Paid $500 for 5 hours, wasnt prepaired at time of the appintment. The time i paid for included artists smoke breaks. Got an outline done that needed touched up once healed . Took forever to heal. Too much ink under skin it bled, making my arm look brused. Artist drank tequila while on break. I wasnt happy about the cost at first, but after the after care of my tattoo and the quality i got i am completely unhappy. If this had been my first tattoo i would have never wanted another tattoo. I got amazing hand  tattoo from tattooist who work here. I don't know his name because I'm hard of hearing. My friend tagged me into this shop on Facebook name Jason saying he offering $100 tattoo and get one free.  So I went to the shop and met Jason. I  showed Him the tattoo that I wanted. And he charging  me $150 for hand tattoo and I'm okay with it but he didn't ask me about free tattoo so I ask other tattooist about it and he wrote down the paper and asked me if he could reduced $150 to $75 instead of getting free tattoo. I was like sure. It's fine a me. Then when he finish my tattoo. I paid cash. And left the shop. Then Jason messaged me and told me I'm supposed to pay $150. Not $75.  So it's kinda too late. I'm from Eugene, but have moved to Las Vegas... I came back after six years of missing my home and wanted a tattoo to make my trip even more special... I got a simple tattoo of the Oregon state outline with a green heart in the middle on the top of my foot. Travis was my tattoo artist, he was very nice, gave great suggestions and did a fantastic job! He clearly cares about the tattoo he's putting on your body, he took extra time to make sure it was perfect.  If you want someone who will give you space, make you feel comfortable and be kind then choose Travis here at this tattoo parlor. Ya they can give you a tattoo but they are very cheap and have ass there work. NEVER returning. Having one of there recent employees who LEFT because they were such pieces of shit. I was over charged and all the time they are drunk on the job. Own employees Jason I believe said "it helps my creative mind" steer clear and drive to Portland. I have met many other people who payed way less than I did for much detailed art work twice the size of mine. They are scam artist and like to pretend like it's a good business. I'm giving two stars because Jason did very good work on my step daughter. He should get five stars. Unfortunately I made an appointment with a different artist, vinny or Vincent, today because he does fingers and Jason doesn't. I scheduled the appointment for 12 noon for my husband to get his wedding ring tattooed on. We sat there for 30 minutes but sadly Vincent never showed! Finally we left and asked that he give us a call when he showed up. Still haven't heard from him... Very unprofessional! In my opinion, Julien is the best tattoo artist in the area. His work is beautiful and he really makes his tattoos look like pieces of art. When looking at other artists work around the area, I noticed that their drawing skills weren't even comparable to Julien's. His flower art work is especially amazing, I haven't seen anything like it so far. I got my first tattoo done by Julien, and although he was expensive, he was well worth it. He made me feel much more comfortable than any other tattoo artist, and he seemed to really know what he was doing. He also offered free touch-ups, and advice whenever I needed it, he really is invested in making sure you love your tattoo. He was the only tattoo artist that offered free touch-ups to me, due to the fact that my tattoo was an all-white ink tattoo. It turned out beautiful though, and I may not even need a touch up. I would recommend Julien and his crew to anyone looking for a top notch tattoo experience. Read Less

The summer of 2009 my momma, sister, aunt Tami and I were sitting at the coast having a few yummy beers enjoying time together. I suggested that in the future we should all get tattoos that remind us of each other. Everyone agreed. Although later that summer my Aunt Tami told me that the only reason she said yes was because she knew my mother would never go through with it ;-) We are a very close family and my Momma and Aunt Tami have always been friends and sisters. Their nickname for each other was sweet pea. Sadly in September of 2010 we lost my Aunt Tami to cancer.Flash forward to March 2012. My family and I were in Eugene to visit other family members for a birthday. When we arrived at our hotel I opened the curtains and saw Black Lotus Tattoo across the street. I said, "Well Momma, here's your chance, let's do our tattoos now!" Without hesitation she said yes and after doing some research online about Black Lotus and other tattoo parlors in Eugene we gave them a call. They had a cancellation and were able to get us in a half hour later. Mom's tattoo was a three part sweet pea flower with stem and leaves. It turned out amazingly beautiful with sharp detail and created shading and multi level color. I've seen many half-ass flower tats, especially sweet peas because of their natural form, but Felix did a wonderful job creating a lovely tattoo that my mother will cherish forever. That day was like filling the circle for us and Felix helped make the possible. Pros:Large, open facility CleanEveryone was friendly and helpfulMany books to flip through, although we brought our own art.Momma's tattooist was Felix. He did great work and had a great attitude. I was tattooed by "Dr." Julien a few years back. At the time he was the only tattooer there. Now, he has a few others working there.I had to make an appointment about a month in advance. I hear he has a much longer wait now. He also charges by the piece, not by the hour so keep that in mind and expect to pay a lot.He does pretty excellent work and is a fairly personable guy but you can tell his notoriety has given him a bit of an ego. As far as Eugene goes he's one of, if not the best. If he were in L.A. though, I think he would be considered good, not great.I gotta admit though, he does some of the most amazing flowers ever. After months of research in Eugene, Portland and Los Angeles I decided that Julien (A.K.A. ""Dr. Julien"") should be the first person to tattoo me. I made a consultation appointment (highly recommended) first to talk to him about my idea before starting. His assistant, with sweet sleeves done by him, booked me for the following month. He had no problem using a 3D object to photograph for use for a guide. His attention to detail is outstanding and his flowers are flawless! I had a gold medallion tattooed that looks like it is really gold metal. Friends of mine have gotten orchids, metal tools, feathers and all sorts of random stuff and all of his work is some of the best I have ever seen. Honestly, since I first went to the shop a few years ago, I have yet to see any tattoo artist anywhere (and I mean over 100 shops visited in person from Eugene, Portland, Seattle and New York to my home, Los Angeles) in the world tattoo flowers as nicely as Dr. Julien does. He says they are his favorite thing to do. He does like to converse during the tattooing a lot which some people mind but I don't. For this reason he doesn't charge by the hour but by the piece and sometimes it can be a little pricey for Eugene prices. For L.A. prices it's about normal. Read Less
