I have had quite extensive work done with Kylee in the past.  From the very beginning, I was happy with the experience I had working with her.  She was welcoming and understanding and listened well to what I was looking for in a tattoo.  She offered some very holistic advice for me as prep for my tattoo, something no other tattoo artist ever did for me.  She clearly cares about her customers and her craft.  I have recommended her to friends in the past and will continue to do so whenever possible.  I live in Portland now, but I will very likely travel to Corvallis should I ever want to some additional work done. I came up to Oregon to visit family from California and decided to get a tattoo with my brother. I am very particular about who I let tattoo me seeing as that it is on your body for life. Kylee was extremely professional and knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable! This was my sixth tattoo and I got my some lettering on my rib cage (which I heard was painful) but I don't think I had ever been so relaxed and can honestly say I enjoyed the experience!! Kylee is an amazing artist who is very passionate about her work, she listens to the client and she will give her input and in the end we've always been extremely happy with the finished product! I was searching for a tattoo artist to help create a meaningful tribute. Someone who would listen to my idea and story and have the skills to put it to ink. I found such an artist in Kylee. She is compassionate and professional. Her private studio made me feel at ease and truly the focus.( I have other tattoos and don't like it when the artist is interrupted in a traditional parlor.) I came to Kylee with a necklace and a photo and an idea how to merge the two concepts. Her work came out beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I have never written a review before on yelp. But it bothers me when I see bad reviews for a shop that has been nothing but professional. I have had two tattoos done by Kylee. One was simple bold black text. Lots of room for error. I see it everyday and have found none. I was so happy with that tattoo that I went to her for a second tattoo.For the second tattoo I offered up a design and she saved me from utter embarassment. I wanted a maple leaf, the design I gave her was of a marijuana leaf. She made sure I had a maple leaf on my arm, for that I am ever grateful. Her shading was perfect.Between the tattoo's I have been to both the shop she worked for and the shop she now owns. I have never had a bad experience. I had a tattoo done by Kylee at Oregon Heart Tattoo last summer and I could not have asked for a more positive experience. Her shop is warm and comfortable and my tattoo is amazing. It brings me joy every day. Kylee is an incredible artist who continues to astonish me with the quality of her work. She is also able to do such amazing work very quickly, which helps minimize the discomfort for her customers. I have followed her artwork since she opened her business and it seems there is nothing that this woman can't do, and do exceptionally. My tattoo had very minimal scabing/ peeling which I can confidently attribute to the expertise and care of this artist. Though I was at first unhappy with the tattoo Kylie did, after she contacted me after my first review I decided to take it down. She also pointed out my review had some miss information. She is willing to fix my tattoo happily and I realize sometimes these things happen. As an artist, standing by your work is essential and the mark of a professional. The fact that she offered to fix my tattoo, shows she deeply cares for her work and the customer. After reading another review on here,  I decided to edit mine. The one other negative review about Oregon Heart is ridiculous and I advise anyone to disregard it. Read Less
