My mother passed away last month. My daughter and I met with Kat to discuss a memorial tattoo. We discussed our time-frame because my daughter was going to the hot springs and wanted it to have time to heal prior to her trip. We settled on a date and scheduled the appointment. Twenty minutes prior to the appointment time the artist cancelled due to illness (which I totally understand and told her so at the time). Unfortunately, she was not available on my daughter's days off from work for rescheduling during the same week.  Soooo, we went somewhere else and they did a fantastic job.I requested my deposit back and was passed on to the manager who told me: 1) there's a sign up front that says no refunds on deposits (um, you cancelled on me and were unable to provide the service in advance of my event. If a hairdresser cancelled a pre prom appt and was available the day after the prom, I wouldn't think they would feel entitled to keep the deposit)2) there's no such thing as a tattoo emergency (wow...and how dare you)3) no artist would tell us anything other than that it should be a 2 week to 1 month wait period (Kat scheduled the time she did knowing about the hot springs, and when she tried to reschedule for times my daughter wasn't available she again said that she would be fine for the hot springs)4) they were not going to refund our money because we went somewhere else (again, if I need my hair done for the prom and you cancel, I have to go to another hairdresser)5) if we had such inflexible time constraints, we shouldn't have left a deposit (they won't schedule a tattoo without one...and how were we supposed to see into the future that the person assuring us all would be fine would end up cancelling 20 minutes prior to the tatttoos...again, I get that people get sick but come on already with holding the deposit hostage).I strongly urge you to be sure you have no constraints whatsoever, and can afford to reschedule around the artist's availability if they cancel your first appointment...otherwise, don't make the deposit.Disappointed,Mother/Daughter Read Less

I am so impressed by Cry Baby Ink. I've had 3 tattoos done there now by the owner, Greg and I absolutely love and adore every one of them. Greg is funny, personable, talented, passionate and many more positive adjectives. He makes great conversation and has interesting stories to share. It's obvious that he genuinely cares about his work and the overall experience his clients have. He's a family man and has a daughter who also works as a tattoo artist there. It's conveniently located off West 11th and both the interior and exterior of the shop are immaculate and professional. I just can't say enough good things about Cry Baby Ink. I've had two tattoos from Cry Baby Ink and love them. The prices might be a tad more than others but the quality is DEFINITELY worth it (I've seen some really bad tattoos from cheap places). Several of my friends have got tattoos from Cry Baby as well and they all turned out great. Read Less

Got my last tattoo done at Cry Baby with artist Victor. Was a huge mistake because he was distracted the entire time, forgetting details on a very simple tattoo. My friend and I kept having to remind him of certain details and he miscolored multiple parts (we were going off of a picture) and neglected to shade entire pieces. I am very disappointed with the tattoo... I ended up walking out of the shop thinking, "I cant wait til this heals so I can get it touched up." Not a good feeling. I wouldnt go back there. Read Less

My son and girlfriend got some of the worst work I have ever seen. They were charged 100.00 dollars for hers which was little diamonds on her finger. Horrible job on the simplest tattoo. His looked like a child put it on him. Actually my seven year could have drawn it better. Shameful. The only artist of any talent is Ray Eversole. His talent seems to carry this place. Absolutely amazing. Found these guys because they found and returned my phone that I had lost in the same parking lot. Got my work done by Victor, basically an angel that has had the crap beaten out of it, and I am absolutely in love with the work and the experience as a whole!!!!
