here in the heart of Eugene. We talked for ten mins, then he told me to check out an artist who wasn't there (mistake #1) but would be best at attempting (huge mistake #2) the Polynesian cover up I now successfully have. His portfolio was garbage. Also, no one is ATTEMPTING any tattoo on my arm. You either can do it or you cant. I noticed that much of the work done there was cartoonish, a sort of Ed Hardy style. Jimmy at the Parlour (JIMMY!) made my birthday tattoo experience yesterday a great one. I made an appointment in advance, changed the time at some point during the week, and showed up a half hour late on accident. I wasn't flogged or anything... they were very understanding and worked me into the schedule. Thanks guys! I gave Jimmy some very rough sketches of what I wanted, and he worked it into something I immediately agreed to: a dark (OD green) circle with a green celtic trinity knot inside. Then, my Leo hook zodiac sign was intertwined into the knot in black. It looks amazing on my forearm! I love it. ""Lucky"" was his name......... He designed and gave me my first tatoo. It is a design of a vine of hibiscus flowers colored with the vibrant colors of blues, purples and greens. The vine is connected by a 3/4 "" tall by 1"" wide frog. I described myself to lucky, explaining that i was a domestic engineer and a mother of four. Lucky went to work and came up with the perfect one for me. He knew exactly what i wanted and needed. The experience is one of my favorite ones. I learned some about his journey in life and he laughed and my momentary insanity. I am not sure if he still remembers me as this was about 8 years ago. But i remember him.
