Cool, hip, and with it - great atmosphere. This place became the only shop for me once I got a cut from Ivan. He got exactly what I was asking for, executed it perfectly, and with his keen sense of style, helped improve the cut over the couple years I've been seeing him. One time, I made the mistake of getting a cut from someone else, came out way too short, botched it bad. Ivan was able to fix it, seemingly defying the subtractive nature of haircutting. I visited here a few years ago. During the haircut I tried to engage the barber in a conversation about music; he blew me off. I told him I was a local but originally from Tacoma, Washington. He must have not been listening or didn't believe me because when I showed him my U.S. Passport to get the free beer he said, "Where are you originally from?" (Despite it showing my birth state in my United States passport.) This was racially offensive to me being an Asian from around here. It gets annoying when people assume I am a foreign exchange student or something, but after I specifically tell you? Come on. Finally he charged me $20 when there was a sign outside saying $10 haircuts...I didn't even ask for a fade or anything special. I went in not entirely knowing what I wanted and I'll just say they weren't helpful. I was basically told, hey we can't cut your hair if you don't know what you want. Called first to confirm what time they closed (this was on a Sunday). Was told 5pm. I got there in 10 minutes at 4pm and there were 4 people waiting ahead of me. There were 4/5 stylists working and they all had customers. A lady met me at the desk and said they cut the list off and I’d have to come back. Why didn’t they tell me in the first place?? Came in as a walk in based of yelp reviews and the price of a beard trim. Waited about 15 min then sat with Ivan. Super cool spot with vinyl all over the walls. Easy going and laid back atmosphere. Ivan did a great job and was super warm and welcoming. Didn't cut any corners and got the job done right and swiftly. If you're ever in the area don't hesitate to visit this shop and sit with Ivan ! Today was my first time ever going to a barber shop me being female most people don't think of me going there. But may I say this shop is way cleaner than any high end salon I've EVER been to I wish I got the name of the artist that did my undercut. I was amazed at the focus, politeness, and how it's all about you. I've been coming to this shop since I moved to the area. I have had 3 different barbers cut my hair (skin tight fade on dark hair) and they all did a fantastic job. Avoid the blonde haired guy with glasses. He said hes been cutting hair for more than 6 years, but felt like less than 6 days. He butchered my hair, all I asked was for short sides and back with a long top, a very easy and common style. He also kept changing the music every 10 minutes, gave a really unwelcoming attitude. My son went in for a quick clean up, he told Juan or whatever his name is, that he didn't wanted his hair cut short, just clean up in the back and around the ears, and he pretty much shaved off the back and sides. I thought the place was good at first because of the reviews, but when I went in the music was really loud and I was already having a bad day. We have been trying to book shaves on the morning of our wedding. We were told to book online. We tried but the times they start are 10 am.and they need to be at the venue in creswell by 11 am. They told us no problem but to call back closer to the wedding and they would schedule it. Well when we called back to schedule they said we had to do it online and would not work with us. I always get my haircut here. You can do reservations here with a barber of your choice, but I have found that each barber here does a really good job. I usually get a skin tight fade, and for 25-30 bucks it's a fantastic haircut. Everybody here knows exactly what they are doing and they are sure to please. For anybody who is wanting to have an extended and therapeutic experience, the knife shave + haircut is an awesome time. It gives me nostalgia for a time I never knew. Hot shaving cream, sharp razors, and hot towel treatment feels awesome. Very cool ambience, the waiting room is comfortable and they play good music (generally classic rap) and they have plenty of magazine. If you are 21, they will offer you a complimentary  Pabst while you wait! Overall, an excellent place to go for a haircut. The wait can be long at times, but it's worth it because they really take their time when cutting your hair in order to make sure it comes out exactly how you want it. 10/10 barbershop, definitely give it a shot. I'm from coos bay. Have yet to find a good barber here. Wife and I were in Eugene, decided I'd give this place a whirl. VERY happy I did! I went in as a walk in. Sat down, had me a free ice cold beer while I waited 30-40 minutes (not too bad). Good music playing, lots of cool stuff on the walls to look at, I think I saw a stack of playboys in the corner (didn't read but thought that was cool). Anyways, Ivan takes me back, I give him a half ass description of what I was looking for. I have only had my hair cut professionally a hand full of times. Ivan went to work. Got me a nice fade, nice and short on top, good transition into my beard, beard trimmed, all my lines were perfect, and the straight razor shave on the back of the neck! Living in Eugene, you expect the services here to be "OK." Certainly not outstanding, but I don't think a decent haircut should be too much to ask for. I walked in, asked for a fade and "nothing too crazy." Explained the time since my last haircut and showed the barber (woman) how I typically style it. She proceeds to begin my haircut, working quietly-  I certainly did not feel the most welcomed, given it was my first time at Analog. Now everything was looking fine once she had finished the sides. However, she then begins to quite literally line-up my sideburns and neckline with a straight razor, bringing the hair far behind the natural growing hairline. Unfortunately for me, I noticed this once she was finished. Visibly upset, I ask why she, or any upscale barbershop, would ever do such a thing. She replies "it's all part of our design here, it's the geometry that looks best with every haircut." No, it does not. I ask her to stop with the haircut,  leaving before she further butchered my hair, completely dissatisfied. In conclusion, if you're looking for a hair style absolutely unsuitable in any professional environment, but maybe a "fresh geometric cut" that'll help you blend right in "the hood" then this is your place. 11/29 I'm so pissed off right now, but mostly dissapointed. My barber, the chick with the "unique" yellow haircut, totally disregarded what I told her. I went in there just wanting my sides cleaned up.(I was going for the undercut) I specifically told her I wanted my top long. What does she do? She ends up shortening everything! Tried this placed after a friend suggested it. I'm new to Eugene and have been searching for a great barber shop....the search is over.  This placed fit the bill on so many levels. I'm from the south,  and love soul.  When I walked in,  they had classic James Brown playing and it made me feel at home.  Classic album covers on the wall,  beer available should you care while you wait, truck tool boxes as barber work stations - pretty damn cool ambiance if you ask me.  You can get straight razor shaves,  beard grooming,  in addition to your mane cropped. I was greeted immediately upon walking in a made to feel welcome. The staff had a fun banter about them and made for a relaxed time. I loved the place and the best part was,  I got a great cut. I booked online the nite before,  late in the evening and received a confirmation from one of the barbers within an hour. My gal Ali loves my hair cut. This is now my go-to barbershop and Mario is the gent that I've entrusted with my hair. Called before hand and asked who specializes in fades with ethnic hair ,person who answered the phone replied "all of us" so went in and the white dude who cut my hair had me looking like Wesley snipes in the blade movies with a crooked patchy fade! I paid 25 bucks and had to shave my head when I got home. If you want a fade go to Mos faded or blessings . Don't trust these hipsters with your appearance. So.... I am one hairy dude that never shaved his face.  I get a haircut every couple months.....My co-workers attempt to strike a deal.   The deal was that I would shave my big ole beard if we raise 2000 razors for the Eugene Mission.   Well... I accepted!!!  This community has some BEARD hate!  They raised almost 4500 razors to help our guests at the shelter.  So,  where do I go??? Thank goodness I am a Yelper!  This place looked like the go to spot,  and boy I am glad I chose This shop.   We were pleasantly greeted with genuine friendly banter.   I could tell I was in the right hands.  Records from all my favorite bands scattered around, glorious second story window view and I am in the chair.   ROYALTY treatment.   Top notch careful hot towel shave.  My first, definitely not my last! Went here for a very simple haircut about a month ago. I'm new to the area so I found it on Yelp. It's upstairs so that's interesting, then again most of the businesses in Eugene are interesting. There are 3 employees, two on the left and one on the right - only one customer is getting their haircut. I look around try to make contact with the employees and the guy on the right sees me. "Are you available?" I ask. He barely looks at me, "Put your name on the list". "Cool" I said. 15 minutes later and after one of the available hair-cutting employees left the room, and the guy on the right finally had an appointment come in (I'm guessing he had an appointment yet no indication told me that, or the list) I left. Best haircut I've had in a LONG time. I used to go to an awesome rockabilly barber shop in downtown Sacramento, CA, and I am so pleased to say that I have found their match here. Finally!Got my hair cut from a woman here... alas I've forgotten her name twice now... starts with a C or a K I think... Damn. Anyways, she was great. Very nice and VERY detailed. Great atmosphere. Nice and clean, small but comfortable. The guys there are really laid back and easy to chat with. Francesco was my barber, didn't know what I wanted so I asked his expert opinion. Was not disappointed with the result. For $18, got the best and cleanest haircut I've yet had, so I gave him $25.
